The Rabbit Hole of Hate

another beautiful creation from Hot Springs Wizard

freeacre

Sometimes, I have to admit, I feel pretty smug about how I knew the real estate crash was going to happen. I knew that if I got a re-finance loan, I had three years to pay off my bills, re-model my home, and sell it for a profit before the crash. I was tipped off way in advance by Mike Ruppert’s “From the Wilderness” and Matt Savinar’s “Life After the Oil Crash.” We not only read these sites. We were convinced. We took action. And, I am glad that we did. We have gone on to be guided by “Urban Survival,” “Of Two Minds,” “Survival Acres,” “Comrade Simba,” “Cryptogon,” etc. and now we are enriched by our tribal blogs as well.

But, I don’t feel so smug anymore. It’s getting pretty weird out there. I find myself negotiating the different alternative information sites as if I were walking a path salted with land mines. It used to be that one could turn to alternative sites and read one rant after another exposing how dimwitted, galling, manipulative, greedy, or otherwise heinous George Bush and his henchmen were. He was a third generation Nazi, a member of the Skull and Bones, cocaine-tooting, playboy, alcoholic, loser who happened to be President of the United States. And Carl Rove, “His Brain,” was a slimy, but clever, master-manipulator who had orchestrated the take-over of the military and Washington by rapture-driven, born-again, sheep with the IQ of a pet rock, over the last 30 years. And, Darth Chaney – don’t get me started. All that seemed to be pretty well documented and verifiable. We wondered if an election was going to be allowed at all, given that the last two had been stolen. We wondered if we were going to be rounded up and thrown into FEMA camps if we resisted getting chipped or if our firearms were confiscated. Oil had peaked. The trucks delivering food would be out of gas any day now. The electrical grid was deteriorating. We stocked up on batteries, kerosene lamps, solar radios, alternative heating, three years of firewood, and Amish dipper for the well, in case the pump goes out.

I’m glad that we have all this stuff. But, something is off. Timing, for one thing. The economic and real estate crash is happening, for sure. But, the Overseers keep coming up with new ways to prop it up and allow at least the façade of business-as-usual to continue. There are tent cities on the outskirts of most metropolitan areas. But, people continue to bet that “things are turning around.” I thought the lights would be out by now. But, it keeps on keepin’ on, and that is getting on my nerves. And another thing - the alternative sites are more shrill than ever.

Now that the cretinous Bush regime is out and Obama is in, the same, if not worse, screeds are being written about Obama on sites like Rense, Steve Quayle, or Truthseeker. He’s a fake, a phony, a Muslim, a closet Jew, a homo, a minion of Israel/Bilderberger/Illuminati, etc. They’re labeling him everything but what it seems they really can’t stand – he’s semi-black. Half black, raised by white relatives in Hawaii. But, even that level of black seems to be too much to bear for these racist fucks. Or, are they anti-Semite fucks? I object to the brutal policies of Israel, too. But, the vehemence with which many of these stories are written, the innuendo and the paranoia, belies the hatred that used to be reserved for the Ku Klux Klan literature of the 50’s. All that’s missing are pictures of pawn shop symbols and big noses. If they ever finish hating blacks and Jews, they’ll turn to the Muslims, Mexicans, or women’s libbers. There is no end to it.

Everywhere I turn there are just jaw-dropping, disgusting pieces that I avert my eyes from. I go to Huffington Post to see what the mainstream is doing and I see headlines about the size of Tiger Wood’s penis or Lady GaGa’s I-don’t’-know-what, political wankers, bulging underpants, or some hideous, tasteless abomination that somehow passes as “news” or “pop” culture. I go for news and it feels like I landed at Hustler Magazine. WTF?

You go to even straighter sites, like MSMBC or ABC or CBS, and it’s all a despicable corporate love-fest. You can hardly get more than a few headlines, since you spend all your time watching drug commercials and dodging flash ads about belly fat. It’s all about selling you something, or inducing some false sense of pride that makes you feel good about being a corporatist, errr Repubican, uh, American. They take it for granted that we all hang out at The Mall, work in some cubicle, and never miss an episode of American Idol (which I have never actually seen).

So, why do I keep turning to the internet? Good question. Let me assure you that my own irony has not escaped me. After all, I take some measure of pride in the fact that over the years, I have honed insults to the neo-cons and Overlords into a quasi art form. But, now I wonder if I am becoming part of the problem. I wonder if any of the fringe sites would ever be able to recognize good things when they see them. Or, maybe stop thinking in terms of good and bad, but rather, asking “What is the goal? And how do we get there? That way, maybe we could disagree without deciding that one of us should be rotting in hell. Could we maybe work out a few things?

How much is evil and how much is just simply wrong or in error? Wrong can be persuaded. Wrong can be taught. Wrong can be forgiven. Wrong can change. Wrong can be disagreed with, but also worked with. Wrongs can be healed. Evil, it seems to me, is not human. Evil is systemic, ruthless, without compassion, unable to be reasoned with and cannot be fought that same way that one can fight a person. Like Ran Prier said, “evil is like a forest fire.” You don’t petition it, you don’t lay down in front of it to get it to change its course.

Somehow we need to be able to tell the two apart. When we can’t tell the difference, we end up seeing evil everywhere. And, when one sees evil everywhere, they become afraid. And, when they become afraid, they become more susceptible to evil, even a minion of evil. And, then they bring on what it is that they fear.

The metaphysicians teach that these are days of transition. From the Age of Pisces to the Age of Aquarius, a procession of the equinoxes. The End Times, the Apocalypse. The Hopis, the Hindus, the Aborigines, the Taoists, the Egyptians, the Mayans – all have predictions of the end of days that will lead to something new. But, the Evil Ones, the Satanists, the Reptilians, the Corporatist vampires, the Money or Power driven Zombie Overlords as well as the hate-filled wing nuts would have it all end in debt, death and dissolution - because they have never been really free and alive in the first place.

It does seem to be shaping up as camps of good and evil. Yes, there is going to be struggle and loss and shortage and challenge and hard times. But, we can learn and help and protect and save and build and innovate and transform. The others are going to want to hate and kill and maim and intimidate and dominate. I believe that we as human beings are blessed with a natural capacity to discern light from dark, love from fear or hate. Our whole body is a receptor. Our minds can be confused. But, our bodies know. We can feel it if we cultivate the sensitivity to it.

So, I, for one, intend to work on becoming adept at recognizing hateful and fear-filled perspectives and agendas and avoid them. I am intending to throw what is left of my life’s energy into recognizing the good, the helpful, the productive, the caring, the comforting, the strong, the creative in the challenges before us. Let’s face it - we are all going to die. But, until then, we need to decide how we are going to live. This intention doesn’t mean that I will never get angry. Far from it. Anger can be good. It’s hatred that I’m having a problem with.

I am reminded of the line by Bob Dylan, “ Some say don’t hate nothin’ at all, except hatred.” When you hate, you keep whatever it is stuck in the same spot. If you forgive, you allow it to turn into something else. Forgiveness doesn’t mean condoning that which is wrong. It doesn’t mean being complicit, or denying, or allowing it to continue. It means setting yourself free from fear and allows for the possibility of transformation. In humans, it is one of our greatest powers. We just don’t quite get it yet. But, I am allowing for the possibility that maybe we will.

Ain't that the truth. I guess we need to get a certain amount of information from somewhere, but the internet is fast becoming a cesspool of conflicting impossibilities. And while the mind can easily resemble a crazed monkey, the body doesn't lie.

One way or another, we're all headed for our personal end-time, and the older I get the more obvious that simple truth becomes. So meanwhile I try to focus on something positive and keep it local. Providence is going to have to sort out the Big Picture anyway.

In the early days of anything at all, the new experience seems wonderful, magical even and so it was with the internet. Then those who would have it differently get into the act and it becomes compromised. With all the good stuff around you don't notice at first, it is a gradual seeping awareness of disinformation but once it is seen for what it is and that which you once loved has been tainted, a mixture of anger and disappointment sets in. I have a small number of trusted sites and the rest I don't go anywhere near now. Sad but unfortunate, that is the way life is.

This resonates with me so much right now, especially since so many people we know here in the L.V. area bought into "the dream." The hubs and I have been hearing (almost daily, for nearly four years) that we should buy one of the many homes up for sale here. "Get in while the prices are low," they said in 2006, 2007, 2008 and 2009, "They are only going up from here!"
We sat and watched (sometimes enviously, I won't lie) as they bought their awesome surround-sound systems, their boats, Harleys, and plasma televisions.
"How can you work so much and never have any money to go out," my friends asked, as I was paying off my college debt and my car, as we bought seeds, food stores, camping gear, good shoes and all-weather clothing.
"How can you guys leave Vegas? You'll never make this kind of money anywhere else," they correctly predict. Yes, but we will have rich soil for our garden, fresh water, and we will live somewhere we love, meagerly but happily.

And if it DOES all come tumbling down, if our friends or enemies come to us asking to help work the land in exchange for food or a place to lay their heads, we will welcome them with open arms, hearts and minds.

AND. If it doesn't. If we somehow manage to miraculously sustain the unsustainable, the consumers are able to keep their heads just above water and their standard of living intact, we will invite them over for a quiet night of cards, music, fresh food and laughter, and hope they enjoy our peaceful existence for an evening.

Wow, it sounds like you're off your game a bit. As a cubile-dwelling republican in a large desert city that is doomed when peak-oil kicks in, I am in great envy that you get to enjoy fresh air, home-grown tomatoes, and blessed quiet when you wake up in the morning.

I hope you get your mojo back soon, I think you have a very nice life.

When the sky whirled away,
you gathered a skillet of coals
and led us to this sacred lee.
We stood about, skeptical
and afraid, while each, in turn,
laid down his true stick
upon the affirming flame
you kindled. And the fire
danced in its little pot,
its light glanced off faces,
angry or serene. Limbs
wagged like fingers
in the mad wind overhead.
Some sang. Some whispered.
Many shouted to be heard
above the din, truth
too ugly to repeat
and too fetid to ignore.

"You can't go back,
and you can't stand still.
If the thunder don't get you,
the lightning will."

Tomorrow, under massing clouds
I will break ice in my stone bowl,
splash my face, walk out
into tainted air and toil.
We must pay for what life
we are allowed, stuff wax in ears
so no song, no drone
of lucrative fanaticism
interferes with dutiful atoning.
The demon I dare not incite
never smiles on this flickering light.

The White man does not understand the Indian for the reason that he does not understand America. He is too far removed from its formative processes. The roots of the tree of his life have not yet grasped the rock and soil. The White man is still troubled with primitive fears; he still has in his consciousness the perils of this frontier continent, some of its vastness not yet having yielded to his questing footsteps and inquiring eyes. He shudders still with the memory of the loss of his forefathers upon its scorching deserts and forbidding mountain-tops. The man from Europe is still a foreigner and an alien. And he still hates the man who questioned his path across the continent. But in the Indian the spirit of the land is still vested; it will be until other men are able to divine and meet its rhythm. Men must be born and reborn to belong. Their bodies must be formed of the dust of their forefather's bones.

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

Oh, yes, I went to the White man's schools. I learned to read from school books, newspapers, and the Bible. But in time I found that these were not enough. Civilized people depend too much on man-made printed pages. I turn to the Great Spirit's book which is the whole of his creation. You can read a big part of that book if you study nature. You know, if you take all your books, lay them out under the sun, and let the snow and rain and insects work on them for a while, there will be nothing left. But the great spirit has provided you and me with an opportunity for study in nature's university, the forests, the rivers, the mountains, and the animals which include us.

To love is to be responsible like this in everything: the work we do, the things we buy, the food we eat, the people we look up to, the movies we see, the words we use, every choice we make from morning till night. That is the real measure of love; it is a wonderfully demanding responsibility.

Lately, I have been feeling that TPTB, unable to deal with a deluge of incriminating facts, have simply decided to poison all wells. A deluge of garbage information is showing up everywhere I look. On Climate, Medicine, Politics, Finance or whatever the real world topic any alternative to The Televised Truth has become subject to poo-flinging worthy of Monkey Rock at the zoo.

I trust certain individuals and institutions who have solid reputations. Institutions that speak primarily to the general public are suspect. Sound and fury signifying nothing is the order of the day.

Well, in keeping with "it being Sunday" I have lit a candle and incense for the memory of Tecumseh. Great change is once again forecast, with great shaking of earth and fire in the sky. And, all of us who know themselves to be the children of our Mother, the Earth, are no longer of different races or tribes. Brothers and sisters, united Children of Gaia is more like it. I hope that Tecumseh would be pleased.
Maybe once more, when the great shaking begins, or there is the appearance of Nibiru, or the Sun swells and ejects a coronal mass of great intensity and all things change, the constructions of the wicked will be destroyed and those that have readied themselves for this day will be able to drum and dance and rejoice around their sacred campfires.
Ha! I invite you all to a gathering of the Trout Clan. 2012. Our house - wherever it ends up.

"Somehow we need to be able to tell the two apart."

I've been blessed with guidance lately that enables me to speak to your questions:

I fainted one morning in the shower. My sweetheart called 911 out of fear. The ambulance travelled 1 block to our house and the EMT people strapped me to a stretcher and literally whisked me to the Assland 'community' (yup the one you're thinking) hospital emergency room. I totally resisted the salt water IV and it was jammed in my arm against my will. I came to as the ambulance began to roll and was basically told that I was going to the hospital regardless of my will. I immediately refused all services at the ER and had to demand to be released anyway.

The bills came. All of them from farther away than Eugene btw, $987 for the mile ride in the ambulance. close to $800 for the ER room where they basically did nothing. Just under $500 for the attending physician to place a stethescope on my chest and spend 10 minutes trying to talk me into needless tests. All of which I refused.

Numerous phone calls for some compassion and reasonable reduction in any of the bills were of course, futile.

These so called 'people' are EVIL. Period.

Theres no compassion for such greed in my life anymore. This sort of filth needs to be cleaned up by whatever means it takes.

I spent close to $2000 of my hard earned savings for NOTHING.

I hope this helps you nice people with some of your questions.

Yes,you people have such blessed insight and are so articulate to the way of your beliefs.I am in total agreement Freeacre, people are feeling a bit skittish waiting for this huge ball to drop and for there to be this great inevitible change that will be life changing and profound. The problem seems to be that we want faster action and like the post a couple of times ago seemed to be saying, the crash is already in progress and we've past our peak of civilization. Now I am an avid reader of Derrick Jensen,James Kunstler, and many others of like mind who also see that the end is inevitable. So the time table of that event just happens to drive us crazy because we are soo tragically insighted with so much knowledge about the evil in this world that is perpetrated from power and greed. We hope and pray that this happens now and quick so that we can start anew, but, alas,We are most likely going to not see those wonderful changes in our generation, but who knows?,We just might get lucky. So we prepare for the worst and expect it with trepidation,But rejoice in the joyfullness of our personal relationships as we can.You folks typing into this campfire are such thoughfull folks I'm so glad I stumbled across your voice in the wilderness,Oh yes I've read him too. Thanks for the chat

I always appreciate your thoughts Freeacre :-) Great job on your most recent entry. The family and I are on a road trip up HWY 1 ( So Cal Coast ) for a week, going as far north as San Francisco by Easter Weekend. Currently we are in Morro Bay. Went to the Carrizo Plain today with my friend who live in Los Osos and the wild flowers out there are just unbelievable. In places its like your dancing down the Yellow Brick Road towards the Emerald City :-)

Did alot of photography of the flowers, and near sunset from a high point above the plain we all had a picnic and watched the sunset. Took some amazing shots of a flower my friend said was called a Desert Candle, an image of a growing thing that would fit perfectly into any landcapes found down The Rabbit Hole.

Filling yourself with hate will only diminish you and enfuse you with a bitter spirit. There is certainly purpose in knowing well the terrain of the times we are living in, but to my mind these efforts should serve some greater purpose towards guiding your path to the things that make our lives worthwhile.

Like letting the vision of a Desert Candle in the sunset fill you with awe of its beauty, there are so many simple ways to make your life full with passion for all things good in this world. Better to strive for that, than to dwell in sentiments of hate :-)

I'll send you a photo of one of these flowers Freeacre when we get back from our trip as it appears my camera photo card is not compatible with our laptop so I can't download the pics till I get home.

Good to read the comments of the rest of you good people :-) Well its almost mid-night and its off to my nightmind wanderings, and perhaps there will be flowers there, in the Rabbit Hole of a mystery that all of our dreamscapes really are :-)

And, Rockpicker, is that guy from the link saying that the Government invests trillions of dollars on the stock market? What??

Oh! I have good news! For the first time ever, one of our chickens has "gone broody"! She is one of the semi-rare breeds (Dominique) that we got last year as a little chick because we read that this breed will go broody sometimes. Most of the more common breeds nowadays won't sit on a nest, so you have to buy new chicks. We plan to put a couple of other eggs under her, so she can hatch a couple of Arraconas as well. Oh boy! I'm all excited. Hope this works. We have new baby bunnies as well. I guess Spring has sprung.

If you have never run into this I think it is well worth a read.

it certainly was dublin mick. many thanks.

and so, there are many such untold stories the likes of which, were we privy to them, would highly likely alter what we regard as our personal world view; the stuff of point of view, of interpretations, of frozen gospel. they remain, for the most part, untold, unexamined. often regarded as irritating details for which we have little time nor patience. yet, it is these very details that form bottom lines. like the war of 1812 for example. lost forever, as a result, was the formation of a neutral indian territory proposed to be established in what is ohio, indiana, and michigan.

I have lit a candle and incense for the memory of Tecumseh.

in a way, a gentleman by the name of charles robert sherman did, upon the birth of one of his 11 children in lancaster, ohio in the year 1820, do a form of the same FA. or so i suppose it could be said. the child, a son, would grow up to become the sin qua non union general of the great civil war. known, in that campaign as the "scorcher of earth", it is said he demonstrated great reserve and compassion for man and life even though that man was regarded as enemy. subsequently, under grant as president, he employed similar tactic against all indian nations west of the great river. only, and quite contrary to the time when his enemy was of white skin, this time the scorch included man. and woman. and child, especially included. for he regarded these red skinned creatures not as peoples, not as his fellow man, but, instead, as to be defeated "even to their extermination".

and so it is that i wonder, did, upon this latter action by the child, the white skinned father turn, as they say, in his grave? what is the untold story here? the one that inspired the father to name the child william TECUMSEH sherman? p would like to know!

"...nano-titanium dioxide was damaging or destroying the animals' DNA and chromosomes.

"The degrees of DNA damage and genetic instability that the 32-year-old investigator (molecular biologist Bénédicte Trouiller) documented can be "linked to all the big killers of man, namely cancer, heart disease, neurological disease and aging," says Professor Robert Schiestl, a genetic toxicologist who ran the lab at UCLA's School of Public Health where Trouiller did her research.

"Nano-titanium dioxide is so pervasive that the Environmental Working Group says it has calculated that close to 10,000 over-the-counter products use it in one form or another. Other public health specialists put the number even higher. It's "in everything from medicine capsules and nutritional supplements, to food icing and additives, to skin creams, oils and toothpaste," Schiestl says. He adds that at least 2 million pounds of nanosized titanium dioxide are produced and used in the U.S. each year.

"Food scientists, meanwhile, are almost gleeful over the ability to create nanostructures that can enhance food's flavor, shelf life and appearance -- and to one day potentially use the engineered particles to craft food without ever involving a farm or ranch. "

For me, it is important to remember that truth-telling sometimes involves ugliness and discomfiture, but should in no way be confused with hate.

Shedding light on the abuse suffered by Hollie Grieg, or the victims of pedophile Catholic priests all over the place, the deliberate destruction of America's middle class by the international banker's cartel or the nature and history of the Ashkenazim leaders of Israel who condone and encourage the use of Palestinian children as live targets is not hate speech.

Rather, it is an acknowledgment that these things are wrong, and an expression of hope that exposure might correct the situation.

Why a bunch of online addicts who carry cell phones around and drive in cars every single day are worried about being "chipped" is a mystery to me.

I have a family that is a military surveillance technology expert. I was talking to him about home video monitoring systems for security. He didn't think they were worth the effort to install........ Too easily spoofed.

The chips? Subject to destruction by these:http://www.amazing1.com/emp.htm

Be careful, even a small EMP device can wipe out your computer. Ask any computer tech that forgot to wear his grounding strap.

freeacre said...

Well, it's a big fucking deal to me. I won't have it. The idea that they could pass a mandatory physically invasive thing like that without public debate or input is a loss of liberty that is over the line for me. It is what they do to a herd in a feed lot. If we go along with this, we are no better.

Pangolin said...

Spelling out what I should have said in the first place.....

Most of us are as "good-as" being chipped in the first place with things like drivers licenses and cell phones on us. The coverage is good enough that physically implanting chips is unlikely.

Secondly, TPTB simply don't have the manpower to deal with the data flow. They also don't have the manpower to deal with even a minor social rebellion. East Germany did not fail due to lack of surveillance on it's citizens. They simply could not get the watcher's to care to do their jobs anymore.

Finally this is exactly what I meant when I said that they've decided to "poison all wells." The very real danger of corporate parasitism and futile cycling presented by the "Health Bill" is ignored because people are worried about being chipped.

They don't have to chip us. The 15-30 year-olds who should be screaming about the theft of their futures are at home in front of screens. The dark side rules. Peaceniks and Teabaggers both run protests populated mainly by grey heads.

v'word: rebol, as if we would.....

freeacre said...

Pangolin, that is an astute observation. I agree with you. But, even if I didn't it would be fine because we are free here to disagree. Only have to agree to speak our own truth, which enriches us all.
But, futile gesture or not, I will not have it. I won't pay for it, I won't comply. I don't go to Walmart. I don't have a cell phone. I grow as much of my own food as I can. I don't pay interest to big banks, and I'm sure as hell not going to be chipped. Hell no!

freeacre said...

Wait a minute! Twitmeyer on Rense says that the chip thing in the health care bill is NOT TRUE. I hate going off half cocked (as it were).

Pangolin said...

It's not that the threat of implantable chips isn't worrisome; it is. It's simply that we aren't there yet. The chips also present a problem for the authoritarians. It's harder to be corrupt when you can track the movement of all parties.

Which is why all police interviews with suspects aren't videotaped. Also why skateboarders have helmet cams but cops don't. Why there are loopholes in campaign finance laws that you could sail an aircraft carrier through.

The trick is to be just paranoid enough.....

v'word: paend......two coins, silver

There's that 'hate' speech again.

He may be correct. I checked for 'surveillance', 'RFID', and 'rfid', and found no returns. One of the commenters on the gold site originally linked said the 'devices' referred to were implantable medical devices, such as pacemakers.

Here's a new thoughtful and sobering article from Chris Hedges, via truthdig and Carolyn Baker's site: http://carolynbaker.net/site/content/view/1581/1/ regarding an inexorable drift toward fascism that the liberal elites can thank themselves for by giving the working class the back of their hands all these years.
I've been ranting and rolling my eyes over this type of "liberal" bullshit for years. Like going apeshit and requiring seminars, laws, classes, rules, etc.etc, regarding appropriate and inappropriate words for differing ethnic groups ("Asian" vs. "Oriental" for instance) and yet ignoring that we incarcerate a third of the black men in the country, for one. Or, creating programs that are supposedly to assist the poor, but you have to have a child out of wedlock to qualify for help. Then, you are rewarded for having each additional child with a raise. If you are married, you get no help at all. So, gee whiz, now we have a whole class of "single parents" and damaged children. Thanks a lot. But, it provided jobs for a lot of sociology majors, so what the fuck, eh?

FA: Oh great post! We love it that you're not afraid to speak the truth boldly without sugar coating. And...We don't think "you're off your game"...in fact, this is no game, for your sincerity is real and evidently you must have touched a nerve on that one.

As for the interior deteriating it's clear society here as a whole, as a mass consciousness, has perversely regressed. And you cannot "Rehab" morality, BTW. Hell after those eight years of, "Let's bust it as much as we can get away with while we still can", it's no wonder our infrastructure is so depleted and dysfunctional! The energy grid is definately hurting in a big way and to prove how desparate we truly are, we're going to spend Three Dollars to get 10 cents worth of oil off our coastlines under the guise of creating jobs. When you have to spend more than you're getting back only to prolong your disease there's no chance in hell of making it pay. And the "lights will go out" and come back on and go out again. Yet all that you've brought us in this post reminds us to be in the here and now and locally. What you do in life echos an eternity...that eternity although connected to everyone else on the planet, is yours too. Life is what you make it. We think you've (FA & Murph), been real and making it much much better. It doesn't matter what you do it's how and why you do it. P.S. We can fear what's coming but our fear won't stop any of it. Be it a nuke from across the sea, down the street or the flu. All we can do is voice our anger at the absurdness and madness we humans are toying with. Better to speak up than be quilty of the crime of silence and folding into being a sheep. "...Provision requires that foreign banks not only withhold 30% of all outgoing capital flows (likely remitting the collection promptly back to the US Treasury) but also disclose the full details of non-exempt account-holders to the US and the IRS. And should this provision be deemed illegal by a given foreign nation's domestic laws (think Switzerland), well the foreign financial institution is required to close the account. It's the law..."

My outrage of the day: Federal court upholds the tasering (X3) of woman, seven months pregnant, for refusing to sign a speeding ticket. They call it "pain compliance." For a misdemeanor. Remember when tasers were introduced for "self-defense" of the police? Whatever happened to that? Now, it's OK to just tase people to get them to do whatever they want. Wonder how the fetus felt about that. Thugs and goons. Even worse, the courts who upheld the practice! I'd like to see one of them get tased, to get them to comply with being a human being.

rockpicker said...

Ninth Fucking Circuit Court, if I'm not mistaken! Fuck them. The assholes don't even know the law. Check this out.

http://freedominourtime.blogspot.com/2010/03/causus-belli.html

The Supreme Court has ruled that citizens have the right to resist illegal arrests.

In the case of the pregnant woman, (7 months, BTW,) the 'pigs' had no need to obtain her signature on the ticket, as they had all the information they needed. They had no warrant, and no probable cause to do anything other than serve the ticket.

Message? The courts are protecting the cops, and both are operating above the law.

Hello Rockpicker :-) I had not heard anything yet about this full eclipse you mention. Freeacre e-mailed me recently about an eclipse near Shasta Mt but I thought she said something about it being in May. I expect she will contact you about this and about a possible meeting to view it.

The family and I are currently in San Francisco doing some sightseeing. Got in town today after coming up HWY 1. Started raining hard in early afternoon and it got real cold and windy. Haven't been to San Fran since I was a kid with my folks :-)

Saw that Obama is giving the Thumbs Up for more offshore drilling. Its a pointless and hollow political move which will mean no significant differance in terms of adding to our available energy supply.

On our drive up the coast in the last few days I am reminded of how many dang people there are, consuming untold amounts of resources. Just looking at one city like San Francisco brings to mind the vast quantities of resources that are needed just to keep all ( across the world ) the activities going.

In terms of what is coming our way, it feels like we are Jack and Rose on the stern of the Titanic ( in the movie ) when it was raised straight up in the air. Then its clear the behemouth ship is finally going under and Jack says " This is it ".

Thats where it seems like we are at, waiting and watching for our ship of society to make its final plunge towards the abyss of dark troubled times. But for now, we are in this weird Alice in Wonderland hang time where things have the semblence of normality, while the increasing rumblings of the collapsing supports of our House of Cards society grows ever louder.

Tick, tick, tick we wait for more big shoes to drop, as we expect them to, soon. Still in my life I'm going to continue to move forward in the various ways of goodness that are always there for us to engage in. There are still so many wonderful people and things to be experienced, and this continually feels me with inspiration to see what comes of the new day :-)

aka, ass kissing!

in other news ... it ain't april fool in arizona... On Thursday, (April 1, 2010), members of the House Judiciary
Committee will consider SB 1266, which would criminalize teens who
engage in "sexting," the sending or sharing of nude or semi-nude
photographs via their cell phones or internet technology. While the
ACLU certainly does not condone sexting, pursuing criminal charges
against teens who exercise poor judgment is not the answer.

This bill punishes both the transmission and possession of
electronic images depicting nudity, and carries a class 2
misdemeanor charge, which would allow courts to commit juveniles to
the Arizona Department of Juvenile Corrections until 18 years of
age. This statute punishes children, rather than protecting them
from harm, and will do little to teach them to respect themselves
and others.

the tuscon weekly put it another way... In an effort to find a way to charge juveniles with a crime other than child pornography when they send dirty pics of themselves to their friends, Sen. Jonathan Paton has sponsored SB 1266.

'dirty" pictures eh? oh ya, that'll stop it real quick.. p

FA - Hey this is a little weird: When referring to the "lights going out" posted yesterday, we just meant, sometime in the future. Of course it's inevitable with our country's failing energy grid that it will have some major brown outs across the U.S. in the near future, based on MCR's predictions which are based on facts of other's scientific research. I think it was around 2011 through 2015 that was suppose to be the huge drop off in the energy grid chart. But last night...we had this:

Power outage hits 250,000 around county By Debbi Baker, UNION-TRIBUNE STAFF WRITER, Thursday, April 1, 2010 at 8:31 a.m.
SAN DIEGO — A massive power outage affected more than a quarter million people throughout the county and parts of Orange County overnight. The CA Independent System Operator asked the utility company to curtail 310 megawatts of power due to a transmission emergency, SDG&E spokeswoman Jennifer Ramp said. The nature of the emergency was not disclosed, Ramp said. The power was shut down electronically at 17 substations about 12:30 a.m. and was restored about 30 to 40 minutes later, Ramp said. More than 250,000 customers all over the county as well as the southern portion of Orange County were affected, the spokeswoman said.

We weren't affected by the outage but I thought it was odd.

I have yet to email you back about Thunderbolt(s)? of the Gods, I am terrible at answering emails, but will do so. It is such a mind expanding subject, I am captured.

It is interesting that you write about this as I am extricating myself from the hate I have carried for so long. My anger is carried like a torch from childhood, and it is only now that I understand what it does to one.

Nothing is gained except the shattering of ones self. I am not pandering when I say this. It is truly the rest of my life's mission to look for the obvious beauty of all that surrounds me.

What was done to one in the past is no excuse for its continuance in the present.

One day I was walking down the street, it was gray and overcast, as I looked to the side of me I saw a garden of flowers whose colors overwhelmed me, filled me with their beauty. That would be the equivalency of what I am trying to say about my real choice of direction towards the light.

There is, today, so much hate, and evil in the world. Propaganda polarizes us, lies fill us with fear. None of us escape it, but the knowledge of its purpose takes its power away. The potential we have is so great and we sell it cheaply, never giving it a chance to blossom when we become in thrall to this lie.

One other thought. I have been reading a bit about what can be described as the dark side of ourselves and how it manifests itself in the world if it is not integrated and accepted as part of who you are. Projection, pointing fingers is a good example. The Pall cast across our nation by the psychopathology of people like george bush, or others like him would be an example of just how horrific it can get when somebody of that ilk has power. I think these things are part of the driving force of this hate and divisiveness.

We are living in the Kali Yuga age of materialistic greed, at great distance from the godhead that dwells within and without, or however you look at that, atheists welcome. We are living at a time of ever increasing novelty a la Terrence Mckenna. We are living at a time when the solar system as a whole is heating up, and it has been said that in this time people will tend to go unstable.

Just thoughts inspired by your post and thanks for that.

Told 'em nothing can be seriously planned that doesn't take into account resource depletion, etc. And you'll have to keep us posted as to what the hell happened with the the electricity in your area. Hackers, maybe? Or just deterioration. Who knows? Somethings not right. Did you ever watch, "Live Free and Die Hard" with Bruce Willis? GREAT MOVIE!! We watch it regularly. All about a hacker Fire Sale where they bring down the grid and take over the media, etc. Heightens one's awareness of the Total Information Surveillance we are living with. I don't think it was a coincidence that Pres. Obama just declared that the autos have to get better mileage and that we can drill off the East Coast. Maybe he read Rupperts latest book. Hope so.

on hate... been meaning to post this quote for whatever wisdom, guidance, or understanding may be gleaned...

"...it is not wrong to hate that which hates you. true response is you cannot love that which hates you. for example, some spirits may express hatred for (you) and (you) may feel like (their) old charge is moving and coming (in)to a loving place. other apirits may express hatred toward (you) and (you) may feel like it isn't going anyplace. (you) may want to move them back and let them live out their hatred for (you) where it is not going to affect (you). it does not always work to say that becasue (someone, i.e., you) allowed some to move their hatred near (them/you), its only fair to allow others to do it. what may bring understanding in some situations may bring only guilt in others.

"no question about it, this is very tricky ground to try to walk on. No matter how worded, it is possible to corrupt it into denial and guilt. this is why you must not make a rule of anything, but instead allow your true feelings. if you are too guilty to allow your true feelings, you must not judge the guilt to be wrong. you must allow the guilt to hold you back until you have worked with your own vibration enough to alter the reflection you would otherwise receive." ... earth spell - the loss of consciousness on earth, p 204.

"The War Prayer", By Mark Twain:

It was a time of great exulting and excitement. The country was up in arms, the war was on, in every breast burned the holy fire of patriotism; the drums were beating, the bands playing, the toy pistols popping, the bunched firecrackers hissing and sputtering; on every hand and far down the receding and fading spread of roofs and balconies a fluttering wilderness of flags flashed in the sun; daily the young volunteers marched down the wide avenue gay and fine in their new uniforms, the proud fathers and mothers and sisters and sweethearts cheering them with voices choked with happy emotion as they swung by; nightly the packed mass meetings listened, panting, to patriot oratory which stirred the deepest depths of their hearts, and which they interrupted at briefest intervals with cyclones of applause, the tears running down their cheeks the while; in the churches the pastors preached devotion to flag and country, and invoked the God of Battles, beseeching His aid in our good cause in outpourings of fervid eloquence which moved every listener. It was indeed a glad and gracious time, and the half dozen rash spirits that ventured to disapprove of the war and cast doubt upon its righteousness straight way got such a stern and angry warning that for their personal safety's sake they quickly shrank out of sight and offended no more in that way.

Sunday morning came – next day the battalions would leave for the front; the church was filled; the volunteers were there, their young faces alight with martial dreams – visions of the stern advance, the gathering momentum, the rushing charge, the flashing sabers, the flight of the foe, the tumult, the enveloping smoke, the fierce pursuit, the surrender! – then home from the war, bronzed heroes, welcomed, adored, submerged in golden seas of glory! With the volunteers sat their dear ones, proud, happy, and envied by the neighbors and friends who had no sons and brothers to send forth to the field of honor, there to win for the flag, or failing, die the noblest of noble deaths. The service proceeded; a war chapter from the Old Testament was read; the first prayer was said; it was followed by an organ burst that shook the building, and with one impulse the house rose, with glowing eyes and beating hearts, and poured out that tremendous invocation:
"God the all-terrible! Thou who ordainest, Thunder thy clarion and lightning thy sword!"

Then came the "long" prayer. None could remember the like of it for passionate pleading and moving and beautiful language. The burden of its supplication was, that an ever-merciful and benignant Father of us all would watch over our noble young soldiers, and aid, comfort, and encourage them in their patriotic work; bless them, shield them in the day of battle and the hour of peril, bear them in His mighty hand, make them strong and confident, invincible in the bloody onset; help them to crush the foe, grant to them and to their flag and country imperishable honor and glory –

An aged stranger entered and moved with slow and noiseless step up the main aisle, his eyes fixed upon the minister, his long body clothed in a robe that reached to his feet, his head bare, his white hair descending in a frothy cataract to his shoulders, his seamy face unnaturally pale, pale even to ghastliness. With all eyes following and wondering, he made his silent way; without pausing, he ascended to the preacher's side and stood there, waiting. With shut lids the preacher, unconscious of his presence, continued his moving prayer, and at last finished it with the words, uttered in fervent appeal, "Bless our arms, grant us victory, O Lord our God, Father and Protector of our land and flag!"

Anonymous said...

The stranger touched his arm, motioned him to step aside – which the startled minister did – and took his place. During some moments he surveyed the spellbound audience with solemn eyes, in which burned an uncanny light; then in a deep voice he said:

"I come from the Throne – bearing a message from Almighty God!" The words smote the house with a shock; if the stranger perceived it he gave no attention. "He has heard the prayer of His servant your shepherd, and will grant it if such be your desire after I, His messenger, shall have explained to you its import – that is to say, its full import. For it is like unto many of the prayers of men, in that it asks for more than he who utters it is aware of – except he pause and think.

"God's servant and yours has prayed his prayer. Has he paused and taken thought? Is it one prayer? No, it is two – one uttered, the other not. Both have reached the ear of Him Who heareth all supplications, the spoken and the unspoken. Ponder this – keep it in mind. If you would beseech a blessing upon yourself, beware! lest without intent you invoke a curse upon a neighbor at the same time. If you pray for the blessing of rain upon your crop which needs it, by that act you are possibly praying for a curse upon some neighbor's crop which may not need rain and can be injured by it.

"You have heard your servant's prayer – the uttered part of it. I am commissioned of God to put into words the other part of it – that part which the pastor – and also you in your hearts – fervently prayed silently. And ignorantly and unthinkingly? God grant that it was so! You heard these words: 'Grant us victory, O Lord our God!' That is sufficient. The whole of the uttered prayer is compact into those pregnant words. Elaborations were not necessary. When you have prayed for victory you have prayed for many unmentioned results which follow victory – must follow it, cannot help but follow it. Upon the listening spirit of God the Father fell also the unspoken part of the prayer. He commandeth me to put it into words. Listen!

"O Lord our Father, our young patriots, idols of our hearts, go forth to battle – be Thou near them! With them – in spirit – we also go forth from the sweet peace of our beloved firesides to smite the foe. O Lord our God, help us to tear their soldiers to bloody shreds with our shells; help us to cover their smiling fields with the pale forms of their patriot dead; help us to drown the thunder of the guns with shrieks of their wounded, writhing in pain; help us to lay waste their humble homes with hurricanes of fire; help us to wring the hearts of their unoffending widows with unavailing grief; help us to turn them out roofless with their little children to wander unfriended the wastes of their desolated land in rags and hunger and thirst, sports of the sun flames of summer and the icy winds of winter, broken in spirit, worn with travail, imploring Thee for the refuge of the grave and denied it – for our sakes who adore Thee, Lord, blast their hopes, blight their lives, protract their bitter pilgrimage, make heavy their steps, water their way with tears, stain the white snow with the blood of their wounded feet! We ask it, in the spirit of love, of Him Who is the Source of Love, and Who is the ever-faithful refuge and friend of all that are sore beset and seek His aid with humble and contrite hearts. Amen."
[After a pause.] "Ye have prayed it; if ye still desire it, speak! The messenger of the Most High waits."

It was believed afterward that the man was a lunatic, because there was no sense in what he said.

This is from Stoney 13. I had to post as anonymous as that Blogspot has gone haywire. (AGAIN!) *sigh*

" We have massive amounts of subterrean water comming out of nowhere, we are flooding in some areas, We have a serious amount of wells overflowing and some so many new springs of subterrean water comming out from the middle of nowhere, Some of them were born in the middle of the urban area and continue to give out huge amounts of natural and pristine water, but they have become a problem in the urban area making vehicle traffic even more difficult.

"We have a new geyser being born in the middle of a Tomato Field and some ranch houses near guadalupe victoria and it already burned all the crops there.

"Even though i must say i am not an UFO fan....We have had serious amount of UFO's here after the quake, actually i saw two myself right after the quake when the power went off, we were outside with candle light and you could see the whole normally-polluted urban sky now being clear and natural."

oh my... alert just came across... 7.8 in sumatra just went off.

got an email from e-radio hostess maria heller. its a pass-it-on piece apparently from the thule foundation blaming the area geothermal generating plant for triggering the 7.2 because they pump millions of gallons of waste sewage into the wells under high pressure. thats ccertainly in contrast from the "pristine" water reported by the local. or so i would suppose. shit in generally amounts to shit out without microrganisms to 'transform'. but then, maybe thats the case. the email is copied in part 2...

wv... relly. really!

Subject: BAJA EARTHQUAKE

IDIOTS CAUSE EARTHQUAKE
EPICENTER OF BAJA EARTHQUAKE CENTERED AT SEMPRA'S CERRO PRIETA
GEOTHERMAL ELECTRIC GENERATING PLANT IN BAJA
where they have drilled over 150 geothermal wells, some of them over 3
miles deep, into which they pump millions of gallons of waste sewage
treatment plant water at HIGH PRESSURE. they are responsible for these
earthquakes.
everyone knows if you pump liquid down a well hole at high pressure, you
cause earthquakes.

they are suppressing the information now. you just need the latitude and
longitude of the two places,, epicenter of 7.2 quake, location of
geothermal field of the cerro prieta geothermal electric generating
station, 32.128N by 115.303W.

freeacre,
That is a great piece, and points out why I have become a political and social dropout over the last ?? years. I don't even watch the news any more, not only because it isn't really news, but moreso because it simply makes me ill and a not very nice person. But, I have missed you guys. It looks as if you are doing well here, and that some of the old crowd is still around. I've lost all email addresses, etc through a couple of moves so haven't been able to contact anyone. I hope all is as well with everyone, or at least as well as is possible these days. I plan to begin dropping in and paying attention to this site and this site only, because I know you guys and appreciate where you are coming from. Again, great piece and right on target. Take care,
Cyclone

I am trying to find myself.
Have you seen me anywhere?

WOW! It works! I'll celebrate with one of those smug-ass Japanese emoticons! ^_^ Damn! I can do that shit!

Cyclone! Good to hear from you! I've learned to just laugh at all the absurdity of the political scene. That's all you can do! Otherwise you start trying to figure it out, and it always ends up with the guys in the white clothes with their nets, and dart guns.

The Republicans are full of shit, The Democrats are all playing different songs in the same band, and Obama is playing basketball! For the life of me, I can't figure out how this is supposed to be good for the nation!

The crazy bank scenario, the housing bubble going POP. and taking half of the capital in the United States with it, predatory lending, all the shit we all saw coming. Bush and the GOP wrung the lifeblood out of this country, and have the temerity to form up these Tea Parties, and bitch!

Right now, I've got a pretty good buzz, and that always helps!

Oh yea! Duke won the NCAA. They won the fucking NCAA championship!
You'd thing that there is just no way that a just and loving God would allow such a travesty to take place! But, there it is!

rp,
I see that you have not lost your wonderful way with words that only you can manufacture. It is great to read your stuff again. I still have one of your pieces taped to a bookshelf and read it on occasion. Oh, the memories!

And Stoney,
Great to hear your voice again as well. You are of course correct with what you say. I am amazed that people will do what is absolutely against their individual best interests simply to stay on one side or the other, but I guess the training has stuck. The pissing match between the dems and repugs has reached a level not seen since the "back of the bus days" and these tea party freaks are making this a very dangerous environment. I guess the Klan is becoming the majority. But, I'm a dropout. I will never again vote in a national election, and the level of animosity on the local level has become so bad around here that I may well be out of that too. All I can say these days is, "Whatever."
Yes, the Bulldogs gave Duke all they could handle. A school of 4300 right in the middle of Indy reaching the national championship game is astonishing to all but those of us who have watched them daily over the last 10 years or so. But, they can flat out play. You haven't heard the last of the Dawgs.
Hey murph/freeacre, or anyone else for that matter give me a shout if you are so inclined. I would write you but I lost all contact information when my computer blew up a couple of years ago. I can be reached at (my name)50@indy.rr.com. Thanks for building such a cool place to hang out,

Cyclone

Hey Cyclone!! We've tried to reach you as well. Our e-mail address is at the end of the "About Me" section on the face page of this site. Always has been (just in case you lose it again). We'll attempt to get ahold of you. Our computer has been down since Friday and we have been feeling horribly out of touch. Anyway, great to hear from you. Please read some of the archives. Much progress to report, and the cyber tribe has grown and yet we still all keep that same sense of honesty and integrity. So cool. Hope you and yours are all well.

Cyclone,

Mine's still stoney13@hotmail.com. Everybody from the NSA, to the DOT has it anyway, so it's nothing to sweat posting it here!

Last week Joe Arpaio sent me an invitation to join the Sheriff's Association. I sent him an invitation to join LEAP. He sent me back an invitation to take a leap!

Speaking of The Heat! Every body will also be pleased to know that Hazel totally snapped on two cops last week, making all sorts of questionable statements about their eating habits, parentage, and sexual preferences.

Since making false statements to a LEO is an arrestable offense, and she didn't get arrested, I can only surmise, that the statements made, while indeed questionable, and unsupported by evidence, are factual in nature!

Wow,Cyclone!
So great to see you back! I used to enjoy your posts on Alternet before you even started "Cyclone's Real Deal" (which I consider to be a key part of my education. My husband still says that if he'd paid more attention to the info I gave him from your blog we wouldn't be in the mess we're in now, financially. Ha.) Anyway, I'm one of the old ones still here, even though I never have much to contribute to the campfire beyond my unstated admiration of Freeacre and Murph (and others) for their incredibly insightful observations. I'm so grateful to them for keeping things going when you left. I'll be looking forward to your occasional comments.
