Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas

freeacre

OK, a new post....

Thanks, again, to Spirit Across the Sea, AKA Belgium, for his guest post on the Guidestones, and all the conversations that were inspired.

Now, the Christmas and Hanukkah season is upon us. The season for “Peace on Earth and goodwill to men.” Well, not exactly, is it? Earlier this week I found myself wrapping Christmas presents with music in the background. But, instead of Christmas carols, I was listening to the sound track of “Pulp Fiction.” oh, dear. It is just like that this year.

What amazes me during this most “Holy” of Christian holidays is how silent the churches are on the revelations of torture and abuse by the CIA of military prisoners. Anybody hearing of any uproars regarding the shoving pureed lunch up a Muslim prisoner's rectum, raping children in front of parents, crushing testicles, freezing to death, beatings, “stress positions,” medical experimentation, “ etc. by the Baptists, Lutherans, Presbyterians, or any of the truck stop variety “non-denominational” organized churches proliferating everywhere?

No, I didn't think so. The Christ Consciousness teachings of forgiveness, peace, love, and compassion are kicked to the curb in favor of focusing on the book of Revelations and its predictions of the Apocalypse. Although I do go to his site regularly to pick up interesting stories about giants and pre-history and fringe stuff, I do think Steve Quale is a prime example of an End Times Bible-thumper who ignores the teachings of Jesus while devoting himself to whomever the nut-case was who wrote the Book of Revelations. Check this out: http://beforeitsnews.com/blogging-citizen-journalism/2014/12/new-steve-quayle-end-time-event-is-upon-us-quayle-evensen-on-hagmann-and-hagmann-2460846.html

Of course, this isn't the first time that our supposedly moral society has ignored our hypocrisy of pretending to be a Christian nation and a believer in Freedom and Democracy, while engaging in bogus wars for global dominance and natural resources. Revisit the Panama invasion in the late 80's.

Now we seem to be gearing up for war again - this time with Russia.

Are you kidding me? Is this not the most insane thing yet? We can't even win a war against people wearing flip-flops and driving Ford Rangers, and we are going to go up against RUSSIA???

Oh, WAIT. No, even more ridiculous is this situation with North Korea. We wonder why Kim Jong Un is pissed that SONY made a COMEDY about killing him. What if Korea has made a comedy about assassinating one of the Western heads of state? Would that be considered an act of free expression or an act of terrorism? And, then there is the outrage over him hacking into SONY and leaking massive confidential files. Of course, the NSA is capable of doing this on a much more massive scale, but, hey, it's different when we do it. Who knows who we are blackmailing or coercing into going along with whatever the lie of the day is? All I know is that this super-surveillance capability that the NSA has now has not put a dent in the pedophile rings, drug trafficking, or banking malfeasance. So, what are they doing?

The world does not seem to be a safer place. Personally, I feel violated if I can be viewed or listened to by my refrigerator, phone, or television set. What will it do to our children who will grow up with no sense of privacy? The Borg comes to mind.

Meanwhile, another long anticipated financial collapse seems to be structured into our future with the passing of the budget bill in Congress.

Happily for the Too Big to Fail banks, we the taxpayers will be liable for their criminal financial contrivances once again.

All this political pandemonium has a backdrop of geo-physical activity that has the potential to dwarf our other problems. Just take a look at the long list of volcanic and earthquake activity, radiation from Fukushima, methane releases, giant sink holes all over the world, animal die-off, and severe snow and rainfalls. http://www.thecelestialconvergence.com/ It looks as if the Earth is fighting back. Can't blame Her.

Stress is taking its toll on people. Amazingly, people actually got off their collective butts and went to the streets to protest police brutality. Now, though, two cops were apparently gunned down as a “retaliation” against police bullying tactics. I imagine that the PTB would rather have us fighting amongst ourselves rather than focusing on their injustice. So, we'll see where this goes. More and more people seem to be flipping out and killing their families as well as the homeless and assorted innocent strangers.

On a happier note, I look to the heavens. Is Planet X responsible for the dramatic Earth changes and also the ones on-going on Saturn, Uranus, and Jupiter? http://beforeitsnews.com/beyond-science/2014/12/leaked-giant-body-behind-saturn-entering-solar-system-cover-up-2448250.html

It is probably what it would take to dislodge the plans for the global New World Order that seems to be in store for us. There's no telling, however, just how many of us would be around to enjoy the level playing field that would once again be established after the financial and political entities are destroyed. Maybe there are some beautiful things in our future. Personally, I take an odd comfort in the glimpses of things like this, a UFO sited in Austria.

I think it is beautiful.

Despite everything, I hope this holiday is a good one for you. Good food, good friends, loving families, and some hope for the world.

Prophecies and the Temple of Doom Prophecies

                                         Comfort food,  time for pie

from SATS, aka Belgium

(apologies to SATS for posting his interesting report so late on the Georgia Guidstones.)

Prophecies and the Temple of Doom

Prophecies

I am not going to talk about the musings of some new years eve TV astrologer discussing the implications of planet alignments, astrological houses and all the things we don't really understand but like to pretend we do and are used to hearing at such times. What I am more interested in are those who have have given themselves the task of making our future, their reality and the signs that they are giving us. Do not be alarmed, I can assure you that this is the only time the words 'black helicopter' will appear in this article although there is a section on numerology. Whilst some of the clues they have given us are out front, others are extremely convoluted and may just as easily be misdirection, especially the numerology. A subject I want to address here is the Georgia Guidestones, what they are; what they say and where they came from. The reason I am addressing this subject now is because within the last month there have been two separate incidents concerning these Guidestones. Firstly a new addition was made to them and when this had come to public attention it was removed and destroyed. I will discuss what might or might not be behind it.

The Guidestones are shrouded in mystery and the derived curiosity is part of their attraction. They may not even be prophecies or even predictions, they may be exactly what they say they are, guides for the rebuilding of society for survivors of some post apocalyptic event. At first, I thought they were some NWO artefact for ramping up fear amongst the informed. Then I thought they were commissioned by some wealthy esoteric but benign organisation. The new addition which was later removed has its roots in numerology which switches us back to the NWO unless the monument was hijacked from its original designers. First let us have a look at what they are.

This description of the Guidestones and their inscriptions comes from Wiki.

The Georgia Guidestones is a granite monument in Elbert County, Georgia, in the United States. A message clearly conveying a set of ten guidelines is inscribed on the structure in eight modern languages, and a shorter message is inscribed at the top of the structure in four ancient language scripts: Babylonian, Classical Greek, Sanskrit, and Egyptian hieroglyphs.
The structure is sometimes referred to as an "American Stonehenge".[1] The monument is 19 feet 3 inches (5.87 m) tall, made from six granite slabs weighing 237,746 pounds (107,840 kg) in all.[2] One slab stands in the centre, with four arranged around it. A capstone lies on top of the five slabs, which are astronomically aligned. An additional stone tablet, which is set in the ground a short distance to the west of the structure, provides some notes on the history and purpose of the Guidestones. There are also some geographical alignments and astronomical features built into some of the stones.

Inscriptions

A message consisting of a set of ten guidelines or principles is engraved on the Georgia Guidestones in eight different languages, one language on each face of the four large upright stones. Moving clockwise around the structure from due north, these languages are: English, Spanish, Swahili, Hindi, Hebrew, Arabic, Chinese, and Russian.
  1. Maintain humanity under 500,000,000 in perpetual balance with nature.
  2. Guide reproduction wisely — improving fitness and diversity.
  3. Unite humanity with a living new language.
  4. Rule passion — faith — tradition — and all things with tempered reason.
  5. Protect people and nations with fair laws and just courts.
  6. Let all nations rule internally resolving external disputes in a world court.
  7. Avoid petty laws and useless officials.
  8. Balance personal rights with social duties.
  9. Prize truth — beauty — love — seeking harmony with the infinite.
  10. Be not a cancer on the earth — Leave room for nature — Leave room for nature.

Is there anything we can glean about the authors from the inscriptions. Even though the stones were defaced with graffiti some years ago with slogans such as “Death to the New World Order” and similar themes, I don't think it was them who sponsored it.
No.1 is the attention grabber and is probably the source of the half a billion world wide inhabitants attributed to the NWO. If this was so it would mean that nearly 14 out of every 15 of us would have to go. If on the other hand it is advice for the survivors of some post apocalyptic event then probably what they are saying is don't get yourselves into the same runaway mess that we are in today.
No2 smacks of eugenics which points to the banking dynasties and an overseeing authority but also has connections to Nazism and the super race.
No 3 has the Christians up in arms since the Book of Revelations warns against the Devils plan for a one world language so it sure isn't them. This one world language seems at odds with the diversity mentioned in No2 and the multi polar world view of No6
No's 5,6 and possibly 7 indicate the authors have a multi polar world view which is an anathema to the NWO unless it is them and they are lying.
No8 I don't have any problem with unless 'Social Duties' involves conscription or some such.
No10 The world's present elite are letting thousands of animal species die every week and promoting their GMO's and so called Frankenseeds, so if it was them then why put such emphasis on nature?
No's 4, 9 and again No10 suggest some naturephilic group. Ones that would fit the bill would be some sort of hippy, New Age group, possibly the Deep Ecologists. In general these tend to be rather rag-tag loose groupings of variations on a theme, not an organisation that could afford a monument such as the guidestones. Anyway, they would spend their money on planting trees or saving the whales, not on erecting grand monuments. This leaves us with established nature worshipping groups such as the Pagans the Druids and maybe Gnostics but not confined to these. One researcher has suggested the Rosicrucian's and these would be an ideal fit. They are not a religion in the sense that Paganism is not a religion. They believe in Mysticism, Metaphysics and claim knowledge of the forgotten truths of nature most of our ancestors knew but are now largely forgotten. They use the word 'reason' (No4 and The Sponsors) often in describing their beliefs. Except, they have been rejected by the one living man who knows the truth but is respecting his vow of secrecy. His story can be found in this article:
http://archive.wired.com/science/discoveries/magazine/17-05/ff_guidestones?currentPage=all
There is an small incident in this story where when 'Mr Christian', the designers liaison man, makes initial contact with the owner of the granite company and tells him of his plans. The owner regards him as a 'cook'. To discourage him he asks for a substantial deposit of $10,000 as a show of good faith. Christian asks if there is a trustworthy bank in the neighbourhood and then goes off to find the branch manager. If Christian was from a banking dynasty, he would not do this.
'The Sponsors' also mentions 'A small group of Americans. The WASPs (White Anglo-Saxon Protestants) certainly would have no problem funding a monument such as this. So maybe it is them and not the NWO as such although there is a degree of overlap. I am considering possibilities here without coming to any firm conclusions.
Sometime early in September 2014 a corner was cut out of the English language slab and a cube inserted into this space. Two numbers were visible on this cube, they were 20 and 14. When the cube was removed, all faces were found to have either numbers or symbols representing numbers on them. Many people believed a date for some future catastrophic event could be deciphered from these numbers. The story is continued here in this article from Before its News. The author took the very unusual numerological step of subtracting the numbers on the bottom face of the cube and came up with a date of 3 October 2014. Well that one clearly didn't work. A video referenced at the end of the article uses exactly the same derivation but instead uses the more customary step of adding all the numbers together and comes up with a date of 24 October 2014. Incidentally, both dates happen to be Fridays.

Georgia Guide Stones – Cube deciphered
With little ceremony the stone, that was only recently inserted in the top corner of the slab  with the English text on the Georgia Guide Stones, was removed again. Supposedly ‘unauthorized’, thrown down and cut to pieces. I believe however that there is a purpose to all of this as well as to the seemingly amateuristic video that showed the whole thing. Whoever filmed it made sure that we could see every side. One of the first things that catches the attention is the fact that there are other inscriptions apart from the 20 and 14 that were initially visible.
We also find the numbers 8 and 16 as well as the letter combinations MM and JAM. Before we could only read the year 2014, now if decoded, we can find an exact date.

The cube was tossed down like a dice and this brought me to the idea of understanding the code. A characteristic of a dice is that the dots on opposite sides always add up to seven; 5 + 2, 3 + 4 and 6 +1.

Likewise it is the opposite sides that match up in the ‘2014-Cube’:

If we assume that the MM side is the top and we view it from that side we can display the four adjacent sides around it. This is the diagram we use:
Now we simply add the numbers in the opposite sides:
8 + 20 = 28
14 + 16 = 30
As is customary in numerology, we keep adding the digits until a single digit number is left (except for 10 which is a
pure number and stays as it is):
8 + 20 = 28 → 2 + 8 = 10
14 + 16 = 30 → 3 +0 = 3
We now derive the numbers 10 and 3. Likewise we add the top and bottom. Here letters are used and we need to translate them to numbers.
This is easy, letters are numbered according to the alphabet (A=1, B=2, etc.) Thus:
MM = 13 + 13 = 1 + 3 + 1 + 3 = 8
JAM = 10 + 1 + 13 = 1 + 0 + 1 + 1 + 3 = 6
8 + 6 = 14

The tree numbers we get are 10, 3  and 14. I believe a date, being October 3, 2014 ! (March 10 is ruled out because the stone was placed after that date.)
I am not going to speculate what could happen on that date, but it is likely that it has everything to do with the (start of the) ’New World Order plan’ as laid out on the Guide Stones. This is driven by dark forces and one of the things they need to do for their events to become rituals is ‘reveal’ them in advance (lesser magic). All this might very well be part of this lesser magic. The occult uses numerology often and this goes into extremes. Here we see that there is much more to the coding than that which is shown above:

In the following diagram I have added the numbers in the neighbouring sides and written the result in the squares on the respective corners. Again I’ve added the single digits and written those results in the circles. For example the 34 on the top right corner is the sum of 14 and 20. The digits 3 and 4 add up to 7:
Now we add the opposites again, but in this case diagonally (the numbers in the circles). So the 6 and 7 add up to 13. The 4 and 9 also add up to 13. The two times 13 are represented by the M and M thus showing a perfect relation between all the numbers. You might explain this away as coincidence, but I’ll show you that the very same applies to the bottom side.
Since this is the reverse side, we have to use a reverse method so we will subtract instead of add. And we don’t add single digits but we split up.
34 – 24 = 10 → J
36 – 22 = 14 → 1 + 13 →
A + M
The total of all the numbers and letters is 108 which can be translated in either 18 or 9. Whichever you choose, in occult numerology both are the replacement for 666 (6 + 6 + 6 = 18, 1 + 8 = 9). This brings us to the deeper spiritual battle that is going on and of which this is part.
I believe the removal of the stone was very well planned as well as the filming of it. It seems almost ridiculous the way it was removed, thrown down and then cut to pieces and divided among the bystanders. The latter by the way seemed to be completely uninterested in the meaning and origin of the cube. Unrealistic. The ignorant ‘sheeple’ the controlling ‘elite’ so much desires. Just a side note: the man who removed the stone asks “who wants a chip?”, this could be interpreted otherwise and may be a hint to the implantable chip which the people will probably wish for just as eagerly.
The man acts as a literally mason with his hammer, but most likely shows symbolically who is behind all this. Let’s also not forget that the cube has the inscription MM (Master Mason). He is also kneeling on his left knee. An unnatural position for someone who is right-handed and has the stone he is chiselling in front of his foot. However it is the exact position an entered apprentice has when taking the Masonic oath. The right leg forming the square and the left hand supporting the Bible (in this case represented by the stone).
The stone was never meant to be there for a long time, just long enough to get our attention. No glue or cement had been applied, of which the man who removed the stone apparently was very well aware. He went up the ladder without tools and without hesitation lifted the stone out right away. He stated that it was unauthorized. He also mentions in the video that, quote: “we have the original piece”. Showing that he was very well aware (or present at) the removal of this original piece (and possible placing of the ‘unauthorized cornerstone’).
Seems to me a very well orchestrated symbolic repetition of the rejection of the corner stone:
The stone that the builders rejected has become the cornerstone,” (Ps 118:22 / 1 Peter 2:7). Even in some Bible translations this cornerstone has been replaced. The New International Version (NIV) renders the above verse as follows: “The stone the builders rejected has become the capstone” (emphasis added). Hasn’t this been the plan all along of the secret societies, inspired by Satan himself. To dethrone Jesus Christ, the cornerstone, and replace him with the Antichrist, the capstone.
Heads up for the 3rd of October and above all, let’s keep our eyes and hearts on the true Stone. After all He will have the last word:
Thou sawest till that a stone was cut out without hands, which smote the image upon his feet that were of iron and clay, and brake them to pieces.
… and the stone that smote the image became a great mountain, and filled the whole earth.
(Daniel 2:34, 35b)

End of article

I wanted to put this article up since it uses the same logic as the video and those interested can follow it in written form however it comes up with the later date of 24 Oct 2014. Maybe some event of world significance will happen on this date. Having taken you through all of this my own personal feeling is that whoever is behind the placing and removal of the cube are not the same people that commissioned the monument. After the monument was erected, the sponsors transferred ownership of it to Elbert County Authority with their local trusted and sworn to secrecy banker acting as escrow. How easy would it be for some other group to approach Elbert County Authority, claiming to be the original sponsors and asking for a modification to be incorporated in it? The one possible exception to this could be the WASPs. Alternatively, it could be an elaborate hoax designed to ramp up fear amongst the informed in a similar way to the Lagarde magic number 7 speech.

The Temple of Doom

Thomas Maltus was not so popular as philosophers go, he was regarded as a bit of a snob. At least what he had to say was not directed for the benefit of the ordinary folk. Moreover it was delivered as a warning to the elite, of what would happen if the great unwashed were left to their own devices. Simply put, his message was that population would increase until the food supply ran out and then it would collapse. He spent a lifetime adding bells, whistles and embellishments to his theory but in a nutshell, that was it. As Thomas might have put it “We put all our emphasis on a persons breeding”. And one of the unwashed might have replied “Sometimes we devote a little of our time to other activities”.

The recently deceased Professor Emeritus, Albert Bartlett delivered much the same sort of message but because he did it in a non judgemental way he was immensely popular amongst his peers and those who saw his lectures. His most important subject was how people in general shy away from the exponential function because they believe it is too hard for them to understand but he had a simple and direct way to cut through all of that and explain it in a very simple way. The exponential function is a fancy way of describing the compound interest law. If you borrow $100 at 10% interest a year and don't pay it back immediately, after one year your debt will be $110 ($100 + 10%). After year 2 it will be $110 + 10% = $121 and so on. Many things in nature follow this pattern.

As well as bank interest, population grows in much the same sort of way. The more people there are, the more of them there will be to have babies. But so far as population is concerned, how much is enough. When should we stop. One example he liked to give was the bugs in a bottle scenario. On a particular midnight you put two bugs in a bottle and seal the cap on. There are two things you know about these particular bugs. They double their numbers every minute and after one complete day the bottle will be full. A question he liked to ask was when will the bugs realise there is a problem and they are being crowded out? Maybe when the bottle is a quarter full. What time of day will this be? The answer is two minutes before midnight. Even if they are feeling a bit pinched when it is only 1/32 full this is only five minutes before midnight. The message from this example is clear, if we do not have foresight, by the time we realise there is a problem it might be too late to do anything about it. Let us have a look at some things which affect population increase and some things which affect population decrease. Most examples are from Albert Bartlett with a couple of mine throw in. I am sure you can think of others yourself.

Ignorance of the problem

Everything we regard as good and wholesome makes the problem worse.
Everything we regard as bad and unacceptable makes the problem better.
Is that not a dilemma?

Here is a good question. In which column would you put education? Up to now it has been firmly in the left hand column but is it right that it continues to reside there?

A couple of things from the list require further explanation. The two countries with out of control population growth are India and China. In the early days of technology the Indian government offered a transistor radio to anyone who agreed to be sterilised. It was a nice try but I doubt if there many still buying into this one. China has now effectively abandoned its one child per female policy because of public resistance to it. Without an effective welfare policy it is still the duty of children to look after their ageing parents. Traditionally, this is the duty of the eldest sons. Daughters go with their husband to look after her in laws. This left parents of daughters without care in their later years. In order to safeguard themselves against this possibility, many mothers-to-be would terminate their pregnancy if they found out it was to be a daughter or even worse cull the infant after birth. The knock on effect of this was that some years later, there were whole townships of men who could not find a wife. This was not hugely popular as you can imagine even with the availability of 'comfort girls' and the policy, if it still officially exists is no longer being enforced.

Immigration might be regarded as a strange one to include since it does not affect world population as a whole. The fact is that the indigenous population of every European country is falling but is being kept buoyant by immigrants breeding more prolifically than local folks.

A lot of modern research has gone into extending human life but is right to continue this? Especially when we consider the inescapable facts below.

Currently, the world population is increasing by 80 million people per year.

If this increase in population continues at the present rate, every living person will occupy one square metre of the dry land surface of the Earth in just 780 years.

The total mass of the people will equal the total mass of the Earth in 2400 years.

You might find this as amusing as I did, clearly it is nonsense but there is as serious underlying message. Zero population growth will happen whether we like it or not. Nature is going to see to it and decide things for us. However, not all is lost. We still have one last trump card to play, we can choose something from the right hand column for ourselves. So now it is over to you, which one are you going to pick? Are the folks that are spreading disease and picking wars with other countries really doing us a backhanded favour?

There is one thing not accounted for in the above and it is that oil will run out before this happens. The big cities will die and rural life will will become commonplace again, for example to the extent it did in Cuba. But what will we do with all the people? Is it a case of mother knows best and those who have, for example, Ebola under their control, really have everybody's best interests at heart. Well, population growth, at the level it is today is an oil generated disease but those holding the 'cure' have been manipulating events behind the scenes for thousands of years, long before the age of oil was thought about, so clearly they have a different motive driving them.

I am reminded of a scene from the film Educating Rita where Michael Caine (The literature Professor) was explaining to the class the difference between a tragedy and something that is merely tragic. He says something like, “Thousands of Greeks die in a war, that is a tragedy. Tree falls on man, that is just tragic.” July Walters (Rita) pipes up “It is a bloody tragedy for the poor bugger underneath the tree”. And so it is in all of this that even useless eaters don't want to be so tragically disadvantaged. There is however, nothing inherently wrong in longevity so long as the population can be stabilised and a balance is maintained whereby there are enough young to provide for the old without incurring debt.

I don't know where the answer lies, I wish I did. Is providing infrastructure to the NWO a variation of the “Better red than dead” scenario or can we come to our senses whilst there is still a little window of time left? Is there a bright ray of hope in the future because all I can see are rainy days ahead? I am going to be interested in where the comments section goes with this one.

Conclusion

The Bartlett article has a lot more certainty about it than Guidestones piece. It is always possible that those who commissioned the Guidestones were aware of Bartlett's arguments by an independent route or their concern was of a more astronomical nature such as long term massive CME cycling activity from the sun. Whatever their original intent, it is my belief that a different actor was responsible for the theatricals with the cube. An event of world significance could happen on Oct 24 but it is also likely to be a move to unsettle the informed. If so, such manoeuvres could come to be regarded in the same way as false flag events.

One thing is clear, the human race cannot go on increasing itself indefinitely. Something in the future will happen to curtail this and whether it is a natural, manufactured or planned event is up for speculation.

                                                  NOW WHAT?

freeacre & Murph

Ebola. Probably the most fearsome disease ever has arrived in the U.S. That wouldn't be so bad, considering the “advanced” stage of our medical system and it's ability to deal with contagions – except that just about every proceedure from the CDC regarding contagion has been blown along the way. First, Duncan was allowed on the plane, having lied about being in contact with a women dying of Ebola while transporting her to a hospital in his cab. So, then he flies to Dallas, stopping at three cities along the way. We are assured that this did not endanger anyone, since he was still asymptomatic. Once in Dallas and at the apartment complex his family lives in, he goes another four or five days before feeling ill and going to the hospital. So, despite telling a nurse that he has been in Liberia the week before, he is told to go home. Then, he basically exposes his whole family and their friends and all their contacts to the strengthening Ebola virus before he once again returns to the hospital. By this time he is throwing up “wildly.” The vomit sits outside the apartment complex for days before it is washed away by some guy who wears no protective clothing with a power hose that projects the germs into the air – and the video shows a woman walking past it at the same time. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lg3mFdVYDu4.
Are any of these people being monitored or quarantined? I think not. The stupid exposed family gets tired of staying home and sends one of the children to school once again. Can you believe this???

Now, the CDC “orders” them to stay quarantined, not just “instructing” them. Is this lame or what? Then, they learn that the contaminated bedsheets and towels are still in the apartment. And, the outfit that is supposed to clean the apartment is delayed because they don't have a proper “permit” to clean. OMG!!! And, the CDC says it doesn't have the money to deal with all this. Oh, but we have billions to spend on “homeland security.” Except when it comes to an actual threat, they can't respond. Reminds me of FEMA taking five days to get water to the Super Dome. Check this one out: http://news.yahoo.com/u-nurses-unprepared-handle-ebola-patients-140327416.html

Then, there is the unsecured Southern border with Mexico and all the illegal aliens streaming in.... all these children. And, now, a pandemic called enterovirus 68 that has infected hundreds of children all over the country – now accompanied by paralysis like polio. Anybody see a connection there? Nobody in Washington DC, apparently. They can't seem to find their ass with both hands.

The government no longer seems to work for the citizenry. The regulators don't regulate and protect us from the Banks, the Pharmaceutical companies, the food industry, the war-mongers, the police, or much of anything. Christ! Even the Secret Service can't seem to protect President Obama! The mainstream press is controlled by six corporations, who regularly suppress the news. The only reason we know anything about all this is due to the alternative news on the Internet. But, that wil be curtailed next.

What do we do? The following is the beginning of a new post that the Murphinator was beginning to write before this Ebola thing jumped off. I think it is pertinent...

“THE POLITICS OF CHANGE
Murph

I’ve done some head scratching over some questions that are important to me. Namely, how does a society change how that society is organized and operates? There seems to be two distinct camps on this; those that advocate change by using the system and those that advocate change outside of the system. The outside the system folks want to do this by force of course.

Lets examine how our current system is set up. Currently, from the absolute top of the power structure down through the levels of power to the folks that have little to gain from the current system, there are layers upon layers of bureaucracy that make the rules that have the force of law. I’ve lost count of how many pages of law this constitutes. This points back to the upper layers of the power that form these bureaucracies. Obviously, those manning the bureaucracies have much to gain by stopping reforms the will change the essential structure. They might have to go out and get a real job that produces something other than piles of paperwork and misery for those they affect. Those folks at the top of the power structure gain immense financial benefit from this. These folks reward the folks manning the bureaucracies rather handsomely for maintaining the status quo and penalize those folks that accurately report on their gains and subterfuge (the whistle blowers) and also the folks that are not happy with this system. The bureaucracies also make it difficult to impossible to live outside of the system. All of this is reinforced by having a significant amount of the working age population working in the bureaucracies, their livelihood is dependent on that job because most of them are completely unfit to do anything else to make a living. The bureaucracy also manipulate the educational system to make it appear that this is completely normal to the students and is to their benefit to participate.

Whew! Just had to make that rant.

All in all, this system is well insulated, by law, from making reforms that are significant and to the benefit of the general population. Supposedly, our constitution was set up to facilitate needed reforms that would benefit the general population. I have written before on how that concept has been a major failure. Those folks that claim to be absolute Constitutionalists need to make a detailed study about how that document was formed and by whom. But, in addition, (as G.W. Bush expressed) it is just a damned piece of paper that can be worked around with a big enough legal staff. Direct violations of its concepts and direct passing of more laws can negate statements concerning limiting of power. Even when these laws are challenged, the final decision on such issues is by the supreme court of the states and the federal Supreme Court. These decisions can be and are very often politically motivated by the top tiers of power.

As Carl Denniger has stated over and over; how long are we going to put up with this?”

Now, back to me. I have something to add. Chris Hedges spoke to the Green Party, and I thought his criticism of them was brilliant. Here is the link to his speech: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C8H0ty327o0. Thanks to Rockpicker for turning me on to this. Basically, he says that the Green Party is a failure. It has not attracted participation on any large scale after all these years. Seminars and workshops and articles don't get it. They need to support those who do direct action. Make themselves useful. I figure that this concepts can be applied to every organization that wants to attract membership – whether it's the Green Party or the Tea Party, the Grange, or whatever.

Clearly, the CDC can't handle the Ebola situation by themselves. Maybe they keep fucking up because it is actually part of a plan to reduce the population. If so, we are truly doomed. But, if not, they need help. I would suggest volunteers to assist those who are quarantined – talk to them by telephone and purchase their groceries for them, for instance. Assist the overwhelmed CDC workers themselves. The point is to not just depend on the government for help. Organize yourself and your neighbors to prepare supplies of food, water, disinfectants, etc. in case we need to stay home for a few months while this thing passes in our area. Store enough to be able to share with those morons who have stored nothing.

I have to admit, this one's got me scared. I'm not so much worried about Murph and myself. We have lived longer than I ever figured to. But, it's thinking of the young ones that tears my heart out. It didn't have to be this way.

So as not to leave you with zero respite from this doom and gloom, let us share a picture of the new outdoor dwelling we have completed for the rabbits. We have “free range” rabbits now. So cute.

Garden Peace
Freeacre

I am so sick of all these contrived wars. Israel vs. Palestine, Ukraine vs Russia, Somalia, Iraq, Syria, Libya, Egypt, and on and on. Then, there are the so-called “wars.” The “war on poverty,” “the war on drugs,” “the war on terrorism.” All these wars have resulted in almost unimaginable suffering and death. All these will have blow-back consequences resulting in ever increasing suffering and death through time.

Closer to home are the cultural wars. Republicans and Democrats, liberals and conservatives, fundamentalists and atheists, gay and straight, black and white, male and female. Beyond network news and “Jeopardy,” the Murphinator and I don't watch much television. But, at least we see some of the previews of coming attractions. Cop shows, “reality” shows, competitions like “Dancing with the Stars,” “The Great Race,” “America's Got Talent,” “Survivor,” “American Ninja.” All the hyperbole of the judges and hosts, encouraging the worst and least in people as they struggle to be the last man standing. Christ, they've even got “cup cake wars.” Give me a break.

And, when they are not watching competitions on the tube, there are always the disgusting serial killing video games featuring blood and gut-spilling action against every sort of conceivable enemy. There is a new one in which the players actually rape people.

What ever happened to co-operation, community, friendship, harmony, helpfulness?

What happened to peace?

Missing in action. Except for the garden. I gotta admit that the garden is my refuge from the war mentality. Just gazing at these wonderful, peaceful, productive, nutritious vegetables feeds my soul and calms me down.

We have survived the the 4th Annual La Pine Chicken Coop and Garden Tour just fine. Happily, the cold conditions that stunted the growth of everything in the Spring has given way to a nice hot summer which has led to impressive new growth. I served homegrown kale chips and rhubarb cooler (like a rhubarb lemonade) for the guests to sample. The rabbit blankets were on display in the tipi.

So, I thought I'd share my little patch of peace with you as an antidote to the contentious, war-filled experience. Walking down the rows of cabbage and kale and Swiss Chard, potatoes, carrots, squashes, parsnips, peas, beets, beans, onions, garlic, etc. fills me with gratitude and wonder. It seems like magic that all this can spring from the Earth.

So, let me share this space with you.

Peace.

OBSERVING THE UP SIDE   from Murph

I’m writing this on Sunday, June 8.  This morning I read an article on Zerohedge that asserted that we spend too much time on the doom information rather than looking at the “fact” that economic data has some positive aspects.  http://www.zerohedge.com/contributed/2014-06-07/doom-gloom-sells

Now I will readily admit that I tend to look at the negative side much more than the positive side of the information I see on a daily basis.   I have noticed that I am seeing more articles and analysis’ claiming that things are getting better.  The central argument seems to revolve around government data on housing, employment, and GDP and a few other metrics.   These articles do not even broach the idea that maybe the data is manipulated to look positive and is in reality not positive at all.  It comes down to whether you put trust into government bureaucracy’s honesty in publicly reporting their findings.   I also recognize that in the popular press, doom sells, especially if there is blood involved.   I will also admit that not everything I look at is negative at all.   There are folks out there that are trying to make things better, even the popular press has some positive stuff that I believe actually is happening.

However, in the MSM, there is a huge amount of information that is left out that is distinctively negative.   Any of us that read or listen to other than MSM information can compose long lists of very negative stuff going on that is not reported in the MSM, or very minimally, and almost always of very short duration.   The very real question, is how much of the information, both positive and negative, is factual.

One of the advantages of getting old is having a lot of years to compare present and past events and consequences.   Even though I sometimes wish it weren’t true, situations do change, constantly.   We all have our perceptions on the past that we consider “better” than the changes we experience in the present.  I am not naïve enough to look at all changes as negative all of the time, even if I don’t like those changes.   As expressed in the previous post, I tend to look at the consequences inherent in those changes.   Examples; I do not like the consequences of poisoning the land with pollution and caustic chemicals despite whatever temporary advantages I experience from it being done.   In a longer time frame, it sure appears to me to be damaging and having catastrophic effects.   I can’t believe that there are no long lasting effects that are going to be catastrophic to humans and the biota of this planet in scattering depleted uranium over large areas of land.    Or, the indiscriminant use of herbicides and pesticides that ARE LONG LASTING, I emphasize long lasting, because despite the propaganda put out by the companies selling the stuff.  If any of you have read the information put out by Monsanto and Dow, to name only two of the biggies about putting these chemicals on the ground and into the food supply, you know what I mean.  The suppression of research and refusal to deal with long-term effects is astounding to me.   Oh hell, I forgot, the long term effects compared to short term profits means that long term loses almost every time.   Silly me.

On a positive outlook, most of the positive stuff, IMO, seems to be happening at local levels.   Our area does seem to be interested in home production of food.  IMO, this is a good thing.   We have been battling for 8 years now over ground and surface water contamination.  There are many conflicts of interests on this issue.   But one thing the community can agree on is that we do not want to contaminate the water.   The arguments center around how not to contaminate.   There are large amount of communities in the U.S. that are in the same bind.  In our case, the government bureaucracies have declared a problem that does not currently exist and on an emergency bases formed public policy that is, and has been for 8 years now, very detrimental to the community.   Property is not selling; jobs are near non existence and ALL because of these public policies.   All of this is coming from the Department of Environmental Quality (the DEQ state bureaucracy).  All of their public policy is based on very non scientific conclusions, a whole bunch of faulty assumptions and I suspect some greed thrown in and most definitely job protection, by their own admittance to me.   Despite there being really great folks in the area that we are very much friends with, if we had known about what was happening around this single issue, we would not have moved here.   The result of feeling pressured by circumstances to make a decision without sufficient time to find out about such issues.   We keep meeting more folks that were caught up in the same trap; lack of time, financial resources and reluctance to do due diligence before making a decision.

Freeacre and myself have noticed a distinct escalation of complexity in our daily lives.  Not that we embrace this complexity, but that it is imposed on us by governmental forces and the financialization of everything.   We spend an enormous amount of time dealing with paperwork and getting the needed information to do so.   It didn’t used to be that way.   This complexity of compliance is an escalating problem that is distracting people from very pressing problems that need to be solved.   Most of these issues have fairly simple solutions, but hell no, lets make it so complex that folks have neither the time or ability to sort it all out.   I talked to a state representative a week ago that seemed to feel that 8-10 years of working on a problem was not unreasonable and should be expected, despite the damage it does.

So yes, I find it difficult to see the up side on what is going on locally and the country as a whole.   In fact, it sure appears to me that our situation nationally and globally is deteriorating despite the happy talk that is showing up these days.

LIVING A LIFE OF CONSEQUENCES
from Murph

Recently, SATS referred back to a posting he had written back in the day of Cyclon's blog. This was back in 2007. My goodness, that was 7 years ago. To refresh memory a bit, Cyclone's blog (the Real Deal) began in 2005 and Troutclan campfire began in 2007, spun off from the Real Deal. I go back and skim over the what was being written and discussed from 2005 to 2007 and notice that the disappointment and belligerence over the Bush administrations actions were now transferred to the present Obama administration. For all practical purposes, same bitches and complaints. With all our rants and discussion, sure changed things didn't it? LOL. Sure points out our collective influence in the present situation, ie, none. However, venting in print serves a purpose and perhaps disseminates information to some folks that would otherwise not ever see it.

The same analysis can be said of other blog sites that are no longer active. Mike Rupperts and Survival Acres are two that come immediately to mind. For Freeacre and I, Rupperts writing was very influential for us. So far, Ruppers predictions and revelation have show themselves to be pretty much right on, although the timing of some of the predictions was a bit off. Freeacre and I took to heart what Ruppert wrote and took action on that information. I shudder to think what would have been the consequences to us if we had not done so. It has turned out, in retrospect, to be the best decisions we could have made. So blogs do serve a function, at least for some folks.

On a broader perspective, our personal lives are always a matter of consequences for our decisions moment to moment. The disturbing aspect for me is that so many people are loath to recognize that this is how things work. We all have had the experience of consequences (usually unanticipated) of our actions and decisions. For most of us, the consequences are most of the time, not a serious handicap, and a great deal of the time not recognized until after the fact. It's those instances of negative consequences on our lives that will stick out and encourage us to think in terms of; “if only I had made a different decision”. In a far more primitive living arrangement, that can be fatal. Only in our advanced social systems are negative consequences often ameliorated to non lethal events of inconsequential or recoverable events. It disturbs me that so many folks I observe do not recognize this relationship, having the expectation that their decisions will have no serious negative consequences. I think most of us strive to eliminate the negative consequences to our decisions. Some folks are more successful than others. I would surmise that reduction of individual consequences is one purpose of how societies organize themselves. We might want to take a look at who benefits the most from these policies.

The big social problems I see today is that those folks with power and influence have, in the last number of decades, managed to by-pass most of the consequences for their actions. This is done by controlling the political and economic processes that operate in our society. However, the consequences from the thievery and manipulation will have consequences that appear to me to be extremely serious. It is showing up in scarcity of resources and adulteration of the environment, the deterioration of infrastructure and general deterioration of living conditions for most of society. In every society with a hierarchy of control, keep in mind that it is the decision by the public on who to give this control to that determines outcomes. In this country, we have been voting into this power structure folks that do not have our well being in mind and have been doing this from the beginning. The primary concern is immediate benefit and  supposedly advocating some ideology that never serves our overall benefit. I think I have lost all hope of most folks recognizing the deficiencies of this decision making process.

I have written multiple times concerning the consequences of social decisions and urged a return to more individual responsibility for our actions. I'm an old duffer with a serious cynical attitude and realization that what I have advocated, spoken of and written about has not been taken seriously by more than a handful of folks. I find that true for all of the folks that have been warning us for years concerning the consequences of of our decisions. And, maybe all the warnings put out there are just more shit to deal with. But, we took seriously one particular warning and benefited by that.

With all of the serious problems that we are exposed to in this tired old world, we are continually distracted by the emergency of the day and the lie of the day. I suppose that has been true every since people have been organizing themselves into societies and civilizations. That realization does not make the present any more palatable to me and I also suppose that is true for most of the folks that bother to read missives such as this. I also realize that any suggestions I make as to what to do about our present situation cannot possibly be taken seriously by more than a few folks, just too much to lose. It is apparent that the wealthy and powerful flat out don't care, they have a whole other agenda in mind. In a practical sense, we are in a giant catch 22 situation. Damned if we do and damned if we don't.

The premier of the doomer sites has finally signed off stating that we are all doomed anyway and any more effort to warn folks of impending disaster for all of us is a waste of effort. That was Survival Acres by the way. Only time will tell if his assessment turns out to be right. Many other doomer sites with not so quite an extreme vision just keep on insisting that things are going to shit or worse. So for the most part, we take it all in and continual to try and operate, bitching and hollering all the while. We may very well be seeing the future with some reasonable accuracy, but it's the timing thing that throws us off. If it doesn't happen in the time frame laid out, does that mean it won't happen? I suspect that for most folks, it's a matter of expectations that we will just keep muddling through until it doesn't work anymore.

Wherever we are going to, we will keep on going till it stops.

Freeacre has been decorating ducks.  Exercising her artistic mood.

From Murph;

Yup, I know, it's been nearly 2 months since we have put up another post. For both Freeacre and myself, we have been caught up in more projects, meetings, and activities than we can easily handle. We had the holidays to get through also. Plus, every single day, there is new stuff to talk about and the next day something else takes its place to pay attention to. It sure enough feels as though events are accelerating and becoming more severe and having more consequences on our society, our nation, than we can keep up with. It is also happening at the local level in our area.

I have a box of around 20 books to read sitting on my desk concerning all kinds of events , conspiracies, and political chicanery. I don't know how many of our readers have waded through tombs of political analysis and conspiracies, but I find them nearly impossible to read. If you aren't conscientiously taking notes and categorizing the authors information they are next to impossible to get through with any comprehension of the details outlined by the author. Frankly, I have too many other activities that demand my attention to take notes and categorize information of this sort. I can only come away with a general impression and have read about it before over the years. From the conspiracy writers and the whistle blowers, books of this nature are flooding the “must read” alerts by bloggers and political analysts. Frankly, I find it overwhelming and I sure as hell don't have 10 hours a day free to try and keep up with it all. I have all kinds of notebooks and note pads with tidbits to pursue and I simply don't have the time (or I refuse to take the time) to pursue all but a small amount of the notes.

Even at our local level of government, the state and county folks in charge are doing the same thing. At the county level, they are now talking about passing an ordinance that has a fine of $2500 if your property has any of the state classification of “noxious weeds” on it. The claim from the state government web site is that the economic impact is beyond belief and is and is an emergency, has no public input and is draconian as hell. So now I guess we are going to have a “noxious weed” informant policy with economic rewards for turning in your neighbor, and have tax supported folks that drive through the county peering on your land in order to identify “noxious weeds” growing on your property.

I went to the web site that lists all the “noxious weeds” that are supposed to have been found in Oregon and neighboring states along with potential weeds (with potential of invading our state and county). The list is extensive, big time. Now I am not a botanist nor a plant taxonomist and frankly am lousy at identifying weeds. I'm doing pretty good to identify the plants in our garden. I wrote to one of the folks that is close to this kind of stuff and asked if the state or county was going to have public courses on the taxonomy and identification of “noxious weeds” so I could earn money driving around the neighborhood and turning in my neighbors. Haven't gotten a reply back.

We are also having a push to form a “sanitary authority” (nicknamed the “authority”) for our area. I went through the state regulation on forming such an entity and frankly it raised the hair on the back of my neck.

Have any of our readers had experience with such an entity? I'd really like to know what you have to say about it.

Without getting in conspiracy ideas on it, it sure appears to us that the U.N. Agenda 21 is ramping up and insinuating itself into all levels of government. Please share your experiences and details of local agenda 21 implementation. Use of the Delphi technique, implementation of ICLEI, NARC, and any other manifestations of this agenda.

On the home front, I now have a building I can work in and have been organizing it so that I can fix or build what is needed. Due to my own naivety and trust, the building is not satisfactory and we got screwed out of (what is to us) a significant amount of money. We are about finished with the insurance company that is avoiding paying us about $2000 in compensation and we can't do a thing about it. The contractor of note has taken us for around $3000 and not much can be done about that either. I could pursue the contractors board but that would be opening up a can of worms and time expenditure that would be severe, not even considering the filing fees for a complaint and pursuing of legal battles. Paybacks can be a bitch.

I truly don't have any idea what is going to transpire in the near future. What I thought was probably going to happen, hasn't, or is happening so slowly that it becomes the new normal on a daily basis. I sure don't have to like it.
