Still Here

Still Here
freeacre

My last post was written while we were having health challenges and were thinking about moving. But, things have changed.

Murphy is no longer wearing the defibrillator vest. It costs $3,500 per month (paid for by Medicare) and never did work properly. It needed wifi connections that we don't have. Plus, it gave one the feeling that a heart attack was immanent, and I don't think that was good for his consciousness. So, that's gone. Still has problems with circulation in his legs, and chest congestion from 60 years of smoking, but at 76 years old, he must be doing something right.
I have had two lumpectomies to get rid of a very rare sort of cancerous tumor in my breast this year. But, so far so good. I'm getting more help for the pain from fibromyalgia and idiopathic neuropathy. So, my mood is improving. And, I'm swimming 2-3 days per week to gain strength. Plus, I am still eating a medical marijuana cookie after dinner each night and watching a Netlix movie – so, it's pretty much all good.

Enough of the health updates.

We no longer have rabbits to take care of. But, we still have our chickens. Gotta love 'em. We love the eggs and they are just fun to watch goof around. Our old friend and housemate in Tahoe spent a few weeks with us and painted the interior colors that I love. And then he converted a shed that previously held rabbits into a storage shed where we can store supplies that were taking up too much space in the house. So, things around here have improved a lot. Our doomstead is still functional. An acre of land, fertile garden area, our own well for water, a paid for home, and a bit saved up for emergencies.

Our Trout Clan has been encouraging each other to get ready for all hell to break loose for over ten years now. It looks to me that this could be it. If you read the links to the articles submitted in the comments section of the last post, you'll know what I am referring to.

Unending resource wars in the Middle East have led to millions of people fleeing their war-torn countries and invading Europe. In addition to the families seeking safety, many many young military-aged men have arrived with them. Far from being grateful to their new country's citizenry, they seem to be intent on bringing Sharia Law to Europe. These fundamentalist Islamists seem to be a Trojan Horse that will ruin civilized countries due to their Mid-evil values and much greater breeding levels than the European countries who host them. Shockingly, Sweden has become the rape capital of Europe. Sweden! It will only get worse unless they can figure out a way to deport these invaders back to the countries from which they sprang.

But, this will not happen unless the world wakes up to the Neo-con agenda of destroying the national identities of the European countries and establishing a New World Order run by the central banks and international corporations of the world. Thankfully, this is happening all over the world as the Brexit vote to liberate England from the strangle-hold of the NWO has led the way to a rebellion. Nationalists in France, Greece, Hungary, and others are gaining popularity and we shall see what eventually happens. I think they should demand that the USA cease and desist the bogus wars that have created this mess in the first place.

Meanwhile, events in the United States have led to wondering if this is a country or an insane asylum. For the first time, the dumbed-down, distracted, misinformed citizenry has awakened to the fact that they have been sold-out. The so-called “recovery” of the economy has been based on the top one or two percent pocketing almost all the money made since 2008. The national debt is over 19 trillion dollars. There are others trillions in debt hiding in the derivatives held by the financial institutions on Wall Street. A financial collapse on a global scale seems to me immanent.

Donald Trump, that brash, outrageous person who gained the Republican Presidential nomination despite not being a politician, has articulated forbidden facts that the mainstream media has kept out of public discourse all this time. Facts like how the infrastructure of our nation has been neglected while our money is squandered on wars that only benefit the military-industrial complex. How our veterans have been neglected, while illegal aliens are given all sorts of benefits and even encouraged to vote in our elections. How our mainstream media is controlled by political operatives. How both the Democratic and Republican parties share the same UN Agenda 21. Now it is being replaced by Agenda 2030. Look it up. It's even worse.

Trump supporters are being insulted and attacked. Even my own Trump/Pense sign was stolen from my yard. Trump supporters are being threatened and attacked for simply agreeing with him on the issues. But, the lamestream media doesn't want to feature the issues. They want to destroy Trump by any means necessary – from character assassination to physical attacks. Last week his star in Hollywood was destroyed with a pick ax. Then a homeless woman who was trying to protect what was left of the star was beaten. Trump's people are helping her now.

Hillary has called Trump supporters “deplorable” racists, Islamophobes, red-necked, under-educated morons. But, the tide turned against her when these “deplorables” adopted the epithet with pride. Sort of reminiscent of the “freaks” during the hippy days accepting the term and making it their own. Now that so much damaging information is being released by Wickileaks and Anonymous from the Democrats top leadership, Trump's popularity is going up rapidly.

This makes right now a very dangerous time, if history is any judge. We only have a week before the election. If they are going to kick the recent headlines to the curb, it's going to have to be with a distraction that is very big.

What's it going to be? World War with Russia? God forbid.

Natural disaster? Yellowstone is looking like a potential catastrophe. The St. Andreas fault as well as the Cascadia fault off the shores of Oregon and Washington are also showing signs of instability. We suspect that the military has weapons that could set them off.

Financial collapse? That's going to happen for sure. We just don't know if it will be before or after the election.

An EMP attack that destroys the internet and the electrical grid? Well, that would do it. No lights, ATM machines, gas pumps, television, heat, food deliveries to grocery stores, hospitals relying on all the machinery keeping people alive, nuclear power plants melting down. Unless we all started to live like the Amish immediately, most of us would be dead by the end of next year. Personally, I think this would be overkill.

What's left? My favorite! Alien invasion. Not the Mexican kind. Space aliens threatening us in some way that requires our allegiance to the New World Order to protect us. Perfect! Remember that story that Carol Rosen used to tell about her days as a close aide to Dr. Werner Von Braun. She said that one day TPTB will fake an alien invasion in an effort to control the world. And, gee, they just came out with the sequel to “Independence Day.” Coincidence? Maybe.

So, hang on to your hats, Dear Ones. The days we have been anticipating may just have arrived. Now, perhaps more than ever, our Campfire might be important to sustain each other.
So we are not going to quit now.

Love to you all.

Apologies for having no picture to go with this post. Due to Blogger changing the formatting, we haven't figured out how to add one. So, imagine a scene from "Independence Day - Resurgence" where you see a bunch of alien ships attacking the world.

i have just posted a two part comment. When I post part 2 part one disappears so I post part one again and part 2 disappears, then I reload the page and they both disappear. Any idea what is going on?

freeacre said...

No idea! But, perhaps others are having trouble as well/ Let's see what happens when I try to post this...

Well, that worked. Let's see if this one does as well. If so, try it again with the two comments posted one at a time.

At first I thought the bits were too long but then it wouldn't have put them up in the first place so I can only assume that it considered the content would offend the sensitivities of your readership and has put it in your spam folder. Can you check if it is there. I will also send it to you by e mail in case it is not and maybe your system has a better chance of dealing with it than mine.

Glad to hear you managed to stay where you are and get the ship tightened up. Seems highly likely that the current election circus is a passing distraction, soon to be overwhelmed by the tsunami building just over the horizon. The world is smoldering. Right next to a gas tank.

It feels so good to be having our conversations again. Thanks to everyone participating. I don't know about you, but I feel the need to hold hands with you guys as we try to deal with the bizarre things going on.

I got your e-mail SATS. I will attempt to post it from here. This pedophilia connection with the Clintons and Epstein is just so depraved that I can hardly get my mind around it. And, then when the Hillary supporters condemn Trump for being a sexist, my head just explodes.

Well, it's November 5 - "remember, remember". Going to watch "V for Vendetta" as we always do on the 5th of November. This year it seems to have even more significance, eh?

So nice to hear from you, Nina. If you are ever close by, I sure would love you to visit. You, too, Izzy.

Well Freeacre, Although I have not been around much recently, I am sure glad you are not closing the doors after all. I just had a feeling that you were leaving the shop open whilst you cleared out of town through the back door. Happily, that is one of a few things I got wrong recently. I have always been one for sticking my hand up when I call it wrong ;) A long time ago someone made a valid point to me that if there are just two of you in the house and one is upstairs while the other is in the cellar and there is no way you can see or hear each other, the situation feels totally different than if you are in the house all by yourself. I guess I regard it a bit like that.

It has been said that the first person to find a cure for old age is going to be very rich and none of us are getting any younger. Every year that goes by, I close the gap on you guys just a little bit. Having said that, the associated health issues can be a real pisser. I suppose the best any of us can hope for is to become a creaking gate. A creaking gate creaks for years but it never gets any worse and it most certainly never fails. I don't know if you have ever been referred to as a creaking gate before ;) I creak with my asthma which sometimes limits bouts of sustained activity but I can work around it usually. Incidentally, asthma and epilepsy are the two conditions which are worse for bystanders to experience than the person who is having the attack.

Amongst all your troubles you are experiencing, the one I can identify with most is the loss of the dogs. As I understand it, you found a new home for them in advance of an impending move to a smaller property that eventually never happened. This was a knock on effect of the vagaries of fate. I know how much they meant to you.

part 2...

I agree with you that this time the wheels really are coming off. Before I get into how I think it might happen I want to ask if any of you are aware of the latest Hillary situation which was breaking about the time fa was posting this latest? I know there has been a total media blackout over it. So far as I am aware, You Tube is the only place where it is being reported. On the evening of Nov 2 over here in Belgium about two dozen You Tube alternative media outlets were updating their sites in real time as new information became available. In all my time on the internet I have never experienced anything like this. In case anybody is not up with the situation, the bare bones of it goes like this:

The FBI raided the home of Huma Abedin's estranged husband in relation to suspected child porno activities and possible connections with a Paedophile ring. As part of the investigation they seized the family computer. What was on it was not what they were expecting to find, in fact what they did find were copies of Hillary's missing 65,000 + e mails. When confronted, Huma reportedly said “They are easier to print off from a home computer than a remote server.” Everyone in the admin was hoping the e mail scandal would quietly go away but the director of the FBI had a difficult choice. Once word of the find had got out he could not refuse to reopen the case, on the other hand he didn't want to be counted amongst the ranks of the Clinton dead. In the meantime, Huma has been thrown off the Clinton camaigne trail, immediately went into hiding but was later reported to have been found by the FBI and is said to be trying to cut a information for immunity deal. When told of the find, Hillary is reported to have said “Then you can publish them can't you”. To paraphrase the famous Mandy Rice Davis “She would say that wouldn't she”. There is much loose talk of Hillary facing jail time and Obama too since he has sent e mails directly to the secret server so he is culpable. I wouldn't attach too much importance to this, Bill and Bush were never impeached for their offenses.

V for Vendetta, its like a documentary of our times, watching it right now ;) Good to know you and Murph are still kickin! Recent thoughts from Chris Hedges, http://hotspringswizard.blogspot.com/2016/11/sc137-10.html , " we are headed for oblivion ", yes we are, in so many ways. The latest time magazine cover says on the front " the end is near ", and it will have nothing to do with who becomes the POTUS.

On the bright side I got too new dog pups, named them Luna and Boo. Full of life and a joy to spend time with. Luna is a bit older and is going on hikes with me to the springs, and she loves to swim in the hot pool, smart dog ;)

Let's try a part 3 and see what happens:
The story goes further. Apparently Huma's mother is a Muslim activist, heading up an organization to try to introduce Sharia law into western countries. The address where this organization is located is also shared by an arm of the House of Saud. People are putting two and two together and coming up with plausible scenarios. One postulated theory goes like this. Hillary sends sensitive information (state secrets) to her server, Huma retrieves them and sends them to her mother who then passes them to the Saudis and some time later money turns up in Hilary's private bank account. If this were ever to be proved it is treason and definitely does mean jail time.

One final point on this. Hear this impassioned plea that there are men of good intent in the agencies that are working behind the scenes to do the right thing and they have stepped forward at this time to bring Hillary down because they are fed up with the constant corruption that surrounds her.

https://youtu.be/N6RmqkkRgIg

I am calling bullshit on this one. Firstly, they never were the prime movers in this, the FBI were. Secondly, why now? They, if they exist, they are just jumping on a rolling bandwagon. Why did these men of good intent not come forward during the original e mail investigation and why could they know the contents of Huma's private computer when nobody else did?

So back to how the NWO might achieve their objectives. They could probably work with whoever wins the elections but they seem to be favouring Trump which is likely why they have pulled the plug on Hillary. It seems that whoever wins, the result will be close and contested and because they will be at each others throats it is possible that the continuance of the debt limit will not be agreed causing a partial shutdown of government with possibly Obama ruling by executive order sometime in December. Even if this does not occur, when the debt limit deadline is reached in half March, Trump, assuming he is elected, will act 'responsibly' and not sanction further borrowing also resulting in a government shutdown. This will give rise to a suspension of the food stamps program and a situation on the streets similar to that we have witnessed in Venezuela. Will this dissent reach the magic figure of 4% of the population? I think the answer is, 'you bet'. This is one method by which America could be brought to its knees which seems plausible to me. With America in crisis, Europe will not escape the flack and when hard times arrive our Trojan Horse from the Middle East will take the blame which seems to be their purpose. Divide and rule, fight each other to a standstill and leave the perps alone. Having said all that, have you thought of the possibility Freeacre, that somebody actually wanted your Trump sign for themselves?

Considering this, I went to our version of the city hall yesterday and signed up for another 50 square meter parcel of vegetable garden. It is still not an acre but I can do something sensible with 100 meters and bugger the asthma. I can always give the parcel back without penalty if it is too much for me.

New update: Apparently, Atty. General Comy says the 165,000 additional e-mails have been reviewed and that it won't change anything. WHAT?? After so many people have had access to confidential messages, including Chelsea, Hillary's MAID, Weiner, Uma's Saudi mother, etc. and the references to pedophilia, etc. Unbelievable. I am so depressed. It looks like the fix is in and there is nothing we can do about it.
Hot Springs - Hi! I'm envious of your dogs. Did you notice while watching "V for Vendetta" that it was made in 2005, but was supposed to be taking place in the future - 2015, then when the people were supposed to be joining him in a year - that would be November, 2016. How prescient is that?

Let's hope that at least we will still have electricity to keep in touch through the election.

That's going to be a big garden, Belgium. I'm impressed.

Regarding Comey and his swithcharo on the Hillary email fiasco, Trump was talking up this system is rigged all over the news after comey closed the case, then Comey opens the investigation again, then says they found nothing yesterday, two days before the election. Maybe its something like trying to appease the public, like hey we looked at this twice now and there is nothing to see, Hillary is good to go, which could take the steam out of Trumps " this system is rigged " efforts, a way of trying to diffuse this issue in terms of the possibility of it keeping Hillary from getting elected. Who really knows, the powerful pull so much BS. It won't matter since neither Rump nor Killary will change the basic trajectory towards worse and worse conditions for human societies around the world.

Freeacre, my hiking pal Tema is getting older, grey in the face now ( about 12 years old ), so I got the pups as the new recruits in training for my hikes. Its fun to watch Boo and Luna play together, they really go at it and run around like little Deer in the back yard :)

Those V for Vendetta dates are interesting, though our future as you know won't be going like that in the film, no happy endings, just a bigger and bigger mess for us to try and cope with. Oh well as Tom Hanks said in the movie The Castaway, " keep breathing, tomorrow the sun will rise, who knows what the tide will bring ".

I am doing my happy dance with the election of Trump as our next President. I can hardly believe it myself. Now we just hope he stays alive. With majorities in both the House and the Senate, he actually should be able to get things done.

It is amazing to me that the Democrats are actually saying that Clinton was not elected because she is a woman. Nevermind her inept performance as Sec. of State, her war-mongering, her criminal/treasonist history with repressive states, and outrageous accumulation of hundreds of millions of dollars since Bill left office... it's "because she's a woman." What a pantload.

I've been off the box for a while, and out of the loop. Had a bike wreck over the summer. An 85 year old woman ran a newly installed red light and knocked a 58 year old man off of his 70 year old motorcycle damaging both! I got a busted up kneee, and the old indian got a bent wheel and 2 bent fork legs! The bike was easy to fix, but I took a while longer!

I got an old lawn tractor converted into a firewood hauler, and put a chainsaw together to replace the one that got stolen.

Limped to the polls, held my nose and voted for Trump! It's not because she was a woman, but I said it before, and I'll say it again: Call me a terrorist because I own firearms, and defend the Second Amendment, I will not vote for you!

We The People are finally getting tired of The War on Drugs, and legal marijunana has come to California, Massachusetts, and Maine! Arpaio in on the way out, and his legacy of lunacy is crumbling behind him!

Hate to hear about the health issues, but glad to hear everybody is doing better!

Got to go soak my knee! Later!

I am sure the Black Panthers are still there skulking around in the shadows, there again you wouldn't see them would you, and they are just as racist as the Klan. It could be argued that the Panthers weren't the ones who started it all and I would have some sympathy with that point of view. Such racism seems to be about perceived relative power. We all know that power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely. Well, that is what is said at least but is it true? I was reading an article recently that argued that acquired power only allows people to behave in the ways they aspired to when they weren't powerful. In other words psychopath is an inherited trait and not a developed one. But the dead and mentally scarred that surround the Clintons are only small beer when it comes to other working class heroes like the Gates. Bill was a shining example of the American dream and appeared to be a regular human being for the first half of his life. Until, that is, he had too much time on his hands and decided to single handedly depopulate Africa. I will bet he has probably killed more people than Hitler and folks still love him. Is it in our interests to have our dreams shattered even ones of the American kind? It is a good thing the media has decided to purge itself and just leave us with the disinformation sites. We were happier when we were ignorant and who in their right mind would want to take that happiness away?

Hotsprings, I respect Chris Hedges very much. I agree with him and his analysis right up until the end. Truly, Trump is in a position to create fascism and a police state. But, then, whomever was elected would be enabled to do the same. I do believe that The Donald will try his best to deliver for the working class. It looks like he actually might go against the tide and declare peace, work co-operativly with Putin, challenge The Federal Reserve, and take better care of our wounded soldiers.

He implies that Trump is a moron because he doesn't believe in global warming. There are a great many scientists that don't either. I do believe that the oceans are acidifying, and that is very bad. But, I think that he wants his adult children kept close because they will apprise him of new things he needs to be aware of or learn. That doesn't sound like a psychopath or a fascist to me.

I just hope he lives long enough to see what he will be able to accomplish. He is not allowing lobbyists in his administration. He wants term limits, and a rule that you can't become a lobbyist after leaving a government job for 5 years. That doesn't sound fascist to me. Quite the contrary. Fascism is a melding of corporations with government. Lobbyists are the corporatists.

At any rate, I hope Trump proves Chris Hedges wrong. The reality of neo-conservatism, globalism, robotics, and insurmountable debt are going to make his dream of making America Great Again, is probably have to be different from what it was.

America's greatness is going to have to be judged not by what we have so much as what we are as people. Be honest, be big-hearted, and get rid of all those hideous exhibitionist celebrity stories on the right side of newspapers, and that would be a BIG step in making America great as far as I am concerned.

I sometimes wonder if my bull shit meter isn't messed up. It's pegged out so much of the time that I question whether it is any longer accurate. I find myself checking that meter's calibration much more frequently.

The egging on and encouragement of the demonstrations and riots over the election and the plaintive cries of the special snowflakes would be amusing if not so pitiful.

What would be the reactions of the Dems if the Repugs were doing the same for some reason? I find there is absolutely no reason to challenge the concept that Hillary was a supporter of the status quo. At least with Trump we just may have a shot at disrupting the status quo. Taking for granted of course that you find the status quo to be not such a good thing. If we find out in the next few years, (taking for granted that he can stay alive)that Trump is just an ignorant blow hard, than we can say with certainty that we are all just slaves of the state and corporations. Then changing that situation will have to be very bloody. It might be anyway.

I am appalled at what I read that some of the colleges and university's are doing around these protests. Play dough and coloring books and excused from exams and classes? Give me a break.

As Freeacre is pron to state; We live in interesting times.

Just seeing who Trump is putting into key positions makes it clear, not that I doubted it at any point, that the powerful players are not going to miss a step doing what they intend to maintain there control by any means at their disposal. Remember Obama Mr hope and change guy that so many people believed was going to make things better. The reality, things got worse, and it will be the same with Trump. For the vast majority of the people of this world, their plight will continue to become more dire, more precarious. Climate change is now, and will increasingly bring destruction to lives and infrastructure, in this time of growing resource constraints, especially energy, which combined with so many other growing problems will bring economic conditions in permanent contraction, becoming more drastic in time. These trends can't be stopped. Do what you will, cope with the coming changes as best you can, but no one elected anywhere in the world will slow down the contracting economic larger picture unfolding, and the growing social unrest, fighting and wars that will happen because of these realities.

Remember Trump saying during the campaign how if he was elected he was going to appoint a special prosecutor to look into Hillary's illegal activities. Now when interviewed on 60 minutes he says that regarding this issue, he does not wish to hurt the Clinton's, because they are good people. He is already backing down on other claims he made about what he would do. Today I saw a video clip showing Obama saying that in campaigns politicians say things to foster passions in those they wish to elect them, but that when they get into office they see that they cannot do these things after all. I think the truth is, they never intended to do the things they say in the first place.

Some info here about various people Trump is plugging into key positions,

“he does not wish to hurt the Clinton's, because they are good people.”
Even presidents do as they are told. If you don't like that, the answers are that he may either meet the challenge head on and deliberately be a bad surf (Hitler tried that one and look where it got him) or make derivative trading illegal together with paying off the national debt. Neither of these seem very likely to me, although there may be some unpopular belt tightening in mid March when the debt limit is up or renewal.

My personal feelings over global warming are that it is not real. To qualify that, even if it can be demonstrated that the earth is warming up, that effect has nothing to do with the activities of mankind.

Has anyone ever hung around a lab or been to a hospital or anywhere where an old fashioned pen and ink chart recorder was used to measure some effect? When the machine is on and running but at that moment there is nothing to measure, you would expect the pen to be at rest on the left hand side of the graph giving a ruler straight line down the chart but it is not. Small variations in the condition of the measuring sensor or internal circuits switching themselves in and out, make the pen move very slightly back and forth, maybe only two or three or four thicknesses of the nib. This is known as base line chatter and is generally ignored. It is only in the last one hundred an fifty years, certainly no more than two hundred that weather and climte conditions have been monitored with scientific instruments. Compared to geological time this is miniscule and it is my contention that what we are now witnessing amounts to no more than base line chatter. I know we have to start somewhere but there are real dangers of extrapolating the results of a small sample and coming to eroneous conclusions. That does not mean we should dismiss such results, rather we should be aware to keep them in context, be cautious of over-interpreting them whilst at the same time applying the precautionary principle that we may be on the cusp of a real effect.

It was when scientists analysed ice core samples that some concluded that maybe similar conditions to what we are now experiencing had existed prior to the last ice age and we might be in for global freezing instead. It was at that point global warming morphed into climate change.

So many real climate scientists baled out of the IPCC once they became aware of the official narrative they were expected to endorse. Which leads us to ask what is behind all this pseudo science to convince us of a story. Could it be to make us afraid because people who are afraid do not act rationally? Could it be to trade carbon thus effectively introducing another tax to increase the disparrity between ourslves and the banking class? Or could it be a Harry Houdini like deception to have us all looking the wrong way when the economic neutron bomb turns into the other end of the street? Or a combination of these.

It seems to me, the further we go down the global warming rabbit hole the more we get tunnel vision. We have had two ice ages and the formation of the ring of fire when the effects of volcanic activity covered the whole earth with a thick layer of smoke. The earth has been far warmer and far colder than it is now, there have been times when CO2 levels have been both whole magnitudes higher and lower than at present and we are still here.
The planet will look after itself, it always has. It is the inhabitants of the planet we should be more concerned about.

And why is it, do you think, that resource depletion, which is a more serious and immediate problem than global warming does not receive the same attention? Could it be that if we started to care about that, we may stop buying stuff?

Explanation of cultural Marxism

Hedges is truly a gifted writer and thinker, with wonderful insight and articulation. But he needs to broaden his scope. How can a political/social critic in the West today hope to be taken seriously without examining heretofore forbidden and unacknowledged institutions, as well as their programs and policies?

In this day, relevance demands light be shed on secret societies like the Bilderbergers, Skull and Bones and the Council on Foreign Relations. The irony of a handful of the world's richest and most powerful satanic pedophiles gathering in closed session to determine a future for the disenfranchised masses laboring in our respective "democracies" has become a distasteful joke. Let's see what Hedges has to say about Pizzagate.

The Left has a problem with picking and choosing its truths. For eight years Obama, and his underlings, have rampaged throughout the Middle East and Africa, causing mayhem and destruction everywhere they went. What do we hear from his base? Crickets. He out-bushes
Bush, and the Left looks the other way.

His domestic policies have been as disastrous. He's given us a vicious attack dog police state on a corporate leash, doubled the national debt, offered us "Affordable Healthcare" no one can afford, granted the banksters impunity and now he's flooding our towns and cities with refugees he created. In short, we're fucked. And the liberal Left demands "More!"

BTW, the science is in. All the planets in our solar system are showing signs of warming.

It is about Obama's (un)intended legacy to Trump.

“BTW, the science is in. All the planets in our solar system are showing signs of warming.”

Is that really surprising to anyone? If we can compare our galaxy to the earth, then our solar system is floating high in the jet stream well out of the way of anything at all. As the earth spins under the clouds (weather presenters will have it the other way around) so our galaxy rotates under us. It so happens that the arms of our spiral galaxy have started to swing under us. The combined gravitational effect of billions of stars gradually lining up with us is starting to affect our sun. I am not sure of the mechanism by which this works but we are told this results in increased energy output from the sun resulting in global and solar system warming. Hang on for a bumpy ride – for several thousand years I believe :)

Murph, my point about politicians is that it doesn't matter what they do or do not do if elected, the downfall of world economic activity and the increasing degradation of the biosphere will continue, each becoming more grave as the years roll by. All of us will do what we think we should in light of this future of ever more difficult conditions for the lives we make for ourselves.

Sat and RP, The atmosphere is like the thickness of a coat of paint on a basket ball. Humans in the last couple of hundred years have been burning mind boggling amounts of sunlight stored for millions of years, formed into coal, gas and oil. Wood is being burned in gargantuan amounts which is also a huge factor. How many cars are in the world now? Take one of those cars, get in the small space of its interior, take the exhaust and pipe it inside. You won't like it for long, the heat and gases. This is what humans are doing to our atmosphere. Believe it, or don't believe, it won't matter ..... http://www.ianwelsh.net/living-in-the-truth-or-dying-in-lies/

Hey, Hotsprings, what's that bright light in the southwestern sky, about an hour after sunset?

Hotspringswizard said...

RP, the bright light you are seeing is Venus .... http://www.skynews.ca/this-weeks-sky/ ,it is incredibly bright this time of year, especially when the air is crisp and cold like it will be tomorrow night at the springs :)

On the heating atmosphere, here is a graph showing CO2levels in the last 800,000 years .... https://www.google.com/search?q=images+of+graph+showing+the+last+800,000+years+of+CO2+levels+in+the+atmosphere&biw=1280&bih=647&tbm=isch&tbo=u&source=univ&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwj7mYvQsbvQAhWrj1QKHdOWASEQsAQIGQ#imgrc=okqzb-FllmhnKM%3A

The 400+ CO2 level have now created the conditions for the warmest atmosphere and ocean temps ( average ) ever recorded. Vast concentrations of Methane gas are now being increasingly released in the northern hemisphere from thawing permafrost and shallow ocean methane hydrates ( frozen material turning to gas ). The Methane potential appears it very likely will be released very quickly in a feed back loop scenario combined with the CO2 to cause world average global temperatures to keep rising to levels which will begin to kill off the food crops, the plants cannot survive the hotter conditions. This warming creates diverse, extreme, chaotic climate conditions, like in this one ongoing recent example .... https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/energy-environment/wp/2016/11/17/the-north-pole-is-an-insane-36-degrees-warmer-than-normal-as-winter-descends/?utm_term=.74a4eb6de83d

rockpicker said...

If I'm hearing my sources correctly, (Ben Davidson, with Suspicious Observers.com), Venus and Jupiter are now in alignment with the sun. That means, from our perspective here on Earth, when the sun is down, so are they. But that bright light in the southwestern sky shines for at least an hour after the sun sets. I don't think it's Venus.

I would like to ask why, if the Pacific west of North America was as warm as the maps seemed to indicate all summer, did it not rain in California during the summer months? Doesn't warmer water suggest more evaporation? And doesn't increased evaporation portend more, not less, rainfall, when those moisture-laden clouds are forced up over high mountain peaks? (Falling back on seventh and eighth grade earth science sketches now.)

And, of course, given our advancing technology, we have all sorts of satellite photography of the eastern Pacific showing blitzkrieg chemtrails parallel to the coast, 300 miles wide and from Oregon to Baja in length. Obviously, not the result of commercial air traffic.

Where is the outrage from organized environmentalism on Fukushima? The world has three nuke plants in China-Syndrome meltdown and not even one international conference called to brainstorm remediation efforts. What effect do airborne radionuclides have on climate? Haven't heard one voice from Sierra Club or Greenpeace address this, yet Yoichi Shimatsu and Jeff Rense have been discussing this topic for five years. The silence on the Gulf of Mexico and Fukushima from organized environmentalism is DEAFENING.

Yes, the atmosphere isn't much is it but it is the same one we have always had. That doesn't mean we should be deliberately casual with it. Mention global warming to almost anyone and the first thing you will hear back is CO2. It is a greenhouse gas for sure but not that much of one. I always thought of CO2 as 10% real effect and 90% scare. And yes, it does acidify the oceans. Carbonic acid is weak, in other words the hydrogen isn't really that replaceable and the reaction that formed it, is easily reversible.

H2O + CO2 < = > H2CO3

H2CO3 < = > (H)+ (HCO3)- is small, in other words the LHS of the equation is more stable so there will not be that much acidic hydrogen released into the oceans and although the pH will drop, it will not drop that much. It is a far weaker acid than vinegar and also far weaker then the citrous acids found in fruit. It is not like nitric acid or sulphuric for example. If and when the atmosphere stabilizes the first reaction will reverse and the CO2 will come out into the atmosphere again.

Those graphs HSW presented were interesting. When Al Gore first presented them in his film everybody took a gasp and he made a joke. He said “I wonder if they will fit together” like people used to say about the continents on an atlas. It sure looks as if they should. The answer is deceptive because of the scale of the baseline which is in units of 100,000 year intervals. When it is scaled into smaller units, however, say 1,000 year intervals it can be seen in every cycle that the temperature begins to rise first and about 800 years later the CO2 begins to follow it. So we see the temperature is driving the CO2 level not the CO2 level causing a temperature rise. My, it was inconvenient we spotted that one.
The peaks and troughs are apparently caused by the earths slightly elliptical orbit being in sync or out of sync with the angle of the earth's tilt or maybe it was the circadian year and our distance from the sun at that time (I have heard it said, although I can't quite get my head around that one ;-) ). Incidentally, the main 800,000 year Temp / CO2 graph; I clicked on it to make it bigger which it did, then I clicked a second time and it auto directed to a page where someone was debunking the temp, CO2 meme. I just thought I would put that in.

One final technical point before I leave all this. Everyone knows that heat rises and if the earth is getting warmer then the top of the atmosphere where the troposphere meets the stratosphere, about 12km above sea level, should be showing a dramatic rise in temperature but it has not varied from about min70°F since we have been measuring it. These readings have been measured by satellites and confirmed by weather balloons. There is a feeling that it may actually be getting colder but until something significant happens I would dismiss this as base line chatter.

The methane coming mainly out of Siberia is a whole other thing. That is a real greenhouse gas and being a paraffin it will have nothing to do with water. Moreover, there is nothing we can do to stop it apart from waiting for the permafrost to completely thaw and then refreeze again as it did about ten thousand years ago. Will it all go back again? I don't know, did it ten thousand years ago?

Btw, HSW I hope you realize that I am just disagreeing with you, I am not arguing ;)

Here is Al Gore backtracking and still trying to regain some credibility – Gosh we always thought the earth was just a lump of rock with some water on it, we never realized it was a living thing.

RP, the bright light is Venus. If you don't believe this, call someone involved with astronomy in your area and they can explain it to you. The average global temperature is rising, and therefore there is also more precipitation of all sorts. The extra water going into the atmosphere has to come back down. Yes there are droughts in areas around the earth, but there are also greater deluges where the extra water is coming down.

Sats, CO2 concentrations have spiked dramatically since humans have been burning all sorts of fuels in mass quantities of carbon based fuels. It and methane are heating up the atmosphere and it will bring more chaotic and intense weather of all kinds which will be causing more and more difficulties. Human societies are " heat engines " related to all the activity that goes on. The ice structures all around the world are melting. I understand well that that there are natural cycles that affect the planetary systems, but the spike in green house gases that has occurred in the last couple hundred years is due to the burning man has does. Some people like yourself don't believe it. The future will unfold related to whats really going on, and whether various humans are interpreting what is unfolding correctly, believe this or that, the outcome will be the same. The ride from here will be getting more and more problematic for the lives we all live. To many people, too few resources, an increasingly damaged biosphere, and our climate bringing lots of trouble, perhaps even creating an extinction event in the near term decades ahead. Other than that, things are great! Happy Thanksgiving ;)

I know it is remiss of me to respond without looking at the link but I really don't have time right now so I will just make a couple of quick points. It was a few years ago now when disaster movies like the Day After Tomorrow came out there were predictions that water from melting ice would form a lubricant between Greenland's glaciers and the underlying rock and they were all going to float away. They have gotten a bit shorter and a bit thinner in the meantime but essentially they are still there. Also, it was the disappearing ice cap that sank the Titanic in 1912 and that was before the temperature hockey stick kicked in. Why is it, do you think, that we only ever hear of this process going in one direction?

Finally, I say this merely as a fact, without comment. It was David Rockefeller's protégé Maurice Strong that set the terms of reference for both the IPCC and Agenda 21.

At this site, https://nsidc.org/arcticseaicenews/ , look near the bottom of the page at the graph showing Arctic Ice Extent. See a trend?

However, I am re-thinking my values since most of the Hollywood folks have come out so vocally against Donald Trump and his followers. That is just about half of the citizenry of this country. I guess they have not thought about how their bread is buttered. Now I view their palatial homes all over the world as examples of their excess. Now I just see them as rich over-privileged fucks who could care less about the working class Americans. It kinda kills me to come to this conclusion. But, it is what it is.

fa, Widen you horizons, world cinema is the answer. World cinema. Yes, Belgium, I can do that. Actually we DO do that. Last night we watched what I considered to be an awful Chinese film, "Let the Bullets Fly." We watched it in dubbed English with Subtitles. But, the subtitles were completely different from the spoken word. That happens a lot with Chinese films. We watch almost everything with subtitles, as the Murphinator is getting hard of hearing. I don't mind reading subtitles, but oftentimes they melt into whatever is in the background. That's annoying.

I hope Chris is better soon. Maybe some zinc and some garlic? Couldn't hurt.

"...The CDC will lie about anything it wants to. It will boldly go where no person interested in real science will go.

It will completely ignore its mandate to care about human health, and it will get away with it.

And CBS will conveniently forget how it aided and abetted the CDC, by censoring real news, and instead opted for egregious and titanic fake bullshit."

HSW,

I also am concerned about Trumps choice of professional military folks that are supposed to be civilian positions. I can't come up with an example where a nation that was mostly governed by military people ended well for the population. Same goes for the ultra wealthy in control. Me thinks that as a population we have way to much idealization of the wealthy and violent folks in our society. We shall see how this all plays out I reckon.

Good analogy here.

http://christianmerc.blogspot.in/2016/12/no-peace-in-mind.html?m=1

Our national 'system', based on the Constitution and the Bill of Rights, as fallible as it might be, has built into it a means of self-correction.

The tyranny of globalist governance offers no such mechanism. Rather, what we 'useless eaters' have to look forward to from the international banksters and fascists is the "Pit of Despair."

Like the bleeding, legless knight guarding the bridge in a Monty Python skit, Hillary has made a mockery of herself and the oligarchic buffoons she represents through her silly attempts at denying Trump's passage into the WH.

What's she gonna do, bleed on us?

Trump vs the Deep State

And here's a little inconvenient "truthiness" we should all be aware of.

If electors succeed in demanding a CIA briefing on Russian attempts to influence US elections, then let those briefings be open to the entire electorate. No more secret dealings behind closed doors. If the blackops boys intend to strongarm a captive electoral college, I think we all deserve to be in on it.

Show us the evidence. Let us meet the accusers. Shit, or get off the pot, to quote my mother.

On another point, what does it matter who hacked the emails? No one has challenged the authenticity of the emails. No one's charged forgery. So... the ball is still in the Hillary camp...and the clock is ticking.

I'm just going to take the opportunity to whine about the SNOWPOCALYPSE that we had to deal with yesterday. It snowed about 2-3 feet and when the Murphinator fired up the snowblower to try and enable us to get out of the driveway, the snow intimidated the blower. Blew a hole in the side of the engine and killed it. Then the car got high-centered while trying to get out, which put the car half-way into the street. Fortuitously, my prayers to Ganesh seemed to have worked, as a snow plow guy came by at just the right time, and he helped us out by plowing the driveway. Still had to shovel out the car, shovel a path to the chickens and one for the new little dog to go potty. Aaaargh!

All this sabotage of the electoral process to steal the Presidency from Trump is making me very anxious. I just can't get my mind around it. It seems the MSM has created such a toxic perspective that People like Michael Moore are advocating disrupting the inauguration or, even worse, assassinating The Donald. I certainly hope that the Secret Service arrests these brain-washed Clintonistas for threatening the Presidency.

Take care everyone.

Oh, yeah, I forgot to add "It's only a flesh wound!" hearkening back to the knight guarding the bridge analogy. We watched Monte Python's "In Search of the Holy Grail" again a couple of weeks ago. Forgot how funny it was to have the horses represented by the clapping of coconuts and the insults from the French. Hilarious!

"...It is no longer credible, much less ethical, to describe people engaged in acts of mass murder and slaughter in Paris, London, Brussels, or in the US, as terrorists, while at the same time describing those responsible for the same murder and slaughter in Syria as 'rebels'. In fact it is obscene beyond measure.”‬

I have been looking at this one for ages wondering whether to say something or not. In broad brush terms, I agree with what you say but it is a bit more complicated than that. In fact, the words as they stand are actually true. Assad heads the legitimately elected regime in Syria. Those who are militarily opposed to it and are trying to bring it down are rebelling against it and are therefore rebels. The fact that local communities in Syria, (and also Iraq for that matter) are held hostage as a result of which many are killed because they cannot escape or die because of the inhumane conditions, only serves to muddy the waters and also the semantics.

Then we come to the very thin line between a theocracy and a religious centered democracy. What is the greater cohesive force in these countries? Is it Islam or is it the policies on which those regimes were elected? There are those who argue that God's law is a higher authority than man's laws. When man flouts God's law in pursuit of 'earthly pleasures' for want of something better to call it, then it is legitimate to act asymmetrically in order to bring those regimes back to the religious beliefs on which they claim to base their governance. That is why those with stricter interpretations of holy works chose to decimate the tourist industries of Egypt and Tunisia even though Ben Ali was reported to have the most economically successful and least corrupt government in Africa. The fact that they chose to achieve that objective by murdering innocents means that they are rebels who are achieving their ends through acts of terrorism.

This was later exported to Europe as as a cohesive force between like minded people and a warning to those governments who didn't see things their way.

Iran is on record as saying that in the David and Goliath event of a direct assault on its territory by the USA it will respond asymmetrically. Is such a response justified whatever that may mean or entail?

Finally, without coming to any conclusion, I am going to give a list of names and ask whether or not they were terrorists and if so whether or not, their actions were eventually justified.

Nelson Mandela - Most notable of the group’s terrorist operations was the Church Street bombings in Pretoria, 1983, in which 19 civilians died.

Ariel Sharon – was he the King of Israel for his military successes or was he the Butcher of Beirut. He will always be remembered for his responsibility for the massacres of civilians in the Palestinian refugee camps of Sabra and Shatilla. Up to 3,500 unarmed civilians were murdered by Sharon’s forces.

Yasser Arafat – Much respected in the west in his later life when he tried to broker peace with Israel, his PLO group In 1973, were responsible for the shootings of 5 diplomats and 5 others.

Martin McGuinness and Gerry Adams – There is a lot to pick from here - they are now running a peaceful and cohesive country. More closely associated with Eire than Britain, Eire is the only nation to have paid off its crippling EU debt and McGuinness and Adams have made clear their intent to seek EU membership for Northern Ireland when Brexit becomes a reality.

Leila Khaled – Associated with plane hijackings in 1969 and 1970 she is still heading up the PFLP to liberate Palestine.

Vladimir Putin - The most famous operation he is accused of being involved in is the Russian apartment bombings of September 1999. This time-bomb event caused the deaths of 293 civilians and injured 651 others.

Ronald Regan – for his support of of the terrorist Nicaraguan Contras. No we don't want to go down that particular rabbit hole.

I guess when you are picking and choosing between this lot it comes down to those you like and those you don't.
