WHAT AILS US?
I am going to presume that most of you that read this blog get or seek out, on a periodic basis, blurbs and videos advocating the newest breakthrough in energy technology. The latest one I got is from the web site “Forbidden knowledge” concerning the Keshe foundation touting its development on plasma energy technology and of course makes the claim that it is a panacea for all that ails the world.
I am going to assume that most of the folks that read this blog know that I am quite disdainful of claims for a single solution to the problems that face this planet. I take the stance that the problems are much more far reaching than finding a new cheap energy source.
Lets take a look at some of those problems;
1. History shows that as available energy increases, so too does population of humans increase. As human populations increase, so too does the demand of peripheral resources that may or may not depend on cheap energy. Cheap energy also increases the production of waste from consumption and that waste may or may not be convertible, by the increase in cheap available energy, to something usable.
Also, those folks that advocate more and better cheap energy need to study up on Jevons Paradox.
Historically, it appears that the only way to control or decrease human population is by scarcity in its extreme (ie, starvation and disease) or governmental decrees and punishment for producing more humans, (as in China). Neither of which appear particularly desirable to me and so far not very successful.
While the debate and disagreements rage over the population density of this world go on, and various schemes are propagated for decreasing world population, we still are not in agreement over just how much naturally occurring resources are available for what standard of living by how many people regardless of the energy sources.
2. Methods of producing cheap energy all appear to me to be based on availability of resources to produce that energy. So, the availability of resources to produce that energy has to be taken into account, which I have never seen a study that actually looks at this in detail. There have been a few studies on that area for wind and sun energy, which indicate that the energy return is a loser for very large-scale operations. I have seen no data yet for the more esoteric energy conversions like the plasma or electromagnetic devises or the newer ideas on nuclear energy.
3. All of these cheap energy sources as a substitute for hydrocarbons extracted from the planet are touted as being able to maintain a western type of life style of heavy consumption. It seems to be based on the fear that that the western civilization standard of living is in peril due to energy shortage and that is an intolerable situation. Our way of life is non negotiable. Well, universe may have the last word on this point of view.
4. None of these cheap energy schemes take into account the attitudes and agendas of the worlds elites that are currently in control of almost everything. These panacea energy sources take for granted that the governments of the world (including the increasing authority of the UN) and the elites have the world’s population well being foremost in their minds. If you have any doubts about the elites attitudes about this, study up on agenda 21, ICLEI, The Earth Charter, The International Covenant on Environment and Development, the Georgia Guidstones and the new world order (NWO) and all the other related documents you can find. These are extensive documents and will consume much time to understand the total agenda they have in mind. My conclusion from these documents is that there will be a push to eliminate most of the “useless eaters” from the planet. The word “useless” of course pertains to all of those folks that do not contribute to the well being of the elites.
In short, it sure appears to me that a new technology of cheap energy will not solve much of the dire problems that ails’ the world.
All of our modern living in western societies circles around the idea of convenience of which energy is the biggest factor. Most folks simply cannot wrap their minds around the idea that convenience is not the greatest influence on happiness in life, satisfaction with ones life, or whatever we want to include in spiritual development. These values do not depend on how many toys we can purchase with our slave labor, although the propaganda, advertising and new age ideas certainly seem to advocate it. Rockpicker put up a link on the last posting that talks about this; http://www.brasschecktv.com/videos/solutions-1/smile-or-die-the-perils-of-positive-thinking-.html
None of this takes into account wide spread world wide calamities, such as; Drastic increase in volcanism, flooding, sea levels rising, more and larger earth quakes, hits from the sun, bombardment of rocks from space, more subtle earth changes or even the big human induced horror, nuclear war. Any of this stuff that goes extreme will completely negate whatever form of energy we are using when it happens. We have evidence from the far past that such extremes have happened before, no reason to assume it won’t happen again.
Charles H. Smith (oftwominds.com) has been talking extensively about economic and social systems and how they are being pushed into more intense fragility. Instead of our leaders (read idiot elites) encouraging more flexibility in our systems, they are deliberately introducing more fragility into our social and financial systems for very self-serving agendas. What this means is that it will take a relatively very small event to totally collapse just about everything in our overly complex systems we depend on because we have no feedback systems left to limit this fragility and complexity. The results of this increase in complexity and fragility is the concentration of resources and wealth into a very small amount of the population, like 10%, and this is at the expense of everyone else.
I happen to agree with Charles on these issues. It appears over historical time that the same forces within civilizations always produce the same results, that is, the complexity and concentration of wealth and resources into fewer hands at the expense of the general population, and finally the collapse of the system itself. Naturally, the elites of the time persevere to try again at a later time in another civilization and through generations of handed down power structures alter their agendas in the hope of finally getting the whole enchilada without the consequences. This time around in the western countries dominated by the predatory capitalistic economic system have altered their strategy again. Instead of grabbing everything by brute force and intimidation, they induce populations to give it all to them voluntarily. We can point to the events and persons that were chiefly instrumental in all of this. But, in the final analysis, it was the populations that gave in to the elite’s demands.
Changing these broad historic cycles to something different will take a general population attitude change. God knows, we have a bunch of folks that are advocating that as an eminent and foregone happening sometime in the future (the New Agers for one). Which means that humans on a vast scale will give up their impulses that are derived from our genes that was necessary for survival in the past. In our historical past, it appears that greed, elite hierarchy, manipulation and exploitation has always been with us, some societies with more of less of those traits. The most common claim is that outside forces will cause the change. Now how likely is that? If you want a mental exercise to work on, picture what a society would look like if none of that existed in human interactions. Idealists from the past up to modern times have written extensively on what it would look like and it never happens. If a god of some sort indeed created us, I assert that he fucked up righteously. The centuries of the idea that we have free will and can do different is an idle and straw man argument in my opinion. Indeed, it appears to me that it will take some kind of outside intervention to change these human traits into something more benign.
Don’t hold your breath.

I thought there was a movie made back in the late 60's about several members of TPTB, sitting around contemplating what to do with Russia and China. That if Russia and China were to abandoned Communism and embraced Capitalism, open their markets to the West, etc., the Earth's resources would be totally depleted in less than 50 years. After more deliberation, they decided that they should do everything they can to prevent these countries from evolving to a capitalist system. Keep the Cold War hoax going forever.
Last weekend my brother-in-law came over for burgers and Sunday Night football and when the game got boring the conversation touched on energy. My brother-in-law is cool and very smart, but he's also very naive. He said that there's got to be someone, somewhere who is about to show the world a new form of energy -another form of cheap energy so we can continue doing what we're doing. I countered with, yes, there might be, but do we really want everything to continue like it is (Kunstler's "Happy Motoring")? I told him that the reason we have 7 billion people on the planet using up its finite resource is because of cheap energy. If we find another form of cheap energy, the world's population will continue to increase and everyone will be vying for a piece of the pie -that's getting smaller and smaller.
Being a Christian, I don't think he wanted to talk about population control and other non-Christian things with an infidel so the conversation went back to the boring football game.
I think most people are like this -they don't want to think about bad things. Only happy-happy, Oprah-happy-books talk is allowed and anyone bringing up "doomage" (like me) is someone to ignore. They don't see or don't want to see that there is anything wrong with we're doing at the present time. What's the phrase I heard -"deal with reality, or reality will deal with you."
Waiting for that killer asteroid, man -OR maybe, someone somewhere is gonna do some Jurassic Park stuff and bring back DINO's! So, if "Life finds a way" and more and more dinos would mean more and more people becoming lunch and... ooohh, Jurassic Park IV: Revenge of T-Rex" I love it!
Doncha wish life would imitate art a bit more often?
Ok, whatever -

I wish you could remember the name of that movie. I'd like to watch it. Anybody else know the title?
Yeah, that paradox thing that links energy to over-consumption of the resources of the earth requires a person to think deeper into a subject than just the first layer. "Unintended consequences" as the Merphenator has often said. Because that would lead to unhappy thoughts. You are so right on.
.... "Because if you have unhappy thoughts", the logic goes, "then you'll make bad stuff happen."
When the message went there, that's when I took a break from the New Age Movement. I think it is important to be aware of what is going on and to respond to it with all you've got. Not be delusional.
But, then one person's delusion may be another's meat and potatoes. Depends on what chakra they live on, I guess.
Anyway, I really like your new vision of doom. Some ANONYMOUS biologists deploying a bunch of formerly pre-historic man-eaters on Wall Street! That'd be a great visual! It would be all over YouTube.
Oh, and I'll be gone for a couple of days. I am going with a woman friend to the coast. Just for fun. Hope the coastal event doesn't decide to jump off this weekend.
Love ya, Guys
Randy,
Chuckled a bit over your comment. In discussion like you described, instead of getting into the population thing, just mention Jevons Paradox. With almost no exception, the response will be "huh?" If you want a very brief discussion of what it is, go to; Arcdruid to April 2 2008, Net Energy & Jevons Paradox.
Now, just to be fair, there are folks that have written that the Jevons Pardox is bull shit, doesn't work that way. I've read several of these debunkers and got to admit that their arguments seem convoluted to me and avoid the concept of human nature and cost of energy. Seems to me that historically the paradox is a working thesis and not so much a synthesis of an abstract system we call economics.
Anyway, have fun with that one.
Murph; I think a "general population attitude change" is about to become evident, with the results of the coming election. At least, I hope so.
Man-on-the-street interviews not withstanding, my feeling is that most diligent voters know the country has taken a serious wrong turn towards totalitarianism, be it Marxist or fascist, and, deep down, neither of the major candidates present any real hope.
The downturn in the economy over the last four years has done much to reorder people's priorities. As an example, the one grocery store in my little town has a bulletin board out front, on which folks post notices of coming events, pictures of lost pets, auction bills, etc. Photos of purebred pups for sale, for hundreds of dollars, have been replaced by hand-written notes advertising four-wheelers, tools, guns and vehicles for parts.
Clearly, times are tough, and everything is for sale. Summer is over, tourism was down and the growing season was not so good. We're all looking at a protracted winter of discontent.
Certainly, most of us who frequent these pages know the constitution is in ruins, and the banks are in charge. We know 9/11 was a major false flag, and we know government, regardless who is elected, is coming for us. Why else purchase 1.6 billion rounds of hollow-point ammunition? Why the coffin liners? The FEMA camps? The executive orders nationalizing everything and declaring preppers "terrorists?"
My cat comes in cold from the damp night and settles herself in a ball before the computer screen. She doesn't care about the politics of greed. She tends to her immediate needs. So must we all.
A change is occurring, in our consciousness. I think millions across the planet are beginning to understand the depths of the depravity, the gutter of moral bankruptcy from which the elites allude to function.
Of course, Universe could intervene, and render political solutions to over-population and resource scarcity moot. But there is little doubt the elites have busied themselves planning "a great culling" as a contingency agenda. In case the super wave's a fizzle?
RP,
I do pretty much agree with your observations. For myself, I think there are alternate conclusions to the observations, and they make some sense to me.
If the Govt/PTB knew with surety that there was some big natural catastrophe coming our way and they didn't want the populace to panic and go ape shit, they would sure as hell not advertise it. When it became obvious, they would feel obligated to stop bloodshed and chaos if they could, and there would be mass deaths, displaced populations and a whole bunch of folks clamoring for the govt to do something. Well, they would do something and some would be trying to make money from it, and some would push for personal power. I don't think that they would be inclined to sit on their thumbs and let Rome burn to the ground. Can't let at good crisis go to waste you know.
I don't know man, we currently do not seem to have any conclusions with 100% surety. There is so much black opps going on, agent provocateurs, propaganda, and it all seems to be pointed to some kind of preparation for something. We can have fun speculating about what is being prepared for. I like to do it. And we just keep on gathering information hoping we understand the implications and the connected dots. Besides, gives us the satisfaction of having something to be really pissed of about.
I talk to folks around here, read stuff on the internet, and got to admit that an attitude change seems to be a pretty small minority of the population. I hear and read about a huge amount of hard line political ideology out there. They simply cannot see the forest for the trees, or maybe its the trees for the forest. These folks with a pretty wide variety of ideologies do not seem to be prepared to recognize what they are experiencing for what it is at all. Some of these ideologues will die defending their paradigm and ideology.
I sincerely hope for a generalized attitude change, but sure looks to me that they have to be hit between the eyes with a 2x4 before you can get their attention on what is in front of them. A lot of these folks would have severe trauma over seeing something they can't believe is true but sure enough appears to be.
Went to a meeting the other night, big meeting, important one. Of a total area population (around 16,000) affected by this meeting, about 60 showed up. It was a resounding success. It had been heavily advertised for over a month in all the papers, on radio, on TV, in public bulletin boards and a lot of talk. An older guy got all huffy and said he had no idea of what was going on and was told by someone else about the meeting and wanted to know why, since Obama and Romney have called him on the phone why the county hadn't made the effort to call him on the phone whenever there was a meeting. These folks vote too.
Regarding the OP, I disagree with the causes, I lean more towards this whole state of affairs being manufactured. I think the overpopulation thing, the energy thing, and the climate crisis thing, are all PTB memes.
Birth rates are down below replacement rate in all the "consumer" countries, population only goes up because of immigration, which is also planned, see the CIA document on global demographics.
As an observation of Nature, things breed more when under stress, plants and animals, not when they're "comfy".
regarding energy, I think you're under researched Murph, and still diverted by the likes of MCR who I now consider not just deluded, but a total disinfo agent. Here's something to think about. Remember Kuwait? I spoke to a friend of mine who was one of the first civi's into Kuwait after Sadam left, he said the burning oil fields were littered with Iraqi special forces bodies, he said it was clear they had been defending the oil fields, whoever took them out started the oil fires. Price of oil is x4 since then. We could also talk about capped US fields, lack of exploration for decades etc.
here's a start on some energy research for you...

GD,
Perhaps I am under researched on the zero pt energy concept. I don't know what level I would have to be at to not be under researched. I would presume that point would be reached when I embrace it in full?
I want you to know that I have seen a change in MCR over the years and hardly ever read his stuff any more. So I got to admit that I really don't know where some of his stances are anymore.
I agree that there is strong argument for all that you mention being manufactured by the PTB. Maybe, maybe not. I reckon it has to do with who you believe on any subject that you are not directly involved with.
As for the amount of oil and gas that is available in U.S. fields, I do try and keep up to some extent with data on this subject. Appears to me again that it depends on who you believe and their facts and figures they present since none of us seem to be directly involved in it. On a personal level it appears to me that continued extraction of hydrocarbon energy is a dead end road when projected into the future. Basing the world on the primary energy source of electricity doesn't appear to me to be practical either. Off the top, I do think we haven't the time to make the change over nor the resources (money mostly) to do it. Again, we shall see.
Taken as a whole, your present and past comments indicate to me that you are a firm believer that technology is the savior of mankind. I do not personally buy into that argument. However it is ok with me for anyone to take that position. I reckon that we will find out in time if it is so or not.
I listened to that link you supplied. Interesting. It appears that the technology is not real new at all. Be interesting to see how it is developed if at all. Please allow me to be a bit skeptical about it until it shows itself as realistically scaled up and applied and not just experiments.
Your statement concerning population growth I find interesting. Indeed, it appears that the developed areas of the globe have had a lowering of birth rates. I have read lots of commentaries and explanations for this and the reasons do not necessarily contain the concept of "being comfy" as the reason. Historically, there does seem to be a direct correlation between availability of energy and population increases. I would assert that the exponential world increase in population was not just due to poverty. You can't have a survivability of population without the increase in available energy to sustain it, and it has to do with all levels of a society, not just ones utilizing advanced technology. Hell man, lowered birth rates can also be attributed to lower fertility too. Does that appear to be true? Hell yes according to what I have been reading. And, being "comfy" does not explain the huge families that are in the upper income brackets that are indeed "comfy".
Anyway, I think there is far more to all of this than our knowledge can be assured of.
RP,
Combine that link with "War is a Racket" by general Butler.
Murph: I'm not a "firm believer that technology is the savior of mankind" at all, I agree were fucked, disagree on causes, it's a managed depopulation agenda IMO. Oil scarcity is an implemented/managed meme agenda, deepwater was a purposeful act, Kuwait was a purposeful act, ME wars will be also.
We might get a handle on where (civi) Zero point is up to in a couple of weeks http://globalbem.com/conference/ you don't need to "embrace" it to have an opinion, just do some research, the more you look into the subject, the more it appears as if it's been suppressed for decades, lots of suspicious deaths, lots of gatekeeper type action from the "authorities" and orgs pro-porting to finance inventions.
To get a handle on weather it's possible or not, I think you need to research the UFO phenomena, tens of thousands of very credible cases with multiple credible witnesses, another area which has been suppressed for decades. Or read Dr. Judy Woods book, the evidence is pretty obvious when it's pointed out, which is why I've said in the past 911 holds all the keys; a 1700ft building doesn't "collapse" into a pile of rubble 20ft high with a richter scale reading only 2.6, it was clearly turned to dust by an unknown technology.
You could call it a "belief", or you could call it a logical conclusion based on a plethora of evidence. Gd.
I've said in the past 911 holds all the keys; a 1700ft building doesn't "collapse" into a pile of rubble 20ft high with a richter scale reading only 2.6,
bingo! thats always been the smoking gun or should be for anyone above the idiot level. the question remains as to what caused the smoke and who pulled the trigger... p
GD... i'm inclined to agree with you on a contrived PO push. just who and what all was/is behind it is extreemly complicated. historically, power competes with power but can and will unite against a common perceived threat to defend or agress as the case may be. remember when oil laggered in the teen's for years?
then all of a sudden here came PO. if we could quantify the building emotional content involved in that meme and put in on a chart then lay that over a crude chart i think we'd all have an AHA! it was a damned convincing push to sway sentiment. midst all that one was left to mull it all over and try to find ways to understand what were obvious contradictions. one way was to look at the numbers and the basis for those numbers. convoluted as that was it could not be ignored (or shouldn't have been anyway) that data was skewed toward various purposes. ie, to justify investment by 2nd parties as well as playing a significant role in ability to qualify for lease. its part of the way the whole system is set up. yet those are the same numbers used to conclude we were running out of oil.
then there's all kinds of stuff like you noted. i had a business acquaintance who grew up in lousiana and went back for visits regular, worked the fields for 10 years out of high school. we were talking one day and i asked his opinion on the PO movement. he wasn't that familar with it as such so i filled him in a bit. his response to that went something like this: all i can say is we drilled alot of holes. some dry. some wet. some of what hit went on line but a lot of those never went to production. at least not at that time. we capped em and moved on.
me... well joe, could it be something like these houses? i'm familar with respect to where we fit in here during the building phase but thats not the whole pix. i have no idea whats happening after we leave. i have no idea these houses are going out the door riding liers loans unless i make a specific effort to look. worse, i have no idea what's happening with those loans when they get to wall strt unless i make an effort to chase the rabbit. (i'd been telling him this thing was going to implode sooner or later. it took him 3 years to find another job after he - and 62 of a 65 man production team - got layed off). could it be capping was SOP and later a different crew came along to bring em online?
fast forward a few weeks/months...
joe... remember you asking me about those wells? last time i was home i took a drive out to some of those old fields i worked. most of those wells are still capped!
based on that i remember digging down that rabbit hole just to satisfy my curiosity. eventually found a web page buried deep in the back pages of one of the sources i was using. it was an interactive map and if you kept zooming in just like you would on mapquest you could isolate a very small area that would show every well. you could click on any well and get data that would tell you when it was drilled, who owned it, etc, etc. as i recall they fell into three main categories: in production, depleted, and capped. this at the time when crude price was peaking.
it would be misguided to conclude without more details but the map showed there were more capped wells than anything else at the time in that particular area substantiating what my friend was saying. and i scanned a fairly large area of la including all of the area where he is from. granted, total all-time production out of la is a drop in the bucket. but thats a small part of why i've pretty much come down on the side that the only thing peaking is price. and even that's misleading since there probably ain't no ceiling!
murph might be right to say the idea that we have free will is a straw man argument at best. i've become more and more convinced thats exactly what the PO argument has been all along. seriously, i don't know if it started out that way or it was started by well-intentioned good sams and then hijacked by special interests that saw opportunity. we'll likely never know.
forgot to sign that... p
GD,
I also think it is probably true that most of the shit going on is managed. I am a proponent of the concept that we live on a finite planet with a limited amount of resources in relationship to human lifetimes. That is, we are using up resources faster than they are generated.
I also agree with you that concepts on alternative energy sources has been suppressed or ignored. It is also possible that these concepts simply are not scalable if they actually do work. In the end, my opinion about it matters not a whit. That is why I don't spend a lot of time on it.
I realize that I hold opinions on a lot of subjects that fall into the same category, ie it doesn't change anything. If I was a staunch believer in zero point energy, it does nothing to make it so on a mass scale. Hell, a vast majority of folks in this world believe in a god somewhere out there in the heavens but it sure appears to me that that belief hasn't changed one damn thing. Same thing on UFO's. Until I have an honest to god experience with aliens it is a belief system based on second and third hand information.
I agree that the whole 9-11 thing is bogus as hell. Nothing in human experience can account for what happened in the official explanation. Again, that changes nothing. Until a really vast majority of folks take an issue and agree about a view point, nothing will change. At this point in time, what is the likely hood of that happening? To muddy it up a bit, my experience in life indicates that when a vast majority of folks agree on something, it is probably not true and with damned few exceptions.
I am much more concerned with my little corner of this world. Showing folks what can and cannot be done and demonstrating the consequences, positive as well as negative.
I am a firm believer and user of the concept of logic and I try to be consistent in its use. Realizing at the same time that logic is entirely dependent on the accuracy of the information available and there is the statement, "that defies all logic" has some validity. The only infallible source of logic that I am aware of is mathematics, and that is entirely dependent on agreeing with its definitions and constructs. 10 + 10 only equals 20 when you agree on definitions and methodology. Change the agreed numbering base and this is no longer true. Try using base 8 or 64 for common computations.
I am not shortchanging the use of logic, only making a cautionary statement that it does have some limitations.
Hey, Guys, I'm back. It rained most of the trip, but we had a good time. Nice to be with colorful trees and lush ferns and ocean air. Really glad that the 7+ pointer off the coast of Canada didn't create a tsunami. I'd have hated to be used as a floatation devise....

Murph, while espousing overpopulation? It must be crowded in back of Platos cave eh ;) Gd.
GD,
There is a very interesting article today (Monday 10/29)on Charles Smith site oftwominds.com on peak oil. Very direct contradiction to info you talked about. The question comes up again; whose information do we put stock in?
GD,
LOL I think I must be missing the point on your comment; Murph, while espousing overpopulation? It must be crowded in back of Platos cave eh ;) Gd.
What I was talking about in my comment was not in reference to overpopulation, but rather how small communities remain flexible and become a bit more self sustaining.

Yeah, I think the psycho nanny probably did do it. And, what a horrific tragedy. Those beautiful children...
It is a coincidence that the son of one of the men scheduled to testify in the LIBOR hearings is the father of the psycho shooter in the theater massacre a few weeks ago...
Conspiracy that uses psycho weak links to send a message to potential witnesses? I certainly hope not. Was the little kids' dad pivotal in any banking investigations? That would be worse than Don Corleone in The Godfather. It's just 'way over the top.
Got it in the memory bank, though.
Sending good thoughts to p. He and his wife may be out of power. How about you, Bexar? Feel that 7.7 quake? You still wired?
Good grief... I just read the right link that DOES say that he was involved in the $43 trillion bankster law suit! Damn! What's next - drone strikes on wedding parties?

And, we have some friends in New Zealand that might be able to pave our way. Worth a shot, maybe. Have to get my passport renewed ASAP.
Going back to population growth and control... why is it that those who are, say, "comfy" have less or no children and those in more dire straights seem to have loads of offspring? Is it that for those who live a more comfortable lifestyle see that if they have tons of kids, their lives won't be so awesome because kids require tons of money which means they might not be able to afford the BMW, second home and trips to Europe? Is it selfishness? I guess I stand guilty of this. But then, when I question the reasoning for having loads of kids, the response I've gotten is, "I love kids -I WANT more children." So, I wonder who is more selfish? Granted, a lot of the "want" comes from the local culture and around here it comes from The Church -conditioning its memebers to have more children, thus creating more future members and of course, more money.
Anyway, got my new steel tongue drum and figured out why the video camera wasn't working (gotta stop sitting on it, I guess) and posted it on Youtube is anyone is interested. I highly recommend these things.... very meditative and relaxing.

Have you got anything in a pentatonic F? I can't figure why no-one puts a Am on them, I've come down all Spanish on the guitar so I'm looking for something that way in a tongue/pang
Gd :)))
Ha! Yeah, you're right, they do sound similar.
Ore', the maker of the Zagdrum would probably make a drum in F minor/major pentatonic for you. He was really great to work with:

Also, I believe Clint, the maker of Xplosive Percussion drums would make one in that scale also:

Spanish guitar is soooo coool. Used to play guitar and wanted to take it up again, but...
tongue drums are so much easier to play -no talent required, really. You just tap and pretend you know what you're doing.

Randy, your video was great! You play it beautifully. What a wonderful instrument!! Now I want one. Seems like a magic carpet for your mind. I could use that right about now.
Rockpicker - Gotta love Joe. He reminds me of my dad. Can't imagine where I got my heightened sense of discontent...
I've been reading the Archdruid's book, "Apocalypse Not." It's very well written, in my opinion, and the historical references are amazing. He points out how the End Days have been predicted in practically every generation since Zoroastra in all sorts of cultures and ways. He says that the Apocalypse already happened with the fall of the Byzantine Empire, among many other things. Anyway, I think it's worth reading to cultivate a healthy sense of skepticism. I'd hate it if I ended up like a Hale Bot comet Kool Aid drinker.
I'd much rather play the Zag drum. lol
On Benghazi - don't know what to think. Tragic. Hannity is still a dick, though.
Randy: cheers for the links, as you said much more affordable than a pang, you have me convinced! I think I'll be in touch with Zagdrum soon as I decide on the notes :)
For a great Spanish Guitar sound learn this scale, it's not real hard and you will soon get something sounding great, just do 15 mins every day, within 3 months you'll have it sounding great, no talent required (I have none LOL) This "spanish scale" lesson has kept me going for over 3 yrs http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RBO73s_-z4U and if you can learn the simple strum at the end of this beginners lesson, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9AMB4L9PUFI and put it together with the scale in the first one, it'll sound amazing
Gd :))
freeacre; Why would Obama, assuming he was in command, refuse to aid his operatives in Benghazi? Doesn't make sense. What's he to gain?
So, maybe he was not in command? And maybe he can't tell us how not in command he was, because 1). that's too scary to consider, and 2). who would believe the commander in chief was not in command?
Thanks GD, I'll try it. Have to develope the calluses again. Gonna hurt, too.

Obviously, the implication here is that the murders were not committed by the nanny at all, (though the NY Times, paper of record, has already convicted her before getting her side of the story,) but rather, were meant to be a message from the "controllers" of the 'old normal' world most of us, in reality, are still mired in, at least up to our wallets.
Below the VT article, Anna Golinska makes some interesting and astute observations I believe should be considered, as this lawsuit by Spire represents a duplicate complaint, which was originally filed by the Attorney General of the State of New York.
It seems to me, this is exactly the opportunity Occupy Wall Street and the original tea partyers were
hoping for.
Surely the status quo presstitutes will keep the lid on this until the courts have a chance to ignore it and, eventually, dismiss it outright.
I see this as a 'carpe diem' moment in our history; we have everything to gain by publicizing and vocally backing these lawsuits, and everything to lose by allowing them to die. Schneiderman and Spire Law Group are already dead men walking without public support.

lots on hydroponics. since you guys have such a hard time growing stuff due to season, etc, etc maybe hydroponics is a solution? no pun intended! ... p
P,
I did considerable research on using hydroponics to grow food after we first moved here. I concluded that the cost/benefit ratio was lousy, which has nothing to say about its effectiveness, just that I couldn't grow enough to justify the expense of putting a system in and maintaining it. Same thing with solar panels, cost benefit was way to long term to justify pursuing it.
Now this is not to say that I entirely disagree with utilizing either solar panels or hydroponics. If I had enough bucks to do either one, I would, just to make us more self sufficient. However, hydroponics depend heavily on an exterior power source and water supply and unless you can also do some kind of self producing electrical supply, it is very vulnerable to exterior factors, like grid electrical power. Housing all of this is also expensive. I did some "back of the envelope" calculations and figured to do an independent of grid electrical power AND hydroponics would involve an out of pocket investment pretty damn close to $80K. That would be a large enough infrastructure to supply all electricity needed and all food needed. That does not include maintenance, repairs and deterioration of the infrastructure over time.
I would agree that a very small hydroponics set up could be done for much less, but would not supply a years worth of food. I came to the conclusion that it was a loser to even consider it, at least for us. Again, if I was flush with money, hell yes I would do it.
My next comment is on colloidal silver
P,
Read that link you put up. Not sure just what to apply it to as far as colloidal silver is concerned due to my relative ignorance of the details of chemistry.
Yes, I have been experimenting with colloidal silver for about 5 years now. At first, we bought some at the hugely inflated prices at health food outlets and later got into making our own.
After researching for some time on the subject, as well as experimenting on ourselves, came to the conclusions that it had properties that had the potential for big benefits. I will admit that I have just a bit of skepticism concerning all the claims about its use, but, we have been able to substantiate that at least in the short term (not going to live long enough for personal long term statements) to say that in our applications it works great and for very little money investment. The biggest investment is of course the 99.99% pure silver but we are making the stuff in quart batches for less than a dollar. If I could justify the $250-$300 I would have what we make analyzed in a lab to find out exactly what I am producing. That would include particle size and concentration and any contaminants.
My conclusion is that it has enough benefits to justify its home mfg and use.
P,
I have read all the cautionary information on colloidal silver I can find including your links. It has some validity. However, I notice in the literature that they site no deaths from its use, and cite only the blue pallor of the skin as a detrimental aspect of its use. I also noted some flat out bad information in them, namely the use of silver as an antibacterial. If this was true then hospitals would be banned from using silver compounds on burn victims to prevent skin surface infections, which is commonly used, according to medical literature. I do agree that there are some really excessive claims made for encouraging its use and those claims should be restricted. It is not a panacea for everything that ails us, but it does have some benefits from my own testimony tested over time.
If they're so proud of 'em, let them label 'em.
http://www.therealfoodchannel.com/videos/gmos-genetically-modified-food-1/vote-yes-to-your-right-to-know.html
murph... thx for the analysis. i'm ignorant on both colloidal and hydroponics. and most everything involved in the sciences blows my fuses. got another field trip planned to look at an operation some of the family has set up recently. don't know fer sur at this point but my guess would be its on a shoestring. will let you know if i see anything worth passing on... p
I got a good long tour of a hydromponic farm in Florida a few years ago and I was very impressed with the whole operation. It was only 3 or so acreas, but I was told that it produced as much as 12 acres of normal Florida land. Power and water wasn't that much of a factor with hyroponics in Florida -they had solar pannels and collected rain water and I was told that the system used about a third of the water used in a normal farm/acrage. In other areas, water and power would be a problem AND, one other problem I think is the chemicals -or the nutrients that that must be added to the system all the time. It seemed like you had to BUY a bunch of this stuff that cost big bucks AND, just like power and water, will it always be available?
I'd rather figure out a way to get my soil up to snuff -naturally with composting, etc.
-Randy
For all you food growers out there, here is an interesting article on wood chips. Seems that this research was conducted back in the seventies. This is similar to what Paul Gautschi uses up in Sequim, Wa.
We visited his place and it is amazing what is taking place there as far as food production, fruit trees and the soil.
There are now others popping up who have been using chips for several years and having very good results.
When I planted my garlic last week, as I pulled the wood chips back, the bed was loaded with worms and mycelium was beginning to form. Haven't seen this many worms in my beds except in the compost bins.

Woodchip - can't get enough of the stuff, we encourage tree surgeons firms to tip it here, plus I have an 8" PTO driven chipper for the tractor, we grow fast growing willow biomass species (Bowles Hybrid) specifically for chipping to improve soil structure/humus, I wouldn't dig it in at all, but 6" on top of the soil improves it no end! Well worth researching for those who can get access to lots of it, I've put down over 30 tons of the stuff this year, could easily have used double that if I'd had it! Gd

Bexar and GD,
Whenever I read stuff concerning soil fertility I immediately start looking for how I can apply it to our food crops.
For that link you put put up about wood chips, I was let down, it seems to only work with varieties of hard wood of which can hardly be found in our area. So I did a search of how to or ability to utilize evergreen (pine tree) scrap material and couldn't find anything useful at all. Anybody out there got information on this?
Murph: most of the stuff I get from tree surgeons is conifer/leylandii/pine I can put it straight on perennials/trees as a mulch, but not on annuals if more than 20% of the chip is pine as it will be slightly acidic until it's composted down, and that's the answer, compost the chips down a bit before you apply them as a mulch. I turn the pile every couple or 3 days when it first comes in, gets real hot, when it cools down a bit after a week/10 days or 4-5 turns (depending on temp/moisture) you see lots of white mycelium start to form, I turn it less then, maybe once every 10 days, you can actually see the volume decrease in the pile at this point, after another 2 or 3 turnings you see the ratio of humus/wood fiber start to go up, when it looks like a good woody compost I will use it on annuals (4-6 months composting cycle) again only as a deep mulch, I never dig it in, and I'll move it out the way when planting through it so as not to get it mixed into the soil; after a year or so this is not so important IMO and it can be lightly tilled in before applying another deep mulch of fresher (still composted) stuff, by then the lower layer is mostly humus. best time to apply this is autumn before it gets too wet (I have heavy clay soil).
10" deep it also makes a great outside floor for the chickens, missed corn seeds soon germinates in it so the chicks get fresh sprouts, keeps it dryer in wet weather, and the worms soon move into it in droves, keeps the chick food bill down by 30% IMO, chicks love it!

also check out the video online "Back to Eden" some great soil made with woodchips is exampled in a permie veg garden (if you can get past the christian overtones LOL)
The other way you could use it is in hugelkultur (deep raised bed built on woodchip/logs, the wood acts as a sponge drought-proofing the bed, good for 20yrs)

I concur with what GD has posted.
We have a great deal of maple and alder here, so no problem in this area. My son applied wood chips to his garden back in August and already seeing results. His garlic is coming up after planting in early October.
His chips were from piles at a site that the county dumps and others too, so there is a mixture of conifer and deciduous in the batch.
I'm sure there is conifer mixed in with what I have, I have a chipper too. Just look at nature. I think at times too much science gets in the way.

Randy and GD,
Went through the additional information on using wood chips. LOL Still not much mentioned about what I have lots of, pine branches. Evidently how to use pine tree trash isn't much in the literature or I am hoping for something that won't work. I have lots of pine needles too of course. From other folks in our area I understand they are very slow to decompose into something useful in compost. Although if I understand the chemistry, the addition of nitrogen speeds it up considerably.
If our weather stays relatively benign for this time of year I might get around to piling up the pine needles, adding some heavy concentration of nitrogen and see what happens.
Murph,
In Paul Stamets book "Mycelium Running", page 77, if you can get a copy, he talks about adding mycelium to wood chips. He did this on an island in Canada that had been clear cut. He along with a crew chipped the left over wood and inoculated it with the mycelium. He observed foot-deep beds of chips decomposing to 1 to 2 inches of rich soil in 2 to 3 years, or in 4 to 5 years from natural mycoflora. The trees were Doug fir.
His web site is: www.fungi.com
Hope this helps.
Bexar
Murph; I have a close friend in Virginia City who beds his horses with pine shavings/planer shavings, almost exclusively soft wood products.
He then composts what comes out of the barn with lawn clippings and any other plant waste he can get his hands on. He turns the pile with a skidsteer loader. Makes ten yards at a time.
I've been using his compost for years to upgrade my garden soil, along with adding sand, as my soil is silty and dense.
The urine and manure seem to break down the wood chips in a remarkably short time, considering the high cellulose content, and the finished product is commercial grade.
Volcanic ash is similar to granite dust in that it contains lots of trace minerals. I wish I had some of your base soil to throw into my compost, as an amendment. You should talk to some of your neighbors and see if one with horses, or sheep or other livestock, and the equipment, wouldn't be interested in making a large compost pile.
I have a 2-ton truck, and I supply my friend with shavings for his horses in exchange for finished compost in the spring. It's a win-win.

WTF?
The voters of California reject the mandatory labeling of GMO's in their food?
Randy and Murph are right. We ARE so fucking doomed, because a majority of Americans are too fucking stupid to even vote their own best interests.
If they don't give a damn what's in their food, they sure don't give a damn about banksters stealing their future.
Baaaaaaa.....
Rockpicker,
As I understand it, the use of increased amounts of nitrogen speeds up the breakdown of soft wood fiber. So, adding high nitrogen manure to a pile of chips is a good idea.
However, I hope you don't have the same situation in your area that we do here. In our area, the horse folks like to ride trails in the BLM forest and national forest. To stop the spread of noxious weeds from the horses in the forest areas, they have instituted the demand that they feed and bed the horses with certified weed free hay and straw. The only way this can be complied with is by buying hay and straw that has been very heavily doused with herbicides, the two most common is Roundup (Monsanto) and/or Milestone (Dow). According to my research into this, both of these herbicides literally pass the animal to a large extent and is contained in the manure. Further more, under good conditions, it takes around 5 years for these herbicides to decompose in the manure. Since this manure contains herbicides that kill almost all broad leaf plants, putting the stuff on your garden is a killer of almost all common garden vegetables.
Make damned sure you are not picking up manure from animals being fed weed free hay or bedded in weed free straw. Same warning applies to cows, sheep, goats and even rabbits and chickens. Putting that stuff on a garden can create a world of hurt for you.
That CA referendum defeat is astounding. The pouring of millions into propaganda by the chemical companies paid off I reckon, or the vote count was fucked up. So now the GMO folks have pretty much free reign in further contamination of the food supply. I really thought the folks in CA were more aware on this issue. Your right, we are so fucking doomed.
Murph: I'm not sure it's the lack of N that slows the breakdown of pine needles, I make some very woody composts where a lack of N doesn't seem too important, I think fungi do most of the work and they can be very effective collecting and transporting N via the mycilium. Pine needles have a waxy coating that takes longer to breakdown. Do you make leaf-mould? I use builders bags to make leaf-mould, I tried it once with pine/conifer which took around 4 yrs to decompose, as opposed to around 18 months for deciduous leaf-mould, which is why I limit pine to <20%.
If you could afford space to set aside 4 piles of pine needles for 4yrs, starting a fresh (separate) pile every yr, eventually you'd have a good soil improving product. They actually sell pine needles in bails to improve soil structure in some parts!
I think you'd have to experiment with the pine to see how it went, in my experience mixing woodchip into the mix might prove fruitful.
Re the CA vote, if voting would make any difference they wouldn't let us do it ;) Gd
GD,
I have virtually no access to leaves, only pine needles.
One of my problems on these issues of soil improvement is what I physically am able to do in the next few years. Add to that the expectations and probabilities of what is coming at us. If I felt physically capable of engaging in these experiments is there enough time left before a shit storm hits us.
On top of that, we just got hit with 12" of unexpected snow. I knew we were going to get some snow but was totally unprepared for that amount. Nothing in weather report indicated that possibility. If this doesn't melt off completely, any experiment are held up till next spring. Reckon I may get back to playing some music this winter lol.
Hey Murph,
Forgot -thanks for the link to the Arch Druid's post on Jevon's Paradox. Good stuff. I've got it on a jump drive ready whip out and load-up if my brother-in-law starts with his "happy-happy" thoughts on new energy sources to keep "happy motoring" going forever.
Yeah, we're getting that storm now. Snowing like a mo-fo. Hope we don't get as much as you did. Because of this storm, I grabbed the flashlight and pulled a dozen or so carrots. Wifeepoo loves the Chantenay Redcore carrots -they're like crunchy candy. Should've cut a couple of cabbage, too, but the 40 mph gusts were pissing me off.
We have these two large locust trees in our front yard that shed these small, tiny leaves and which fill up 10 or so large bags each year I rake 'em. Seven of the bags go to the county to be composed (they provide the bags) and three or more of these bags are transferred into these biodegradeable bags that I set out in the garden. During the winter, they start getting really small -the small leaves getting really small and by March, it all goes into the garden and pots. Great stuff. The leaves in the gutters are almost soil by the time I get to cleaning them out and I put most of that stuff in our numerous pots.
Wish you guys had a few of these trees.
-Randy
Murph: I understand mate, I was really thinking out loud/on a tangent to composting pine needles adding N etc. thought comparing to leaf-mould would highlight the waxy thing on needles compared to lack of N in composting. Here's another one, fill a bucket with pine needles and fill with water, see if wet/anaerobic microbiology will break down the wax quicker than composting (easier experiment)...it's all good. :) Gd
Murph; I'm glad you mentioned the weed-free hay "problem." We have the same situation here in the northern Rockies. And, the feds are very directly responsible for it, as a result of their policies.
On the other hand, there are organic gardeners who keep livestock, and they don't raise or feed weed-free hay.
My friends who make the compost don't feed weed-free hay. They don't accept grass clippings from people who spray chemicals on their lawns.
As corporate America consolidates its grip on the food chain, a subcultural economic system is emerging, one whose participants, determined to resist poisoning and being poisoned, find ways to provide for its needs outside the mainstream system.
Obviously, if there are ten people in your local community all growing organic gardens, then probably all of you, to one degree or another, are in the same boat. Your annual need for compost outpaces your ability to produce that compost. Thus, an opportunity exists for someone locally to make a compost product for the group.
As corporate America consolidates its grip on the food chain, a subcultural economic system is emerging, one whose participants, determined to resist poisoning and being poisoned, find ways to provide for its needs outside the mainstream system.
and THAT is our future!! if we have one... p

Appeals Court: Tortured US Whistleblowers Can’t Sue
Torturing Detainees 'Part of Human Nature,' Court Insists
by Jason Ditz, November 09, 2012

The 7th US Circuit Court of Appeals has thrown out a lawsuit by two US whistleblowers, Donald Vance and Nathan Ertel, who were tortured by the US military after coming forward with evidence of wrongdoing by the contracting company they were working for.
The court ruled that US military commanders “enjoy broad immunity” in cases of torture abroad and that the military chain of command “couldn’t be responsible” just because detainee abuse crossed a legal boundary. The ruling added that torturing detainees is “a part of human nature that is very difficult to control.” They added that being liable for the torture would “distract” the military’s leadership."

blood curdling ain't it folx?? yet, it can seem so foreign, so... fuck, i can't even find the words for it. something like other-worldly or unbelievable even. or, you know this horrible stuff is happening BUT, its happening to someone else, someplace else, and is being reported by a 3rd party. all that mixed in with our own 'stuff' that has a tendency to stand guard. to insulate us psychically, spiritually, mentally, and emotionally from the sordid truth. especially emotionally. cuz... well, its just plain painful!! the sentry insulating us from that truth has a tendency deny reality and trump any ability toward true compassion. a compassion so sorely needed. the... "to be believed"... so sorely needed. by the victims.
not to mention the stigma around all this.
the victims. most of who, btw, have even more trouble than we do believing what happened to them.
we don't often get to hear their stories. a handful, yes. cathy what's her name comes to mind. but there are thousands of them.
i've mentioned this before but have never gone into much detail. DW is DID. by that association i'm 'blessed' with access to a ritual abuse survivorship forum. membership to such is heavily vetted. the ole 'it takes one to know one' being just one of the tools.
there are no words to describe what i read there. its beyond heartbreak... p
“People who shut their eyes to reality simply invite their own destruction,” Baldwin wrote, “and anyone who insists on remaining in a state of innocence long after that innocence is dead turns himself into a monster.” -James Baldwin
P, the first part of the above quote reminded me of your comment. It is so painful to read of, courage is required to fight the urge to dismiss and forget. Yet, love demands we bear witness, despite the shared pain these abominations bring.
Here's Hedges, lighting matches under the ass of the liberal class.
http://www.truthdig.com/report/page2/once_again_--_death_of_the_liberal_class_20121112/
Interesting he predicts the rise of neo-nazi fascism as a result of Obama's re-election and the liberal class having abandoned it's values.
RP,
Both conservatives and liberals have abandoned their values for the corporate state values. Both ideals will lead to an absolute fascist state if we aren't already there, which I suspect is so. Our very thin transparent veneer of what we like to call democracy is in fact heading for anything but democracy. That so much of our population subscribes to American exceptionalism as a delusion in the face of history will prove itself to be our doom. The longest running democracy in world history (the Greeks) dissolved itself in much the same manor that we are doing now.
As a nation we have divided ourselves into two opposing camps of false ideological differences. The savior nanny state has no more stability than the plutocracy state. The only difference is who is to be favored at any given time. In reality, all methods of state central power dissolve down to protection of the elitist grab for power and privilege regardless of the ideology that is pretended to be in force.
Until people give up the idea of special consideration to any group, nothing will change. It will always cycle out to the same outcome.
Here is a good synapses

Murph;
"Only in a corrupt, crony-capitalist, citadel of kleptocracy could the perpetrators of the greatest theft of national wealth in the history of mankind be rewarded with taxpayer financed bailouts, the ability to borrow an unlimited amount of fiat currency at 0% from a Central Bank they control, write the new banking regulations and be applauded by their corporate mainstream media for becoming even Too Bigger to Fail."
I love it!
..."there are no words to describe what i read there. its beyond heartbreak... p"
Ditto
For Gods-sake! You think, "no, this guy has to be nuts." Then you come to all the convicted members of the parliament and the government. And, then I think if the priests, and ministers and, now, Boy Scout Masters. Fuck. I thought they were bad before. Now, it's like they should be boiled in oil.
How can there be so many of them? It's like in The Green Mile, Michael Duncan says, "He gets them with their love." They won't tell because they are trying to protect each other. In my own family, none of the women in the family told anyone that good old Uncle George was feeling us all up at family gatherings. Nobody would hurt Aunt Mil. It would be too painful and embarrassing, and the family would be shattered. It was not until years after his death that we had a conversation, and all were shocked to discover that we had not been the only one.
Sometimes I think a bit of genetic re-engineering might not be such a bad idea. Except that they'd probably make us worse, not better.
Now I guess I'll go and read Chris Hedges and then start looking for the hemlock.
Good grief.
Oh, and p, what does DW is DID mean? Is there some sort of abbreviation dictionary somewhere I can find this stuff?
Dang Murph -that's some good DOOM!
I'm just wondering what will push it all over the cliff. The 480 million rounds of hollowpoint ammo that DHS ordered has me concerned. Will there be a shootout between DHS and the pack'in public? If it's that vs a dollar dump, I choose the dollar dump. We'll all be in the same boat -and, there'll be no money to pay the DHS goons to blast us. They'll just revert back to the criminal malcontents they were before they lied on their background paperwork.
Oh, we got a foot of snow from that storm that passed through your area. The first snow of the season is always nice.
I guess.

rp: check out the other videos from Ann Barnhardt, I don't care if she is some sort of financial prophet (not that I think she is) her other youtube stuff screams "christian fundamentalist /nutcase"! Anyone who wears a tie THAT long needs a background check before watching further ;)
All: sorry for not signing the sicko link above, twas me. Chris Spivey http://www.ccs-rochford.co.uk/spivey/ really puts himself out there with this stuff, he seems to be on a roll atm. This story, about paedos in power, was almost broke wide open in the 70's but was closed down by the politicos with the report pulped, then again in the 90's, Blair put a 100yr D notice on it closing all files for 100yrs (and preventing press coverage) on the grounds of "national security". The "establishment" is in full whitewash mode right now, it remains to be seen how far it will all be exposed, I suspect the same result as the "white march" SATS exposed us to some time ago, only without the marching :( Gd.
GD; Yeah. I put up that link before I got very far into her spiel. Have to say, I remember when she closed her small brokerage firm, and at the time, she seemed righteous. She lost me with her rant on the correctness of usury.
Have yet to watch the whole thing. Oh, well...
Paul Drockton, from Ramdu's neck of the desert, has written extensively on the Holly Grieg case, another instance of pedophilia involving public officials covering for one another. I second FA's boiling oil suggestion! What we're hearing about now is in Britain, but I'm sure there's plenty of sick shit going on in the US we're not hearing about.
On Betrayus: how is it the C.I.A. didn't know the F.B.I. was investigating?
Sovereignty
Go out any day you say is yours.
Look up, ankle- deep in snow.
That growl in the belly of the sky
carves a scar dripping chainsaw teeth
over hooped beds of greens.
This is your life now. You agreed,
it's safer not to know exactly why
contrails spread beyond your outstretched fist.
Didn't they always? What has changed?
Haven't you grown spinach twenty years?
The black feral tom with a knot of last year's
pine pitch-clotted fur he cannot reach to clear
slides, a shadow out of shadows, begrudgingly,
to eat. He chews, and purrs, with bad teeth,
then hates himself back into junkyard snow.
FA...
DW = dear wife
DID = dissociative identity disorder.
thats the new buzz phrase AND clinical diagnosis for a person displaying distinctive multiple personalities. the med dictionary goes on to say... " a derangement or abnormality of function; a morbid physical or mental state."
iow, a form of PTSD. i can attest to the 'morbid'. and the 'abnormality of function'. imagine not being able to tie your shoes sometimes. or string words together to make a coherent sentence. or having to tie a clothes line up around the house so you can make it from one room to another. much less being able to hold a job or comfortable in your own skin even. a good analogy for the way the anxiety manifests is its like a 'deer in the headlights' state of being. not always of course but whenever something in experiences trigger it. which is often. and its funkin amazing how many seemingly benign things (to 'normal' people) can trigger that anxiety.
for folx like liz, and there are thousands of them, who are victims of ritual abuse, cults, mind control, etc, etc the operative word is 'splits' that took place in the pshyche, particularly in the developmental years. these splits result from the intense trauma. in the moment its a survival tactic. in the end its a form of denial.
as for the morbid, picture a human sacrifice scene. like in that movie mel gibson did. imagine your a 3 year old. there are other children in this scene thats taking place around an alter of sorts in a cemetary. all the grown ups are dressed in robes and chanting. they're forcing you or another child to kill a cat thats tied to the alter. then it gets worse. one of the children is held down on the alter. i'll stop there. and we haven't even touched on the sexual abuse stuff yet or the mind control thats induced to keep these victims from ever talking about what they saw, were a part of, or happened to them.
we'd like to think its all just a science fiction horror movie but its REAL. and its happening to children right NOW as you read these words.
"Sometimes I think a bit of genetic re-engineering might not be such a bad idea."
this is exactly what i've been talkin bout all these years darlin. that's the only redemption that will change the future from repeating the past. we are blessed with the potential to do just that for ourselves. to re-engineer our own DNA. a better word is 'evolve'. its just that we havent learned how despite the over and over and over lessons. primarily because the parts of us that are necessary to this have been lost to us. but are recoverable.
bottom line here... we're ALL DID victims. this is exactly what alice miller was talking about in her work. the clinically diagnosed DID's experienced morbid extreeeeems.... p
and btw... notice the med dictionary only said 'mental' state and 'physical' state. not a goddamned word about EMOTIONAL STATE!!!!!
consider that one more reflection of the MASSIVE denial of the emotional body and its VIP role in the human psyche.
WHEN ARE PEOPLE GONNA START LISTENING???????????????
not sorry for the rage rant but my appologies to you all for acting it out here. NOW I'M GONNA GO MOVE WITH THIS SHIT!! GRRRRRRR... p
and hey... not only can she not get insurance she can't get disability either!! between meds and a p-doc (shrink necessary to perscribe) and a t-doc (therapist) and body worker and shaman, and and and... we're talkin 30 grand a year folx! not to mention what we spend in following leads that surface from these various parts of herself. looking for hard evidence. thats what it takes if ya wanna try climbing otta this bottomless pit!!!!!
So... what do ya'll think -with Europe going protest crazy, Israel blasting Gaza, Syria, more sanctions on Iran, Petreasgate, is this TSHTF time?
-Randy
Fuckin' A, p! I had no idea you guys were going through these challenges. And, she doesn't qualify for disability?? It figures, I guess.
I'm so glad that you and Liz found each other. I believe that healing her will extend to healing those who came before her and stop the abuse to those who come later. So, the good work that you do together will have ripples that help us all.
A couple of months ago, I forwarded an e-mail to a neighbor which got me an unexpected response. She wrote back as if she were someone else (male) and threatened me. After thinking about it, I figured that she has another personality in her head. So, I waited around until she was back, and things are fine now. Could have been bad in the rumor mill, though, if I had made a big deal about it. I will try to be more sensitive to this possibility from now on. Can't imagine the magnitude of the PTSD in cultures that perform clitoraldectomies, beheadings, torturing, etc. And, now, we are saying that it is OK to torture. Just great. Nothing a great big neutron bomb couldn't cure.
rp: Yeah, I'm familiar with the Holly Grieg case, it links to the Dunblane school massacre, mind control/manchurian candidates and another establishment coverup involving a peado ring. I still don;t know how far the the whole BBC "scandal" is going to play ont, it's a side show, a diversion, part of a much bigger coverup that's been going on for over 40yrs. Read it from the Scallywag magazine editor on how the Tories covered up paedophile ring that Jimmy Savile procured for. Read the original article printed in scallywag mag Archived Here. No wonder Peers demand child abuse investigation is dropped they are certainly not concerned about justice for the victims.
P: stay strong, not that my empathy helps, but you have it anyway, peace love and light (if that's not to corny, I lack the words) to you and yours :) Gd
FA... thx! i... check that, WE believe what you believe. you'd be amazed at how many courageous survivors there are that are pro-active in reclaiming themselves. and as for those ripples, they go both ways darlin. your's are greatly appreciated.
GD.... you're dead wrong buddy! empathy does help. in fact, thats exactly whats needed by not only those victims, but by all of us. along with compassion. its one of the things that can't be faked cuz you can feel its real when its real. and it goes a long ways in other ways too. its a form of saying, hey, i believe you. cuz, thing about it is, everybody including those victims have a part of themselves that don't believe. especially those victims.
if i could publicize one thing that would be it. to spread the word that its okay if you have doubt or part of you that just can't believe a victim's story. cuz everybody does inside somewhere. i think this would go a long ways to de-stigmatizing and plant some seeds toward open discussion... p
So... what do ya'll think -with Europe going protest crazy, Israel blasting Gaza, Syria, more sanctions on Iran, Petreasgate, is this TSHTF time?
ramdu... u betcha! i can feel a shift and its starting to come out in the language. iow, what it looks like when the shit hits the fan is gonna surprise us all. i heard some reporting today on that petreasgate thing that blew me away. they didnt... how shall i say it?... they didn't 'go all the way' (pun intended) but it was close.
i never figured he resigned over a lay in the hay anyway so expected something. but this was... WOW! and it wasn't one of those hit kinda things when a lefty is bangin on a righty or vicie versie ...P
P, Has it anything to do with suspected coup?
Say, whuh?
