A Open Letter to Governor Kate Brown, Mike Whitney, and Celebrities

Open Letter to Governor Kate Brown,
Clinton Supporting Celebrities & Mike Whitney

We recently held a Presidential Election which also included state and local elections for Governor as well as all the other elected positions. Congratulations are in order for you, Gov. Brown, as you won election to Oregon's highest office.

In viewing the results, I notice that Mrs. Clinton won 51.7% of the popular vote, as opposed to 41.1% for Donald Trump. You won 50.5% of the popular vote. It seems that Oregon, like the rest of the country is pretty evenly divided in terms of liberals and conservatives.

The results were not distributed so evenly, however, if one analyzes the votes by county. Democrats won in only 8 counties in Oregon. Those counties are the most urban of our state, and are home to the largest cities. When one considers the protracted demonstrations against the results of the national election, I can only conclude that the Portland's displeasure is not only aimed at President-elect Donald Trump, but to his supporters as well. You, Governor Brown, have been elected to represent all of us. It remains to be seen how supportive you will be to the vast majority of counties, which are distinctly conservative.

I am quite confident that it is your desire to demonstrate that you will represent the people of this state fairly, whether they are Republicans or Democrats. To that end, may I make a suggestion? You have stated that you welcome immigrants from the Middle East to settle here and live in Oregon. Now, of course, unless we are Native American, it can be said that the rest of us are all from immigrant stock. This has worked out well for the majority of us until now. It has not worked out well in Europe and Scandinavia. Sweden, for instance, has become the rape capitol of Europe. On last year's New Year celebrations in Germany a thousand women were molested by these Middle-Eastern migrants. Christian churches in Germany are having to hire security to ensure that parishioners are not set upon by these Muslim immigrants, who have been masturbating and defecating in the pews during religious services. Infants have been torn from the arms of their parents during baptismal celebrations. Polls have shown that forty to sixty percent of Middle-Eastern immigrants desire to impose Sharia Law in the countries to which they have moved (or invaded).

You can pretty much figure that this would be unacceptable to the people living in the counties that voted for Trump. To be fair to both the immigrants as well as to the people of Oregon, my suggestion is this: place the immigrants from the Middle East that you want to welcome here in the counties that voted Democratic. Those would be the counties of Benton, Clackamas, Clatsop, Hood River, Lane, Lincoln, Multnomah, and Washington. You and your liberal compadres can welcome them with open arms. I would think that this would be the most comfortable thing for the immigrants as well.

After three or four years (when you will be up for re-election), we will all have the opportunity to see whether your policies have worked out the way you planned, or not. If so, we who were skeptical will have the opportunity to change our minds. And you, who chose to respect the feelings of Oregon's Republican-leaning counties will be re-elected by a landslide. I seriously implore you to demonstrate your respect for the voters of Oregon in this way.

Additionally, to the movie stars and celebrities who bemoan the fact that Donald Trump won the election and that Hillary lost, I have sadly come to the conclusion that you have nothing but disdain for the working class, because an attack on Trump is an attack on us. Those of us who work for a living are portrayed as ignorant, ridiculous, homophobic, misogynistic, racists despite the fact that it is not true.

I love movies. I admire the wonderful actors, actresses, directors, and producers who have given me so much pleasure over the years. I have never begrudged the phenomenal amount of money you make or the palatial homes you live in all over the world. Now, however, it has become clear that you have become woefully out of touch with the audiences who purchase the tickets to your performances. Now it is you who seem ridiculous, shallow, and uninformed. Now I do resent your politics of privilege and the pampered hypocrisy of your lives. Expect some blow-back for the hate you have spewed. What comes around, goes around. Even you ought to be able to figure that out.

The following is a copy of a letter that I wrote to Mike Whitney, a columnist who writes for Global Research.com. Explaining why I voted for Trump.

Hi, Mike.

I thought your article was pretty good, saying why Trump's financial plans won't work. I hope you are wrong, but still, I thought the article was fair. Not like most of the liberal writers totally demonizing him and his followers. So, thanks.

I'll tell you one thing that surprised me about Trump. It was when he said, "I love the under-educated."

When I read that, I unexpectedly got tears in my eyes.

Why? Because I had never heard anyone say that. In fact, the under-educated are almost universally despised. Trailer trash, white trash, ignorant slobs, etc. etc, are terms that are usually reserved for them.

I am under-educated. I earned a full scholarship to the Michigan State School of Journalism in 1967. But, I quit my senior year of high school, married a draft resistor and went to Canada. A few months later, he betrayed me and joined the Army with his friends. Two years later, we got divorced. It took me four years to get an associate degree while working. After that I met my second husband and figured I could go back to school. But, then his son (13 at the time) got cancer and I got pregnant. No time or money to return to school. We worked 3 jobs for 5 years to get out from under the $250,000 dollars we owed for our son's cancer treatment.

Every job I have had since then (sixteen years as a psychiatric child care worker and seven years at a newspaper) has required  a 4 year degree or "equivalent experience." But, my salary was capped at @7.25 per hour at both jobs.

In addition to being kept dirt poor, nothing but scorn has been heaped our way as we working class "slobs" have worked our collected asses off and suffered poverty the whole time. The working class is always portrayed as dumb fucks, crude and ridiculous. But, I find that most of them have interests that enrich our culture - hobbies after work like quilting, painting, building stuff that is useful, or some other activity other than taking selfies and talking on the phone.

So, when Trump said that he "loves the under-educated," it hit a nerve that I didn't know I had.

The Liberals have drunk the MSM kool-aid and now they think they are going to die. This is bullshit.
The working class listened to what Trump was saying and think they heard someone who actually gives a rat's ass for them. I hope we are not wrong.

I used to be a big Liberal and still retain the values of John and Robert Kennedy as well as Martin Luther King - all of whom were assassinated. I am actually praying (to Ganesh, as I am not a Christian) that The Donald will not be killed as well. Personally, I believe that I have a case of PTSD since the assassinations of my heroes. If Trump gets killed, I think I may literally go mad.

So, please ask your leftist com-padres to  lay off the demonizing of Trump, and wait to see if they are as wrong now as they were about everything else. Also, start reading, whatreallyhappened.com, the daily sheeple, The Drudge Report, and Government Slaves, for openers, in addition to the lamestream.

Thanks,

freeacre

Well, Hot Springs, that is just horrible. One hopes that when Trump gets in, he'll shitcan that piece of legislation. If freedom of speech and the press fails, the rest of our rights will be ripped to shreds. It would be like North Korea. Interesting times.

After reading your post I had to let things rap around inside my mind. It came to the reason Trump loves "under-educated" is he thinks they are easier to manipulate. I have to admit that you are not one of the under educated. You are highly educated in more ways than one. That is why I was taken back by you voting for Trump. I am not saying that is a good or bad thing However from following you all these years I would have never seen that coming. Trump doesn't care about anything but himself. There is no such thing as hope and change in politics until a little person like you or I lead the way. And I don't really see that coming either. Maybe you could tell us why you voted for Trump. My pick for commander and chief cook and bottle washer was the Greens. Scrap

I was reading an article recently that talked about some city back east where they are using planes with very high definition camera capabilities to record everything that is going on, on the ground in real time, and then storing the data, of course to be used for the " greater good ". It is a testing of the technology for eventual ( definite ) use on a much larger scale. Big Brother on steroids in the sky watching everything we do. We all know these kinds of things will be put into wide scale operation to try and control the populations given the coming increasing unrest and declining economic conditions.

People were fooled and pinned their hopes for a better future on Obama. I see who Trump is plugging into key positions and it shows already his real intentions. The train wreck of epic proportions for humans is still coming, its a done deal, it always was. In the meantime we live, and do the best we can to adapt to it all.

I'm sorry, Scrap, that my voting for Trump was a disappointment for you. I don't think that Trump is only in it for himself. I think that he has been consistent over the years when he said that he didn't want to run for President unless it became clear that he was compelled to because no one else would fight the neo-cons and the globalists and continue the never=ending resource wars. And, then, once the race began he noticed that he was heading a "movement" by the working class and that he has an obligation to them. Regarding his supposed "misogyny," I note that he has more female executives than males in his company, he pays them equally, and gives parental benefits. He also has given a free home, three meals per day, as well as fresh flowers every week to a disabled homeless black woman for the last NINE YEARS in the Trump Tower. I consider this an example of his big heart, and one that is not matched by any other candidate. If you read more of whatreallyhappened, black-listed news, governmentslaves, intellhub, and other conservative websites, you will become more aware of how I could have voted for Trump. The lamestream has done nothing but demonize him, probably because many of them are on the Soros payroll and are neo-con globalists.

If Trump does manage to be inaugurated and not killed first, it will remain to be seen what he can accomplish. I choose to take him at his word that he wants to focus on repairing our infrastructure, bring back jobs, and make the inner cities safe again. He seems to be a big believer in the power of positive thinking. I hope that it works.

I agree with you, Hot Springs, that the surveillance society is horrifying. A lot of it is portrayed in the Bourne movies, and it is a nightmare. The only things that can save us from that is an asteroid hit, an EMP event that takes out the grid, or some other gargantuan event that takes it all down. Even the President probably couldn't do it if he wanted to. Supposedly, there are 22 levels above the President when it comes to black ops programs and secrecy. In terms of our privacy, we are well and truly fucked.

The google sat images for our area have been updated since last year, so clear you could see a person on the ground. When I open up my smart phone map app, it shows a blue round marker for my location which is also different looking. It is so accurate now it can show which room in the house I am at with the phone. I saw an add last summer with Oliver Stone in it, and he held up a smart phone and said " this will be our undoing ". In the 2010 census for the first time ever, all residence GPS coordinates were recorded. Makes me think, PTB - trouble makers for them - drones, or just to come and get you otherwise when they feel the need to.

Net Energy for the world is declining. The energy left is poorer in quality, and much harder, hence much more expensive to get. Energy is the heart that makes things happen in the worlds complex cities and societies. You cannot run a world for long on quantitative easing scams, it takes real natural resources and energy, and a viable healthy biosphere. All of those are degrading/declining, and along with it the economies will too, as they are right now seeing the growth of the past stall, and all across the world contracting, which brings all the myriad problems of of the failings of our systems to human lives. Because this increasing decline in net energy is irreversible, contraction of the system, and its infrastructure continuing to degrade will be the trend line for the foreseable future. All of the abundant jobs of past won't be coming back. They were made possible in a unique period of access to massive amounts of relatively inexpensive and high quality energy/much higher net energy.

Hotspringswizard said...

Regarding energy decline, here is a great article discussing the true dire outlook for the US Shale Gas Industry. Check out the photo near the bottom of the article showing the huge amount of equipment and well pad footprint needed to drill just one shale gas well. That is an illuminating representation of just how desperate humans have become in trying to get the energy they need to run modern society. How much net energy is left for actual use once you subtract the massive amounts of energy and resources needed to extract and make available the gas from that one well? Now think of the output in resources and energy it takes to drill and produce just one well in the deep water ocean. You have seen the humongous oil platform for the Deep Water Horizon oil well. What is needed to get Canadian Tar Sands oil to a usable net oil state is off the scale more difficult and expensive. This is where the future is going for energy, and its consequences will wreck havoc on world economies.

Thanks for taking the time to respond Freeacre. Not disappointed at all. Was wondering what the perspective was. Learning to see the world from all perspectives
and understanding the transformation of things, we gain a deeper understanding of everything in the cosmos. Beginning to break away from the reality we typically experience, we learn what it means to feel spontaneity every moment of our everyday ordinary lives.

Everything is in a constant and ceaseless dance of movement and relationships, flux and shifts. Every occurrence becoming part of something else. The process of change and movement is happening in every moment. Everything at it's own pace becomes everything else in a cycle of endless change and transformation. It just happens. By tapping into these transcendental qualities enables us to resonate with the world by connecting with it. Only then can we tap into the different fluctuations of the Way.

A conscious mind focusing on what should be or what appears right is a limiting mind. Understanding how the arbitrary words and values we depend on actually are, we will not have closed our minds with rigid distinctions and values. Thus seeing ourselves as part of a greater world, understanding that the stuff that is us has always been part and parcel to the flux and transformation of the cosmos and will always be allowing the free and full embracing of life.

As I said neither good nor bad just curious and no disrespect meant. Coming here to enter endless as-if worlds to see the universe through the perspective of another, keeping myself open to everything, moving unconsciously with the Way and becoming a flowing part of the transformation of things. LOVE
Scrap

I am absolutely 100% behind your expressed sentiments to Gov. Kaye Brown, freeacre.

I also know we brought the enmity of the Muslim world on ourselves by falling for Bush/Cheney's 9/11 gambit. America reacted impulsively to the events of 9/11, as the Saudi/Mossad/globalist cabal expected, and so here we are, fifteen years and millions of innocent dead later, the laughingstock of western democracy, our economy in tatters, the deserving brunt of third-world hatred. Some of us, including troutclan members, tried to argue for restraint and critical thinking prior to Bush's invasion of Afghanistan, and subsequent attack of Iraq, but we were shouted down.

"...What we begged for never to be done is done in our name..."

And so it continues to go, presumably. The globalist cabal jerks our strings and we plebes jump instinctively.

Enter Trump. Assange. David Wilcock. Bannon. Fulford. Alex Jones. Quayle. Rense. Drudge. The White Dragon Society. Steve Piecenik. The White Hats. The patriots come with shovels for some serious swamp-draining in mind.

Rumor has it some top elites are dead. Others are under house arrest, while the vigilance committee awaits the Snake-in-Chief's departure before calling in the track hoes.

Hi Guys, I am a bit late for merry christmas but I hope that 2017 is what we hope for rather than what we expect. For some reason feeds stopped working for me, don't know why and I put a comment on the end of the old post before I realized there was a new one up.

Living some distance off the American planet, I don't know the persons your open letter is addressed to but if you can put together such an eloquent and well constructed argument then that is the point already made no matter what your academic achievements or how much money you have or haven't got.

Regarding the Muslims, all they ever wanted was to be left alone but we couldn't resist a bit of stick poking and now they are are here performing the roll the bankers have ascribed for them. Live with it or move the American population to the Middle East.

So far as energy goes, oil may or may not be a bit iffy depending on whose version you like best but hey, that don't make no never mind because we have natural gas forever. If that were true then why are we shitting in our own house with shale sands?

So 'They' can now tell which room of your house you are in or at least which room your smart phone is in. What a vane lot we are. GSM manufacturers were only responding to demand for folks that wanted to take selfies when they put a camera on each side of the phone. Or was it so that which ever way up your phone is resting they can still see inside your house. We hear so many things, your web cam is spying on you, any car with a computer has a transmit only phone built into the circuitry. It probably is all true, but then why don't we catch more criminals? Wait a minute, hasn't America got the greatest number of incarcerated people per capita of the population than any other country? The prisons are probably so full of black street corner dealers there is no room left for real criminals. Well, Soros and the major CEO's can breath a sigh of relief. As for ordinary folks it is probably off to the FEMA camps for them. Now isn't that a choice, raped by a black guy or fucked by your government. Happy 2017.

That video was pretty horific. That is where big hearts and a naive attitude gets you. Just believe that nothing is random and everything you are seeing is part of a pre-defined plan. So far as the comers in are concerned, the Afghans are the worst behaved but it is only a matter of degree. Still, they have God on their side so what can any of us say? Big Brother is on steroids. I just watched the movie Snowden. Its mindboggling what they are doing. Yesterday on RT there was an interview on the Larry King show with the McAffe antivirus creator ( John ) and he discussed how the whole surveillance complex has spiraled completely out of control. As far as Trump, I see him and his comrades bringing no positive changes, actually much worse conditions, and it will not be just because of him, its the whole system. Like even though Snowden revealed the dark heart of empire and what it was doing to spy on its citizens, things have gone downhill from there.

I guess we should extend a "Happy New Year" to everybody. We'll have to figure out how to make it a happy one with all this potential for disaster. We just watched the newest Jason Bourne movie again. They made it once there was a bunch of new stuff in terms of surveillance to make people aware of. Depicts how we are being watched all the time and how the younger, computer savy ones in the alphabet agencies are taking charge.
One positive thing is that interview between Sean Hannity and Julian Assange. Trump is not going along with the program to demonize Putin. He is a friend to Sean Hannity, and Hannity believes in Assange. So there is some hope there. If anyone else had gotten the Presidency, the bombs would probably already be falling. In reaction to troops and weaponry placed along the Russian border, I hope Putin puts in transgender bathrooms and "safe spaces" for our troops. That would be pretty funny.
Seems like there is a new story every day about some alien sighting or UFO's or asteroids or Nibiru, etc. I am still anticipating a faux alien invasion. Got the popcorn ready just in case...
I'm also worried about the increased energy coming our way due to the massive coronal hole and the energy field the solar system is traveling through. Increased energy is heating up our molten core, putting more pressure on the volcanoes and fault lines. Since we are surrounded by 40 volcanic cinder cones and one of the largest calderas in the world, it's not just a mental exercise. Guess we'll just have to stay tuned.
I can hardly wait to see "Snowden." For a delightful change of pace, I recommend "Captain Fantastic" with Viggo Mortensen (one of my favorites). Awesome movie has been haunting me for days.

I recommend reading "The Real Lincoln," by Thomas DiLorenzo, for a better understanding of how the "several States" lost substantial amounts of sovereignty to the federal government under Lincoln's tenure as president. In effect, Lincoln 'set up' the country to undertake empire- building by consolidating and streamlining power, to the detriment of the constitution. Globalization appears to be a logical next step to this usurpation and centralization of federal powers.

This article seems long on problems we on this forum have been aware of and confounded by since, I dare say, its inception. Not so long on solutions, unfortunately.

The globalist elite, ie., the international banking cartels and their political minions, would have us believe only through radical depopulation and oligarchic subjugation of the remaining masses can the world be made safe for totalitarian elitists, and they are correct.

Obviously, it is not in the best interests of the ninety-nine per cent to entertain such anti-humanist baloney. There must be a better way. Have we, for too long, looked at and not seen?

Only reasons I can think of are 1) leads to chaos that will allow martial law and one world government and 2) to keep money going into the pockets of the military-industrial complex rather than re-building infra-structure. So hypocritical of us to criticize Russia for intervention in Crimea after we destabilized Ukraine and put in our puppet. And the people of Crimea speak Russian and VOTED to unite with Russia. "Zebify
Twas the night before Inauguration, and up in the tower,

The Donald reflected on his newfound power.

The conservative masses had come out in force,

And delivered a victory that would chart a new course.

The snowflakes were shell-shocked with tears in their eyes,

The media lied to them . . . What a surprise.

They had been promised a Hillary win,

But the criminal Clinton took one on the chin.

And though from all corners celebrities flew,

They made no impression, for they hadn’t a clue.

They talked about climate, racism, and such,

And they made up good stories . . . But didn’t know much.

The fake news and ignorance came at a cost,

And they can’t understand all the reasons they lost.

They blame it on Comey and Bernie and Vlad,

But fail to acknowledge the one that was bad.

Yes, Hillary Clinton, in many ways flawed,

Was her own biggest hurdle toward getting the nod.

The campaign exposed her corruptness and greed,

And her speeches were punch-less as ten dollar weed.

So out in the streets there arose such a clatter,

It was Soros-paid protestors and Black Lives Matter.

With cities to pillage and windows to smash,

They knew not the issues, but needed the cash.

Eight years of Obama had given them cause,

To expect a replacement of their Santa Claus.

But soon the protestors will feel the pain,

When the wheels fall off of the old gravy train.

And now all the snowflakes are riddled with fear,

Upset and offended by things that they’ll hear.

The cocoa and crayons will help for a while,

But fact-based opinions will soon cramp their style.

I originally supported, and voted, for Cruz,

In the end, I would vote for whoever they choose.

He wasn’t my first choice, but soon I would cede,

The one they call Trump is the one that we need.

I saw him on TV in front of a crowd,

He spoke about veterans, it made me feel proud.

He spoke about energy, safety, and jobs,

Taking this country back from the Washington snobs.

He was dressed in Armani, all tailored and neat,

And the Brunos he wore made the outfit complete.

For a man of his vintage, he seemed rather fit,

And he looked presidential, I have to admit.

His eyes glowed like embers, his smile was the best,

And his hair was the color of my old hunting vest.

His love for this country was on full display,

And his actions spoke louder than his words could say.

He thanked all his voters, and before he was gone,

Saved thousands of jobs while Obama looked on.

The fate of this country left nothing to chance,

So, he filled out his cabinet weeks in advance.

The men he had chosen were of the same mind,

Let’s set the bar high, and not lead from behind.

He picked up his phone as he rose from his seat,

With a flick of his finger, he sent out this tweet;

“Now Mattis!, now Kelly!’ now Sessions! And Pruitt!

On Perry! On Flynn, You’re the ones who can do it.

Start lifting restrictions and building the wall,

Now dash away! Dash away! Dash away all!”;

The roar of his audience rose from the stands,

He kissed all their babies and shook all their hands.

He answered their questions and calmed all their fears,

They knew it would be a fantastic four years.

Then he jumped in his limo, and off to his jet,

A fellow that Liberals won’t soon forget.

He sent one more tweet as the evening expired;

“Happy Inauguration to all,

AND OBAMA – YOU’RE FIRED!”"

Well, so far so good. Trump has been inaugurated, and the parade is going off without a hitch. Yea! I am getting blasted and plan to eat a steak, artichokes, and pineapple upside down cake in celebration. One interesting thing I learned this week is from an interview he did where they were questioning him regarding his religion. His personal pastor for several years was Norman Vincent Peale - author of The Power of Positive Thinking. When I think about it, Trump seems like the perfect example of someone who follows Peale's teachings.

My happiness is somewhat tempered with the news that the cancer has returned again. Have to do something about it. Not sure what yet.

Gotta fire up that positive thinking.

We started at the top of the page by talking about the surveillance state. It now turns out the ones who you thought were your friends, actually aren't. Google maps has been tracking every journey you make whilst carrying your smart phone. Seems unlikely? You can check yourself what they have on you. The message is, don't carry your smartphone when you are not where you are supposed to be.

Haha, I got a real belly laugh out of that one freeacre. I showed it to Chris too and she had her hand over her mouth as she was watching it. I have also sent it around the circuit here with one positive result so far.

When I first came here it took me a little time to latch on to the Black Peate thing (Peate is spelled with an extra 'a' here) because we don't have it in England and you might not have understood it either. What happens in Netherlands and Belgium is that Santa stays in the sleigh and sorts out the presents for the next lot of childeren whilst his assistant Peate climbs down the sooty chimneys to deliver the presents. Of course since we are multicultural now (this actually means selectively cultural) we have to whole hartedly embrace immigrant cultures whilst they can pick and choose which of ours they like and don't like. So, the mischief makers have been at work in finding Black Peate offensive in order to put their host country at a disadvantage and themselves on up over us. I think that if his job is to climb down sooty chimneys then what colour do you expect him to be?

In order to have the support and trust of the country, those who exercise power in government must identify themselves with the humblest of the population. To be seen riding in limos and living in palatial houses only causes resentment, envy, and distrust in those whom the politician seeks to lead. If it is someones nature to be a servant of the people, he needs no reward for serving. If it is not his nature, then he should not be in office. How could you trust such a person to put the welfare of the people above his own ambitions? If politicians were required to live in the same circumstances as those of the poorest citizen, the plight of the poorest in our societies would be improved very quickly.

SATS

Well Anon 8,05 in just six lines you have opened up a massive can of worms. Essentially, I wholehartedly agree with you but as in life, things are not as simple as that. For example, if your particular head of state was going to the airport to meet and greet another head of state then what level of ride would you expect him to turn up in? Remember, you don't get a second chance to make a first impression and every small detail is part of the negotiation. Do you reckon the wife's family saloon would be okay?

On one side you have, for example Hillary. She sees herself as the head of government and the lynchpin at the hub of all the industries whose names begin with the word Big, Big ag, Big pharma etc. She is at the top of the pyramid, the one all the lobiests ultimately try to get to. She is at home in the company of cental bankers and the top of the tree in Wall Street. She mixes with the heads of state of Saudi Arabia; Qatar, Israel etc and bullies the ones whose countries end with the word -stan. She turned Lybia into a failed state and in so doing directly caused the European migration crisis, all because she thought a victorious little war over an easy opponent would increase her chances of presidential electorial victory. It is hard to see what she has in common with a single mother who has just taken a third part time job to pay for chreche care whilst she is doing the other two. I don't believe she thinks such a persons problems should impact on her life in any way at all.

Then we have the other side of the coin. Let's take Gaddafi since I have just mentioned Lybia. He was the greatest leader for his own people and at the same time regarded with great suspicion by the rest of the world. Other world leaders regarded him as downright odd. For example, when on a state visit to Russia, he stayed in a yurt errected in the Kremlin gardens. This was a negotiation and what he was actually saying was “Don't think about trying to buy me with the trapings of luxury.” Gaddafi's acomplishments can be found here:

https://troutclancampfire.blogspot.be/2011/12/freedom-and-order.html

Start at the paragraph that begins “Let us look at a hypothetical example of how freedom might be wasted.” Incidentally, Gaddafi was (to my knowledge) the only leader who successfully sorted out how a bottom up structure could work in a complex society.

I can't remember the name of the first president of Bangladesh, all I know is that he didn't last very long. Those in government around him didn't think it was very preidential of him to spend many of his days deciding which of two families should be the rightful owner of a cow. He on the other hand believed that this is what Government of the people actually meant.

The last Pres of Uraguay was known for his very informal dress code and the fact that he only ever worked mornings. In the afternoon he went home to his modest bungalow and helped his wife in the vegetable garden.

So yes, leaders ascociating themselves with their people can be done but it is very unusual in the modern world and these people tend to aleanate themselves from other heads of state who just don't get it.

Anonymous said...

Your points are well thought out and quite detailed. So just by that it appears simplicity and common sense are something you find dis-ease with. I was not trying to open a can of worms. Just thoughts from a a member of a clan. I was not looking for correction or instruction in thinking the way you do. I do have a question though: are you a citizen of the United States of America and if you are why do you not live here?

freeacre said...

This is an interesting discussion. I think the leader of Ecuador is a simple man, too. And I think the other world leaders would be uncomfortable around him. Because the world leaders are the Elites. If they aren't when they enter the government, they are by the time they leave. Like G. Carlan said, "It's a big club, and you ain't in it." It's all propped up by the corporate media, which portrays them in a gushing light. They tell us to respect and admire them. Anything less is just unthinkable.
That's what Trump did. He had the audacity to call them names. "Crooked Hillary," "Lyin' Ted," "little Rubio," etc. He got rid of the TPP with a sap of his fingers. A war against TPTB seemed impossible. But, now he's got them shaking in their boots. Amazing.

Gifts

When there was a dog, scores of creeks
arranged my days. Hills rolled years away
in afternoons of bloom and wind. Scent,
taste, sound, the pure pleasures worth losing
one's self in, we found, stalking treasures
in semi-arid sun. Prickly pear spines
and porcupine quills poked fun. I felt
a certain guilt on days I couldn't work
a short walk in, as if obliged to manage
both routines. The boulder fields,
the cottonwood bottoms and all the dump runs
between now stack like cords of memories
against an unimagined chill. I creak
and groan going uphill. I've grown
uncreeked, reticent in my chair.
I miss the old dog's prompts and pleas.
She sleeps there, under the raspberries,
at the corner of the lawn. Wants and needs
I thought I had met were gifts to me I relish yet.
were gifts to me I relish yet.

The dam collapse will offer cover for the international banksters to absolve themselves of any blame or guilt. "Not our fault." "Bad luck." "Act of God." Extensive and very detailed info about the Orville Dam situation can be found here, https://www.metabunk.org/oroville-dam-spillway-failure.t8381/
Checking out all the info I would say the main dam will not collapse. They have lowered the lake level a great deal. The details of the alternative spillway construction in diagrams looks to be a rather robust structure. Even if it was breached at some point by undermining circumstance from the downhill runoff, the geology of more solid rocks just below the surface would hold up to the flow I think, even though depending upon the inflows to the dam in extremely heavy rains it could mean big flooding and possible levy breaks down along the Feather River and further south towards Sacramento. The bill to fix this will be huge!

RP, about that Oroville you tube video, near the end the man referred to the " gates " for the emergency spillway. He also referenced at that time the " gates " of the main spillway as it relates to the power supply that runs them. There are no gates on the emergency spillway, it just overflows the weir, its basically a long cement wall. It appears to me that he just really meant the main spillway but mistakenly said the emergency spillway gates.

They had been running the flow of the main spillway up around 100,000 cubic feet per sec ( CFS ), and then once they got the lake level down at a more safe range they backed off to 60,000 to hopefully cause less further damage to the broken main spillway. They could increase the flow again if the lake was to rise to full again. The capable flow through the power plant at the base of the dam is only about 12,000 ( I thought I read somewhere 16,000 CFS ) so is not a big percentage in the capabilities available to lower the lake level.

He says there are only three options for lowering the lake, meaning the main spillway, the power plant outlets, and the emergency spillway, but I did see in the Metabunk thread a map showing that there are two other smaller dams that help create lake Oroville, Even though their outlets are at a bit lower level than that of the main spillway, the person showing the map and info said that they could be used also to help lower the lake level in an emergency. One of these dams is a bit south of the main dam in a canyon, and the other is a good ways north in another canyon.

With all of these various options, I don't think the main Oroville Dam will ever be compromised. Where the emergency spillway overflows down the hill you can see from the erosion that happened, that the hill under a veneer of dirt is rock. There is a lot of info at the Oroville thread that discusses and shows in diagrams the rock geology under the dam structures. Still, I would not want to be living downstream from it ;)

Where I grew up in Upland, So Cal, we lived quite near the base of the San Antonio Dam, and there was massive flooding in 1969 and it almost filled to the brim. One night we almost got evacuated because of this. The floodwaters washed down through the Mt Baldy Village upstream and through a couple of trout ponds where you pay to fish. A bunch of those trout ended up in the lake created behind the dam. On into summer the lake went down and down. My friends and I went up a few times fishing and caught some trout. Then when the lake dwindled to just a shallow pond we went up one day and were able to coral a bunch of the remaining trout back in little channels, then we caught them by hand and brought home a big bag of them to eat :)

I would have thought Israel, but that's just me. Is the CIA giving Trump the real story or misleading him? But, when McCain and even Hillary backs him, you gotta know it is sick and wrong. I'm very disappointed. The neocons seem to have Trump under their thumb now. Did they threaten his kids, like they did to Ross Perot?
Thanks, Rockpicker, and anyone else who held prayers or good thoughts for me during the surgery. Seems to have gone OK.
I'm reading a good book - "The Myth of Human Supremacy" by Derrick Jensen. Examples of the mistreatment of animals actually brought me to tears more than once.

According to James Corbett, those Tomahawks cost the U.S. 1.4 million a piece, times 59, is 82.6 million dollars. Seems like pretty expensive theater, as I propose this was, as little real damage has resulted from Trump's attack.

Here's some real intel.
