Ah…2009! A new year! A new round of potential pitfalls, atrocities, threats, and disasters to anticipate and rail against. In view of all the catastrophes forecast on some of the sites that we frequent, I’m just glad that we are all still here.
Perhaps a review of 2008’s predicted calamities or fortuitous events (depending on how you look at them) that did not come to pass is in order.
First, of course, is the perennial favorite: the Second Coming of Christ. It didn’t happen again. Hasn’t happened any year since he died, but that does not stop the annual anticipation of The Rapture. Actually, the Essenes were looking forward to the Apocalypse even before Christ appeared in the first place, but, then, who’s keeping track? The concept continues to sell a lot of books, packs ‘em into the pews, and brings mucho money into the collection plates, so it will not end anytime soon.
Then there is the New Age updated version, Maitreya, the messiah that Benjamin Creme has been prophesying to the world since the 70’s and 80’s. I attended an enthusiastic presentation by Mr. Creme in Portland, Oregon back in the day, and was impressed with his sweet old Englishman affect and his twinkling blue eyes. But, despite his charm – no modern messiah has strolled up the street so far. Rats.
And, all the dire symptoms not withstanding, the presidential election was pulled off without Bush and Chaney declaring martial law and suspending the election.
Oh, and those secret Ninjas that Benjamin Fulford disclosed did not jump out of the woodwork and assassinate any miscreant government, corporate or financial leaders of the world, either.
It also seems that President-elect Obama is neither a Muslim, a Jew, a communist, nor the anti-Christ. Hell, he’s not even a Jehovah’s Witness! He may be a corporate toady, but that has yet to be determined. The only sure exotic thing about him is that he was raised in Hawaii, which I consider a plus. He still seems to be a viable human being to me, despite the company that he keeps. We will have to stay tuned, I guess.
Despite supposed messages from the Pleiades, black ops whistle blowers, psychic intuitives, planetary and galactic alignments, or even web bot analysts, we did not experience major earthquakes, a tsunami in the Northwest, Bird Flu, war with Iran, a major false flag event, or transformative cosmic rays. I am still keeping a watchful eye out for those, though.
And, that two-mile long Mother Ship that was supposed to show up over Alabama in October did not appear, either. Damnit!
Yeah, and on top of that, all those claims (“as appearing on Oprah”) that drinking green tea will make you lose a bunch of weight didn’t work as promised. And, I’m out forty bucks.
Now, I know that an earthquake could hit tomorrow or I could be diagnosed with Mad Cow any day, and I would just look like even more of a moron. But, for now, I am just pausing to take a breath, calm down, and vow to be less of a chucklehead next year.
I’m sick of sending stuff to my sister-in-law, who then informs me that Snopes just discredited my information.
This is not to say that there are no real threats. “Just because you are paranoid, it doesn’t mean that no one is out to get you,” as has been said. There are real threats. The global financial construct is tanking, and I no longer think that it is a coincidence that it dovetails with the Baby Boomers reaching the age to retire. People are being thrown out of their homes and losing their jobs, and it is going to get even tougher next year. The electrical grid is very vulnerable and a lot of people could get very cold and die this winter if there is a widespread disruption of heating their homes. A lot of pensions and 401Ks may be lost next year and dreams of a comfortable retirement for a lot of people will be gone. Criminals in high places abound. So, many of the agencies and departments and companies that we rely on for our health and safety betray the people they are supposed to protect, and so we sicken and die. That’s a flat fact. Resource depletion is real. Climate change is real (whether it’s because of CO2 or the influence of the Sun). The oceans are dying. Monsanto is taking over the food supply with genetically altered Franken Food. Famine and food shortages are realities now. Israel has become some sort of Old Testament horror story. Warfare is escalating all over the globe, and may even go nuclear.
We seem to have invented a system that insures that we pay incredible sums of money to elect representatives to our government who become corrupt, self-absorbed, greedy, perverse criminals. Or, they are lazy, spoiled, self-indulgent dullards; or, privileged, insulated, power mad elitists; or good, hard-working idealists who are marginalized and ineffectual… or, combinations of the above.
Anyway, for the most part, we are on our own, and we do need to prepare and take care of ourselves and each other. Actually, I am looking forward to turning my energy away from the Wall Street hucksters and the Beltway numb nuts and Their Contrived Bullshit (TCB) to more and more localized endeavors: like seed catalogs, gardening, preserving, and simplifying, joining the Grange, organizing a farmer’s market and trading post. I plan to reach out to more and more neighbors and sharing practical responses to actual problems in real time.
I don’t pretend to know what will happen next year. All kinds of dramatic disaster movie scenarios come to mind – War of the Worlds, Grapes of Wrath, Red Dawn, Andromeda Strain, Soylent Green, The Postman, Invasion of the Body Snatchers, Children of Men. But, on the other hand, my experience has been much more benign. I have found most of my neighbors to be interesting and cooperative, helpful, intelligent, and fun to be around. The weird stuff out there that captures my attention, raises my blood pressure and my fear levels, is mostly far away and speculative. They have to come up with things that are entertaining and provocative, or they are out of business.
I wonder what outfits like “Moveon.org” are going to do once Bush is out of office? Since many of their plans to influence the powers that be include sending them a check, I doubt that they will disband. Oh, and thank you so much, moveon, common cause, etc. I’m so impressed with the results you got with all those petitions. Come to think of it, did ANY of the petitions I signed and forwarded, do any good? NO? Does that mean I should sign even more petitions? See what I mean with the “chuckle head” thing?
But, I am grateful to those who have really given us a heads up warning as to what is really going on and what to prepare for. I am happy that we have taken tangible steps to creating a better future for ourselves because it has also enabled us to create a life that is more enjoyable in the here-and-now as well. And, without them, the Trout Clan would not have come to be. So, I am grateful to all those linked on our blog.
Anyway, I hope that all that should end, does end in 2009. I pray for the relief of suffering and some happy surprises. With some luck, it will be both the Beginning of the End, and the Beginning of the Beginning. So, have a Happy New Year and remember that…
WE WERE BORN FOR THIS!!

Ceasing to be a chuckle head is a bit too much for me to tackle right now!
So my new year resolution is to learn to make a decent pie crust! I think I'm on the right track, as I made a lemon meringue pie today and it's not half bad, even the crust.

Exemplary!! A decent pie crust is a blessing to the world! Want some tips?
To Improve Taste: add a teaspoon of sugar to the flour; use Butter flavored Crisco or, more healthy, coconut oil for shortening.Old fashioned lard might be good. I haven't tried it, but at least it is not hydrogenated.
To Improve Texture: Handle as little as possible. Too much stirring and playing with makes it tough. Add as little water as you can, but increase the shortening to make it more light & flaky.
For looks: Purchase one of those rings that goes around the crust so that the edge doesn't get over brown. Brush the crust with a little milk and sugar before baking for it to look more "finished."
Good tips! Thanks, freeacre.
Dave
First a response to the last post: part-time employees also do not qualify for employment. The official figures also do not count people who have run out of benefits or are underemployed (like me).
FA wrote: "I hope somebody is lying awake at night trying to figure out ways to help people survive."
I am but so far I haven't gotten very far.
The reason most real disasters aren't movie-worthy is because they aren't spectacular. Sure, things change, but life pretty much goes on as before. People just make changes and keep going. Thus it has always been.
I just brush my pie crust edges with water or melted butter and that keeps them from burning just fine, as long as I don't put them too close to the element. Pie is good! Eat more pie!
I've all ready gotten four seed catalogs and am anxiously watching the mail. I don't order from that many seed houses, but I seem to be on about a dozen lists. You know you're a gardener when you run to the mailbox everyday in December and January!
From Belgium,
Freeacre, you forgot to mention the advent of the Codex. Whilst we are on the subject of food, sometimes I can make a perfect plate pie with a pastry base and crust and other times it is constructing interesting shapes for a patchwork quilt. The thing is that I do the same thing each time so I don’t know why the results are different. Maybe I should start using harder fat or lard. One thing I read is that the flour can age once it is opened so I have started to keep a half watchful eye on this. If this is so then it kinda knocks the idea of buying bulk sacks sideways. Would, say keeping 20 one kilo (2lb) sacks on the shelf be a good idea or not? What is your feeling about putting the dough in the freezer for ten minutes before rolling it out? I tried this once and it helped a little bit. Maybe chilling the mixing bowl in the fridge before I start would help. There are so many variables just to do a simple thing. If it didn’t work at all I would be quite happy to struggle on and find a solution but sometimes it all works as it should and I don’t know why?
For those of you who have trouble getting your pie crust just right, you might want to try my method -- let me hasten to add it's not original with me.
I roll it out between two sheets of waxed paper. You have to put a drop of water under the bottom sheet to keep it from sliding all over your workspace when you push on the rolling pin, but this method keeps you from working in extra flour, which *might* be the problem when you aren't satisfied with your results.
As far as ceasing to be a chuckle head -- I think that's beyond my ability, too.
i have never felt so beaten as when i tried and tried to make a fucking piecrust,i just knew at the time that this was the hell that the cross worshipers spoke of in the everlasting sense.
SO i decided to be perfect in something else and that ain't worked out yet either.
what the fuck, taint fair i tell ya.
o, SATS, yes flour does go rancid because of the oil that oxidizes, keeping it cold and sealed helps, but best is to grind your own wheat or whatever fresh with either a hand grinder (nice when the power goes away) or like i got, a little device that attaches to my Champion Juicer and works like a charm/
listen guys, i hate to rag on this but this year it might be a good idea to bite the bullet and work (play) at getting as healthy as possible, it ain't that hard to do and the hardest part of all at least to me is DETOXING the body. this is a bitch getting rid of all those years of accumulated toxins that we ingest through our mouths, lungs, skin, etc.
there is a lot of info on the net about this but you have to use severe discretion and plenty of research cause there are all those fly by night cocksuckers that could give a shit about you and your health and are just in it for your hard earned pesos.
from personal experience it can and is being done and what's more is is that the environment is so toxic now that this is going to be a lifetime endeavor if one is going to lead any semblance of normality i think.
sounds shitty huh?
but it ain't, its just the way it is, either clean our bodies or cave in to some nightmare disease, i mean my last surviving brother looks like a walking corpse as a result of a lifetime of drug use, the worse being cigs and booze of course, actually most of the deaths in my immediate family have or are dying from these two fun filled items.
need to clarify some, one size does not fit all, there are folks in there nineties (and i know one ole gal right here in our village of that age) who have smoked for fifty or sixty years and still look ok? well still functional, sorta.
Anyway i can tell you one thing for sure after biting the bullet the transferring from feeling shitty most of the time to feeling good most of the time and really excellent a lot of the time is differently worth it. i mean it really makes a difference, the world just looks way better, nicer, clearer, more friendly, and problems seem way less hostile and easier to solve or actually self-solve as it were.
if there were any other way to do it i would be the first to jump on it but after much foot-dragging there was just no other choice, and you know what? the world we are moving into is going to demand that we be at our topnotch ability to handle it. thats all.
so, with that bit of good news lets all have a really good new year and do our best to really make a difference in something/ maybe pie crusts? hummmm, naw, will see the little ole pie making lady down the street and trade her for something, like shoveling her driveway or some such.

freeacre,
This is off-topic, and forgive me if it stirs up a hornet’s nest with you, but I just read your letter about your appalling sewer ordeal over at Of Two Minds, and I’ve got to say, I feel for you!
God, these government people are so imperious! They obtain these jobs, what with their lavish pay and benefits, and settle their disgusting, corpulent butts into their chairs for a cushy rest of their lives. Their superiors and peers pass on to them the attitude that they’re “special,” superior to the lowly peons they ostensibly serve, and it goes to their heads. Over the years, as their confidence and “specialness” swells their heads, they become imperious, all the while forgetting that they exist to serve, not terrorize the public! Frankly, I don’t think any other outcome is possible with government. The very nature of it, always seeking to expand its power, produces this outcome. Only a lunatic could advocate more government.
People are all fretting that state and local governments might go bankrupt. I say, hooray! Let them all go out of business! It cannot happen swiftly enough for me.
Dave

this is off topic, but I saw freeacres comments on oftwominds on water treatment.
The composting toilet idea is a non-brainer,why would you spend 40,000 to flush your waste into the water system?when 1000 will do?
(I have a composting toilet on my live-aboard sailboat)I think composting toilets should be the law,not the exception
Nice to hear from you, Shadowfax. I'll tell you, it took us two years of organizing and resisting and e-mailing and protesting and testifying to get them to include composting toilets as an acceptable alternative to the system they prefer. Why? They said they don't want them because "you could put one in, and then change back to a septic system, and we wouldn't be able to tell." Real reason: they can't figure out how to make money on it.
Montana, Rockpicker, et al from Yellowstone area - if you start getting nervous due to the earthquakes around there, feel free to head our way for a visit!
Belgium, please remind me of what the Codex is, it seems to have slipped my memory banks...
All these tips on pie crust are great! Remember what Charles Hugh Smith says - Cooking homemade meals is a revolutionary act!
And, Montana, I made really crappy pie crust for years until I finally broke down and bought the right stuff to make pie crust. Like a real rolling pin (instead of a wine bottle) and a real pastry blender (the thing with the handle and the wires to cut in the shortening). From then on, it's just practice.Bartering with the pie lady is probably good, too. lol
PANTRY MOTH INFESTATION REDUX!
Aaaarrrghhh! I guess we learn by doing. The fluttering little faux butterflies are back. Damn! I'm not really sure what the source is. Part of it, at least, was a big bag of wild bird seed I had in the living room. From the last time they showed up, I've still got nuts, seeds, and brown rice in the freezer. But, now I have taken a big box and 3 garbage bags and filled them with oatmeal, pasta, boxes of cake mixes, Bisquick, and assorted teas and brought them out on the back porch to freeze. Now I will purchase plastic tupperware type containers to put them in before they are stored inside. The only things that they have not gotten into is white flour and sugar. Just goes to show you how un-nutritious they are, I guess.
Since I have learned that flour goes bad relatively quickly, I will start using up what I have stored (I have 300 pounds of bread flour) and replace it with wheat berries. Since I have plenty of regular food stored up, from now on, I will purchase stuff for longer storage, like nitrogen-packed, from now on - so that we get to eat it, and not the friggin' moths.
Now that we have the garden going good and the chickens and rabbits, it takes the pressure off trying to store up a lot of foods.
And, Dave, you are probably right about the nature of government. It all sounds so good until you see it in practice and all the ways that it is corrupted, sabotaged and perverted. It is demoralizing. I would like to think that humans are better than this, but history does not support the notion.
From Belgium,
Anon 3.40
I guess that most who visit here know that I am moving house, or rather apartment. We have a months overlap between the two places so in the new one it is stripping wallpaper, painting, laying floors etc, then it is moving over and then back to tart the old place up, good enough to get our deposit back at least. The point is that every time I go to the new place I take things with me and the kitchen scale has gone but the ingredients and the oven are still here but you can bet that as soon as I am installed then I am going to try that waxed paper trick of yours – thanks.
Mf, thanks for confirming that info about the flour.
Dave and all
I have to tell you that as bad as it looks, governments, national, state and local will not go bankrupt, they have money enough, (In the region of Tn 60) it is just that Joe public doesn’t know where to find it. Administrations at all levels keep two sets of books, one for projects that make a profit and ones for those that don’t. If it doesn’t make a profit then the solid citizens of the USA, put their shoulders’ to the wheel to foot the bill and if it does then the proceeds are diverted into off the books slush funds. If this sounds too simple and improbable then here is how it works.
http://www.brasschecktv.com/page/512.html
You all know the adage that money brings power; power corrupts and absolute power, well you know how it goes. The ‘real’ accounting is contained in a document called the Comprehensive Annual Financial Reports but firstly you have to know it exists and then know where to find it. I must warn you out front that this is a very long video, almost three hours and no text version I could find. With the house move I could not give this much time so I have not seen it through yet.

You have seen this before I am sure but it is worth another look especially since Jan 1, 2009 is the day the axe falls, so to speak.
Finally, I would remind everyone of the adage that things are never as good as they look but never as bad as they seem.
Aho.
From Belgium,
Here is a nice little text add on to the CAFR video I mentioned above.
http://cafr1.com/BiggestGameInTown.html
Belgium,
Your CAFR links are most interesting. If this is true, it explains a bunch of things:
* Why corporations are so friendly to government (because the government owns them!)
* Why government is so eager to prop up stock prices (because it owns them!)
* How government is able to so facilely manipulate all the markets (because it's a huge covert player in so many of them!)
* Why I so loathe the both of them (because they are one and the same!)
It also raises a troubling notion: that for a long time the U.S. has been a de-factor communist country! After all, if it owns most of the land, the resources and means of production, and the people work for it, then our nation is in essence a communist country. Throw in a dash of totalitarianism and despotism and you have made the perfect communist recipe.

Holy Cow! I just watched the COMEX video. Yikes! If this thing goes through, it will be illegal to create our own unpolluted food supply. A pox on these bastards!
We struck a blow against the SOB's today when we butchered our first rabbits. I'll tell you our tale. It's not to say that our way is the only way, it is just the way that we did it...
First, we lit some sage and saged each other, to reduce any negative vibes. I asked the sage people to help me to not cry and blubber because I did not want to frighten the rabbits.
Then, we brought the rabbits into the greenhouse one at a time to do the deed without the chickens or the dog getting involved.
So, when the first rabbit arrived, I saged the rabbit and said, "Little friend, it is time for you to go back home. You have done a good job here making food for the planet, and we are grateful. I hope we have helped you have a happy and comfortable life during your sojourn here. But, now the Great Mother awaits to welcome you into Her loving embrace, and your brothers and sisters are rejoicing at your return."
Then Murph put it's feet into a slip knot and hung it upside down. When it settled, I petted it and said, "Go home, Little One." And Murph put a pellet gun to the back of its head and pulled the trigger. Lights out. No struggling.
A few cuts and the pelt came off like a fluffy sweater. Cut off the head and feet, and took out the innards. Rinsed it off, and did two more the same way.
Brought them into the house, and I cut them up like I would a chicken. Meanwhile, Murph prepared the pelts and cleaned up the greenhouse. Guts and stuff are going into the garbage because the ground is too frozen to dig a hole into, and we don't want to attract predators that could kill the chickens.
Anyway, it went quite well, for our first time, I'd say. New Years Eve dinner will be rabbit.
\Camaradas da la buena manana,
ok its the last day of o8 and we are all still here
holy crap and to think freeacre that this little village sits in the bottom of the,,,, i think the biggest extinct volcano in the known galaxy, somehow this is not a reassuring thought, my bug-out kit is packed and stands at the door along with as much winter survival gear as rationality will stand, thin line between to much and to little, know what i mean?
you know the idea of standing on the exact piece of mama earth that might end up shooting skyward,,, whoaaaa, what a fucking ride that would be, the landing might be something to prepare for,, like a thingie with asbestos wings for starters and a big jug of cool water.
ok, so dave, have ya ever lived on a commune? i have had several experiences with this type of living back in the late sixties and seventies and even early eighties and when it was good it was really good and when it was not so good it was still pretty nice, the people ( hippies or straights that just wanted see what it was all about) were really what makes these places and its the one or two (almost without fail) hitler oneabees that wanted to display their ignorance, cleverly disguised as ignorance, and tell everyone what and how to do shit. this part was the part where me and the party parted. damn that was good huh?
i mean in its finest days what with the exuberance of us young spirits just saying to the establishment ( kiss our collective asses) and having the time of our lives,...man it was wonderful, people could work together and create the most amazing constructs, but the lack of for the most part of the experience was simply the lay back part where time meant nothing and schedules were a thing abhorred by even the most anal of us, but as time rolled on folks stopped having six or eight of mixed and matched to a bed and the whole thing just sorta faded away, some of us fell right back into the corporate bullshit, some did little cottage industries things, and some od'd and died others got famous, there was marriage, children happened, land was foreclosed on and all kinds of things made for the ending of most of the communes i guess, people got older, and the the cosmic energy that got the whole thing started was just that, a kick start for tens of thousands of young and older folks and when that energy moved on the movement moved on with it, it ended like a silent fog rolling out to sea i guess,.... well not all of us quit the dream and i feel that even the most easily establishment prone backsliders kept something of the magic of freedom gone nuts through the power of LSD, SHRUMS,PEYOTE and all the other little mind altering substances that were in magnificent abundance. man if you ain't had sex ripped on LSD you just ain't lived yet i can tell ya that!!!,when both of ya are simply colors mingling together in a kaleidoscope of intertwined everything, where the sexual apparatus was unknown as to what belonged to who, sweet huh? as the organs became one single organ!! Whoa...
Why anyone would want to leave this behind is beyond this one.
o yeah, communal living, maturity in age would probably have saved some of those situations that would arise invariably when people are in close relationships and the pot would run low as it did from time to time.
ok, thats enough blither for the last day of the year, what do you say we try to hug as much as possible anyone that takes a bath at least wonce a week, hehe

SATS
From Belgium,
A song for 2009,
DAY
Day is the veil that you can't pull aside like a curtain
Sewn from a black cloth - a cloth that no-one can see.
No-one can take it away and you know this for certain.
No-one can help you, you might as well let the cloth be.
You no longer are able to see, you no longer have foresight.
And you can't part the curtain, there's no way to know what's in store.
You're stranded in time, a ghost that is lost in the twilight.
And the curtain is woven from the memories of time gone before.
Day is blank paper, but paper you never can write on,
Unlike the letters I hold that you sent to me.
But the words that you've written are buried speaking to no-one,
And words that have lost all their soul should never be.
You knew from the first touch this way was a pathway to danger.
You didn't take time to close all the doors and the gate.
Feelings can bring you so near and then leave you a stranger,
And things are not what they appear but find you too late.
Day is the thief that you don't have the courage to track down,
Who forces himself into all of the rooms of your home.
He comes to your garden, your secrets - he's quiet! Makes no sound.
He steals all the answers and leaves all the questions alone.
And you know there'll be days, just like the ones that you once knew.
And you know that love is really a question of thirst.
And you know that one day there will by a new power within you.
But you dread all the days in between that will seek you out first.
Kari Bremnes
freeacre,
Don't you mean "codex" instead of "comex." I don't blame you for the confusion, as both are repugnant. But in essence I think you've got it right: they want to monopolize food production in the hands of private corporations. It follows that it will someday become illegal to grow your own food! Notice, too, how they're putting small farmers out of business, first with this expensive animal registration system, and now they're discussing a flatulence tax on cows.
By the way, what are your thoughts on this proposed mileage tax in Oregon? They proposed the same thing in California a few years ago and I thought it was asinine then. Basically, such a tax would encourage fuel inefficient vehicles! There is less incentive to drive a fuel efficient vehicle if you're taxed the same as for a large vehicle. From what I read, the Oregon proposal spells out the fuel economy threshold desired: 20 MPG. I get that figure by dividing the proposed 24 cents per gallon gasoline tax "refund" by the 1.2 cents per mile proposed for the new mileage tax. In other words, if you want your "refund" to exceed the additional mileage tax, then you must drive a car that gets less than 20 MPG! What are they smoking up there in Oregon? The state's justification for this proposal is that since people are switching to fuel efficient vehicles, gasoline tax revenues are falling. That's the very same justification California used when it proposed the same tax. Hello?! How about reducing government expenditures accordingly instead of punishing people for consuming less? I think these government people are inhaling too many gasoline fumes.
Finally, if I ever have to be soylent greened, I want you to do it! You make it sound like a pleasant day at the spa. However, I don't think I could do what you did. I love those furry critters too much. Maybe if I were starving I might be able to do it.
Happy New Year to all!

wanna bet on 2009? and the rest of your life? then double down on mf's advice and CLEANSE. its the best damn preventive care practice we can do and a hellofa lot cheaper than health insc. IF you use effective products and IF you stick to a tried and true protocol. but talk about intimidating form... damn, it can be a challenge what with all the hoopla out there and gazillions of products and protocols. i use the herb doc's goodies....
https://web2.herbdoc.com/
index.php?&c=1
for several reasons....
first, they work!! this is powerful, high strength stuff!
second... aside from the fact that the feds shut down his clinic i've never found a quack watch on the guy. but you will find warnings about doing TOO much of his formulas. mostly because his stuff is sooooo powerful. his response and philosophy?... rubbish!! i've never killed anyone pumping too many herbs into them. plus, there's alot of myth and mis-info out there. do due dilligence on this guy and his methods and goodies and you'll get info you can take to the bank.
third... if you wanna do the research and then brew your own goodies he gives the recepies for all his formulas and even sources for where to buy the best organic and wild harvested ingredients. and where to buy a gas mask. yup, they're that powerful if you brew 'em right!! and you need to brew em right for them to be effective. the operative word is "potent"! everything needed to make the cleanse formulas and more... http://healingtools.tripod.com/
thn8.html#ech+
fourth... he's been around for years and credited with having "invented" super food for which you can find a gazillion knock-offs now. if you do nothing else do some version of this every day. you can buy the goodies on-line and make your own (see link above). me, i use doc's. cost? a buck a day.
fifth... he has a protocol for incurables thats worked for the dieing and near dead when nothing else has. "there are no incurable diseases". reviews... http://www.amazon.com/review/
product/0967156734
you can read the book in 30 minutes! i challenge anybody to show me a more extreem plan besides the tools and chemicals used by conventional medicine and dox. when they're all done carving you up and poisoning you and given you up as hopeless this is the plan to use if you have the guts and any energy left to do it. as far as i know there's only one edition so a used one is as good as new. this is the book i use as a guideline for my own regular 30 day cleanse protocol. new its 12 bucks on his website. the best damn 12 bucks you can spend when it comes to preventive medicine measures that work or a protocol to deal with incurable diseases.
his philosophy is simple... "if you want to get well you have to stop doing what made you sick. and in most cases its processed food and/or side effects from meds. but his protocols are anything but simple. by that i mean in the doing of them... thus a disclaimer.... i ditto what one of the book reviewers said... "WARNING: If you don't believe in self discipline or personal Accountability, then his material is NOT for you." IN SPADES!!! having said that, the only thing i'm anal about is my cleanse protocol. that and hydro-therapy. his preventive protocol is an everyday way of life thing... absolutely NO dairy and NO animal or any sort any time. the guy's a madman about it. one size don't fit all... just ask the weston price folx about that. a bonus i got from doing the cleanses though was i found i like to juice. and as it turns out its the only way i can get several veggies in me i just can't take cooked. so now i juice on a regular basis. but i still luv my dairy and meats too.
more info you won't go wroing on... http://healingtools.tripod.com/

anyone wants to know more about it let me know. wonce a cleanser always a cleanser. happy new year everyone... p
caveat to the above closing stmt... wonce a SUCCESSFUL cleanser, always a cleanser. i know far too many people who got themselves involved in bad protocols and they end up throwing the baby out with the bathwater... p
Dave,
Yes, yes, CODEX, not COMEX. Sorry.
And, regarding "... if I ever have to be soylent greened, I want you to do it!"
Believe me, if something doesn't get me first, I will be doing something similar for myself. Hospice is a good step in the right direction, but still most people in this culture experience a long, drawn out hideous dying experience that is beneficial only to Big Medical and Big Pharma, simply because we just can't seem to come to acceptance regarding death. We distance ourselves from it so much that the process for both our commercial food animals and our relatives die grotesque deaths. Ever watch "the Meatrix"? Google it.
I gotta tell ya, p. I think cleansing scares me more than death.
Hell Freeacre, the cleanse ain't that bad,it does make for some days when the energy is low because of the toxins entering the blood stream to be eliminated are let loose to fast but in those days ya just know that when its over you will start feeling better then you can ever remember, i mean its hard to describe, but light comes to mind, right p? would that be a define? i think so,and clarity of mine also as the brain cells begin to unclog, also the joints, and all the places where toxins are stored to keep them from overwhelming the various organs to the point of non-function.
However it is a lonely job if you are the only one doing it, i happen to have as an accomplice an ardent health freak and has been one for years, she nags me every which way when i backslide, but without her it would take longer to accomplish the goal of cleaning all the death toxins out of my body.
Death does not scare me , i have had enough of the sacred herb to know what a shuck that is,even though it is still a sad emotion when someone you love returns to the land of before their birth, and the knowledge that this place is one of learning about ???????? well whatever it is that is needed by the individual i suppose/
i happen to love our mother and all the things on it, and much of our learning is to undo the crap that was instilled in our young minds by the sick assed christians (and any other mind fuck organized religion )and the disease they walk around with that is located between their ears, man nothing is to good for the likes of those cocksuckers, not talking about them as spirits children, its the self-serving bullshit that is forced on everyone within earshot that seems as if it had any real value that need would vanish in good deeds instead of what it is that they do/
i missed the annual bible burning with the kids this year, they grow up quick around here, but when they leave its with the knowledge that they will not feel any guilt or remorse from having been mind-fucked by the disease called Christianity .
LONG LIVE FREEDOM FROM THE TERRIFIER, THE MIND CONTROLLER, THE BITCH, JESUS AND HIS WHOLE DAMN CREW. if there are any christians among the good folks that drop by it is nothing personal of which i speak really, but if you could see yourselfs from a point where truth is the point you would toss the good book where it belongs. on the shit pile of other humanity killing ideas,
other then my usual dribble babble have a nice day guys see you in 09.
peace to all
