THE CANNIBAL CABAL

from  freeacre

Is there no depth of depravity too low for the scumbags in government, finance, and media? Apparently not. On every front, we are continually assaulted by new atrocities. We read articles reporting that cancer and AIDS and hepatitis, killer flu, Alzheimer’s, autism, and god-knows-what-else is spread by mandated vaccines – and yet it continues unabated. Our food supply is contaminated by known carcinogens and gender-bending pharmaceuticals, and the regulators that are supposed to guard the safety of our foods are the same corporate wankers who develop and market them. Our country has become an empire relying on unending and undeclared resource wars to secure diminishing supplies of oil, water, natural gas, farmland, and whatever else the corporatists feel entitled to. Our money is created from a decision by the Federal Reserve to create electric zeros in a computer, then lend them to the government with interest, putting us in indentured servitude for generations, while the fat cats get mind-bendingly rich. Then this financial debt abomination is used to prop up the stock market because, for them, debt is money.  Rights defined “inalienable” as citizens of this land have been first compromised and now repudiated. No more right to a fair trial. No more right to assemble or free speech. “Whistle-blowers” are incarcerated and tortured (read the Rolling Stone article this month about Bradley Manning) or renditioned or killed. Our attorney general just admitted that the president has a hit list and pretty much anyone can be on it. Objecting to this outrageous turn of events can lead to being considered a “terrorist.”  Hugo Chavez just died from cancer (or a heart attack) and the world wonders if we didn’t just kill him. Why not? We admitted to trying to kill Castro. Hell, even our own President Kennedy was assassinated and the culprits never identified. To say nothing of 9/11.  So, no. There are no depths of depravity too low to go.

Why not?

On my recent trip to Portland I picked up a wonderful little book, “Make Gentle the Life of this World,” by Maxwell T. Kennedy. I had lost it years ago and was delighted to find it again. It is a homage to his father, Robert Kennedy, and filled with quotes from his father and quotes from his father’s personal collection. What strikes me in reading it again, is that it is a book that could not have been written today. It’s too gentle. Too compassionate. Too beautiful. I doubt that it could get published now. Not in this competitive celebrity driven culture in which we find ourselves suffocating.  Watch Chris Hedges recent speech on our carnal celebrity culture:

What is happening to humanity? It appears that the world is being taken over by psychopaths. Here is the definition from Wikepedia:

“Psychopathy (/sˈkɒpəθi/[1][2] is a personality disorder that has been variously characterized by shallow emotions (including reduced fear, a lack of empathy, and stress tolerance), coldheartedness, egocentricity, superficial charm, manipulativeness, irresponsibility, impulsivity, criminality, antisocial behavior, a lack of remorse, and a parasitic lifestyle. However, there is no consensus about the symptom criteria and there are ongoing debates regarding issues such as essential features, causes, and the possibility of treatment.[3]
While no psychiatric or psychological organization has sanctioned a diagnosis of "psychopathy" itself, assessments of psychopathy are widely used in criminal justice settings in some nations and may have important consequences for individuals. The term is also used by the general public, in popular press, and in fictional portrayals. This popular usage does not necessarily conform to the clinical concept. According to the Scientific American, although psychopathy is associated with and in some cases is defined by conduct problems, criminality or violence, many psychopaths are not violent, and psychopaths are, despite the similar names, rarely psychotic.”

So, what is the cause of this condition?

Paul  Levy on Reality Sandwich (http://www.realitysandwich.com/greatest_epidemic) writes of “wetikos,” a native American word for those suffering a sort of psychic virus manifesting in people who can’t get enough.
"this disease, this wetiko (cannibal) psychosis, is the greatest epidemic sickness known to man."[vii] We, as a species, are in the midst of a massive psychic epidemic, a virulent collective psychosis that has been brewing in the cauldron of humanity's psyche from the beginning of time. Like a fractal, wetiko operates on multiple dimensions simultaneously -- intra-personally (within individuals), inter-personally (between ourselves), as well as collectively (as a species). "Cannibalism," in Forbes's words, "is the consuming of another's life for one's own private purpose or profit."[viii] Those afflicted with wetiko, like a cannibal, consume the life-force of others -- human and nonhuman -- for private purpose or profit, and do so without giving back something from their own lives. One example that symbolizes our self-destructive, collective madness is the oil companies' destruction of the Amazonian rainforest, the lungs of our planet. This is literally a full-bodied revelation showing us what we are doing to ourselves. Another literal example that is symbolically illustrating the wetiko complex in action is Monsanto genetically engineering terminator seeds that do not reproduce a second generation, thus forcing farmers to buy new seeds from Monsanto for each year's new crop. This makes survival for many poor farmers impossible, which has triggered a wave of suicides among farmers, as Monsanto grows richer from the process.

Forbes writes, "The overriding characteristic of the wetiko is that he consumes other human beings, that is, he is a predator and a cannibal. This is the central essence of the disease."[ix] Predators, "full-blown" wetikos are not in touch with their own humanity, and therefore can't see the humanity in others. Instead, they relate to others either as potential prey or as a threat to their dominance. As if a different breed who is more animal-like predator than ordinary human being, someone fully taken over by the wetiko psychosis consumes others' lives, physically, emotionally, psychically and meta-physically, beyond just the material body and physical possessions to the level of meaning itself. Wetikos are the "anti-artists" of our culture, embodying the opposite of what creative artists do. Unlike an artist (please see my article "The Artist as Healer of the World"), who creates life-enhancing meaning and enriches the world without robbing others, a wetiko takes and consumes without giving anything back, continually draining and impoverishing the planet of resources.

We are currently in the midst of "the greatest epidemic sickness known to man" (please see my article "Diagnosis: Psychic Epidemic"). Many of us don't even realize this, as our collective insanity is so pervasive that it has become normalized. Our collective madness has become transparent to us, as we see and interpret the world through it, rendering our madness invisible, thereby unwittingly colluding with the collective psychosis that is wreaking incredible death and destruction on our planet. Being "trans-parent," our madness is beyond its mere appearance, which is to say, "beyond being apparent," i.e., not visible. Our collective psychosis is invisible to us, as it expresses itself both in the very way we are looking, as well as all of the unspoken ways we have been conditioned not to perceive. Due to its cloak of invisibility, we don't see our madness, a psychic blindness which makes us complicit in the creation of our madness.

Many of us can't fathom the level of evil to which full-blown wetikos have fallen prey, and of which they are capable. Our lack of imagination of the evil existing in potential in humanity is a direct reflection of a lack of intimacy with our own potential evil, which enables the malevolence of wetiko to have nearly free rein in our world (please see my article "Shedding Light on Evil"). In our psychic blindness we are complicit in the spreading of the evil of the wetiko psychosis, a systematic evil whose depth is beyond the capacity of words to fully describe.”

Ok  I’m back now.   Whew!

Does it spring from the “reptilian” part of our brains left over from natural evolution processes or some actual alien reptile influence?  http://www.examiner.com/article/conspiracy-theory-returns-november-7-to-trutv?cid=db_articles

At any rate, changing the minds or appealing to the non-existent hearts of these malefactors, is not going to be easy. Maybe it is impossible. Perhaps we are into cycles described by the ancient Hindus or Mayans who see long cycles of birth, progress, deterioration, death and re-birth as being just how the universe is wired.
When I was young I thought that hearts and minds could be changed by exposing them to facts and appealing to their consciences. Like, to end the war in Vietnam or to get rid of racism and injustice or to promote health or the well-being of the collective humanity of which we are all a part. Well, you can see how well this has worked out. …

Scum has risen to the top. Most of the ones in charge really don’t give a fuck about us, as George Carlin used to rant (bless his heart). Of course there are noteworthy exceptions that attempt to swim against the tide of greed, power, privilege, convenience, and selfishness. But, it seems to be a losing battle so far. From our last post comments, I know that our own dear p, feels that we are all one – even the wetikos. Once we embrace that shadow that is in all of us and deal with it instead of denying it, there is hope for empowering the sacred within us all as well. One hopes.

Meanwhile, we are like the little marsupials that scampered around the Jurassic period trying to survive without getting stepped on or eaten by the dinosaurs. Happily, the asteroid came along that wiped out the reptilian monsters and set the rest free. Maybe history will repeat itself.

Wow. This needs to be published to be read far and wide.

I had been hoping for an asteroid hit as well, direct and redeeming. Tired of being sucked dry by the ever thirsty greed of the damaged left hemisphere of humanity.

And yet, within this own existence, there are greater periods in the light, more understanding unfolding.
I think as Bho does, that everything is perfect in its place and time. The disease of greed we are seeing is no less than Source itself needing to experience all potentialities and possibilities - even the evil we are seeing unfold before us today.

Maybe, the infinite, universal being has experienced enough and can simply return to the light.
That is my prayer. An end to all the individualizations and a return to emptiness.

Who is not ready to welcome and embrace this. Neil chose this. Wise choice.

Yes published far and wide, I will go along with that.

What nobody else seems to be saying is that the whole greed exercise is a zero sum game. More for the elites is meaningless, there is nothing else they can do with their more. When they just add electronic zeros there is not even the satisfaction of doing it. Its whole purpose is that when they take more for themselves, it leaves less for us. The less we have the easier we are to control.

Here is an interesting observation. When we had a semi autistic pres with a thug as a minder everybody said what a terrible situation it was and this led to a few abortive impeachment attempts.
Now we have a three card trickster that talks positive with an affirmative manner, everybody thinks all is under control and the deliberately deteriorating situation is in capable hands. Cheney had death squads too but even he didn't think he would get away with legalising them. Now Petreus was got out of the way to bring in Brennan in order to handle Obama's now legalised assassination groups and everybody is nodding like one of those dogs people used to put in the back window of their cars.

Something that has just come into my mind, has anybody ever found the missing nuke? I haven't got it. Do any of you know where it is? My, how quickly things fall off the table and go out of sight.

Thank you, su, for the kind words regarding my post. The Higher Self part of me can accept that what we are experiencing is in keeping with a larger plan that Universe has, and it's okay. The other part, mired in physical experience, still kicks and screams. I am enrolled in Deepak Chopra and Oprah Winfrey's meditation cyber support group that begins on the 11th to help me cope. It probably sounds banal, but I am looking forward to the structure.

It is always a pleasure to hear from you.

SATS,I know what you mean. I almost used a picture of Darth Chaney for the post, but I figured it would add to the illusion that we had made some progress with Obama. Sadly, it is a cosmetic change at best.

Speaking of changes, it will be somewhat interesting to see who the next Pope will be. Too bad it can't be a female. ha!

"...The less we have the easier we are to control. " True. But, then, there is also less for them to fleece us of. I don't know if their actions are based on a plan or just compulsion due to being sick, psychopathic pimps in suits. Oh, jeez, there I go again..

Yeah FA, it's like a total "DOOM" bombardment each and every day from every which way! And the thing is, it's not just the US. It seems like "1984" is happening everywhere!
You know, maybe humans are just "devolving" -like that cop in Florida that wanted to arrest people and then eat their flesh.

I like to get into the comments sections of the stories from The Tribune's online edition and it just amazes me the total ignorance of the people commenting. The Left v Right, Dem v Repub, Lib vs Cons. crap invented by the LSM runs through almost all posts/comments. Granted, they could all be trolls, but it's still depressing.

As to the scum rising to the top, when I was in the military the saying way, "You fuck up, you go up."

Oh, ah, by-the-way, anybody know if there are any nice-sized asteroids coming by in the not-too-distant-future? If so, I think I'll get into my lotus position, fingers pointed upward and do my asteroid chant - "ohlllllmmmmmmmm.... ohlllmmmmmm... cometousssss ...holy asteroid.....olhhmmmmmmm...."

This is easy to say and not very easy to do, I do realise that but if you know all of the foregoing, then why the hell don't you get out of Dodge City. I do sympathise with the argument that this is my land and no one is going to take it from me. I will defend it with force if necessary and besides, you can always take one with you. But when force meets overwhelming force, this becomes a different story. Taking one with you is small satisfaction if you are going to be dead anyway. The rabbit proof fence along the Rio Grande doesn't stop Mexicans coming in with their lunch boxes every day. So if somebody built it, with your tax dollars I might add, and anybody can come in, then what is it there for? Once the good folks of America have decided to be protected by proxy and there is nowhere else for them to go, then it is fish in a barrel time. I know the where to is a difficult question, we have kicked this one around before. Canada has been described as climbing up the mast of a sinking ship. Mind you, the ones who are highest up are supposed to be the ones who are able to see the furthest. Information is only good if you know how to use it and to my mind, staying put doesn't seem to be the best option.

The Pope is a strange thing. The last time one abdicated was when Adam was a lad or at least in the 12 or 14 century. So what is going on? The 'present' one was chosen very quickly I seem to recall, something like a day and a half instead of the usual two weeks. It was said at the time that the hawkish cardinals had won the day. I don't follow the day to day events of the Catholic Church so I don't know if he has done anything 'courageous' during his watch. The last one to announce sweeping changes only lasted a hundred days or so before the status-quo resumed. What I am about to say is pure blogger speculation so treat it as such. With the world financial crisis beginning to really bite, maybe we can expect some instability in the Vatican Bank. Perhaps they are going to do the politicians dodge of taking credit for the good things and blaming all the crap on the predecessor. Trouble is the Pope is ultimately responsible for the machinations of the Vatican Bank and he is also the direct link between God and his flock (What a good word flock is). So any instability in the Vatican Bank can be regarded as the intent of God working through the Pope unless the Pope has gone off message and decided to go rogue. Maybe it will be played out that way and that is the reason for his abdication. If this is so Freeacre, then you really wouldn't want the new Pope to be a woman. Let's wait and see what happens.

sats... i don't see it zero sum. the need for more might be because its an insatiable need. but i don't think thats the whole story. more is food. thats levy's point as i read it. thats what the wetikos does. feed, feed, feed. take, take, take. more, more, more. brothers and sisters are food. but worse, our children.

i agree, not necessarly as to details that may manifest, but as to your speculation. political macinations and power plays in the RCC hierarchy are refelctions of the gap in purple (chakra). a very nasty place in its current condition... p

that part follows from where i'm at.

" - even the evil we are seeing unfold before us today."

not from where i'm at. that dog don't hunt in the face of god inside love. thats why there's such a thing as limits and boundaries we can choose to hold energetically. the choosing part is usually just the beginning. we've still got to figure out how to bring it into consciousness and hold it present. to manifest this spiritually (mentally) and willfully (emotionally) in heart. to manifest boundaries that actually protect us.

does it sound like i contradicted myself? yes. but i didn't.

as for emptiness... not me! all of me's havin toooo much fun!! ya, even in the midst of this incredible fucked upedness. cuz i'm alive! dead ain't no fun. 'cept for part of me.

FA... this post ROCKS!! one of your top 5. maybe tops. leavy is one part of the troika i take to the bank. the other 2? alice miller and ceanne derohan.

here's what i think based on my study of the works of those 3 along with observations of myself and the world around me... we all have inherited the wetikos. the wetikos is not a them, its a dynamic. a pervasive psychic illness. leavy sez as much.

but in writing bout the wetikos he's also writing from an 'us 'n them' pov. as for me, yes, p feels we are all one, even the wetikos. but he also feels that if we're walkin this earth we're wetikos. and, all psychpaths are weticos but not all wetikos are psychopaths. and, one can display sociopathic and psychopathic behavioral and personality defects without being one. the wetikos is the psychic illness we've inherited.

we can take levy 2 ways. we can focus on the wetikos and go off on an us vs them dead-end street. which is mostly where we are... an 'aware' monster eating itself alive. this is what i was talkin bout in that story bout my sis.

or, we can take him literally when he writes, 'there's a george bush in all of us'. his DIAGNOSIS: PSYCHIC EPIDEMIC defins the malady we call the human condition. most of us latch on to the us vs them model cuz we just cannot fathom ourselves being so fucked up and heartless. and worse, perps.

FA asked, does it spring from the reptilian brain? derohan: "Early stress and trauma are major causes of our brain imbalances, and even though there have been commendable efforts to return to our more natural ways, 95% of births in the United States are still traumatic, 65% highly traumatic. These traumas almost always result in Reptilian brain domination, at least to some degree. Because these imbalances in our brain and nervous system have occurred in the nonverbal parts of our brain, their root cause had been overlooked until very recently when some scientists decided to shift their focus from the Neocortical, thinking brain, and study other parts of the brain that had previously been dismissed as outmoded or "primitive."
http://rightuseofwill.com/feelings-matter.htm

miller's works study and hypothesize what happens in the energetic dynamics post birth. in a word... more trauma. resulting from what she calls poisonous pedegogies. our famiilial, educational, religous, cutural, and social, etc, etc systems. the methedology by which this trauma is induced via these systems of pedagogy is abuse. emotional, mental, psychological, spiritual, physical, and sexual abuse.

what happens next? miller identifies a very nasty dynamic that takes place in the developing child - the idealization of authority figures. via this dynamic the victim becomes the perp.

strong words, all of these? damn right!! guilt tells all of us otherwise. which do we listen to?? guilt? or levy, derohan, miller?

connect ther dots...p

RP... ya, i know we're all tryin. but if we're tryin why are things gettin worse instead of changing? cuz we're shootin at fish in a barrel that has no fish in it. throwin chit that has no adhesive properties to it at walls and hopin somethin sticks.

levy quoted jung... Reason has proved itself completely powerless, precisely because its arguments have an effect only on the conscious mind and not on the unconscious.

levy's stuff can help us a lot cuz it names the malady. it opens the door. but levy never read derohan nor miller. thats clear from his work. he offers no solution.

derohan and miller take it from there. and do offer solutions for examination and experimentation. both have been more demonized than praised for their ground breaking works.

put em all together, connect some dots and lots of stuff that's made no damn sense to us, starts to. AND, there are cutting edge recommendations about what we can actually do to effect fundamental changes on a DNA level. thats where the changes must be made or we're bound to repeat the past... p

When I read that I flashed on the Old Testament story of Abraham willing to sacrifice his son for Jehovah. I always wondered how he could have possibly done that. You have made me realize that we do it all the time. Only our God now is our comfortable lifestyle. Ain't that a bitch.

Anonymous said...

FA... i think jung nailed it. but its not the whole story. the mind aspect, even a reasoning mind, has an affect on the will aspect. she communicates in feelings and intuition. feelings, especially so-called negative feelings are often regarded by even the most reasonable of minds as irrational. which is to say unreasonable. when reason won't open to the unreasonable this leaves a whole universe of information to lurk in the sub-conscious, unresolved. hidden to the mind and leaving mind to have a love affair with itself. meanwhile, the sub-conscious runs the show... p

he offers no solution.

i need to retract that stmt. i confess, i hadn't read far enough into levy's essay. he does offer solution.

step 1: recognize our own denial... "Until we realize that there is a collective psychosis amongst us, we are its unwitting instrument. We are then feeding into the collective madness through the denial of our own madness, which is a simply mad thing to do. The denial of our denial is truly maddening, which is to say that our self-deception is a crazy-making activity, both for ourselves and for others.

as you guys know, i write (to the point of nauseum) about the dynamics of denial and the role its playing. most of us are aware there is such a thing. its pervasive amongst us now to the point where we now even have this term - plausable denial. its used ad nauseum by our leaders as a tactic to render them not culpable - untouchable.

but do we really understand the consequences of our own denials? levy's essay brings this into the light in spades. so if you find yourself still wondering just what the hell it is i keep goin on and on about, read levy's essay with that question in mind.

derohan writes of the unseen role of denial. its even the subtitle of one of her books in her 'right use of will' series.

step 2: bring the madness out of the darkness of the subconcious and into the light of consciousness...

"The unconscious pervades the entire field of human consciousness and is expressing itself throughout the field in the interdependent and co-related figures of Bush, his supporters, and everyone who unconsciously reacts against them. We are all interconnected parts of a whole system or field, and we are picking up roles in this deeper, unified process or field. We are not separate. This deeper, unified field, which is in-forming and giving shape to events in our world, is the very thing these events are reflecting back to us to recognize. Any one of us recognizing that we’re all suffering from a case of collective madness adds the light of consciousness to the field, helping to transform and dis-spell the underlying darkness. To recognize this is to instantaneously step out of unwittingly being an instrument for feeding, supporting and creating destruction, and to become an agent of compassion who can be of genuine benefit to others."

by doing what? well, for one thing, talk about it. thats why i talk about it. but, i gotta say this... as RP said to me in the last thread... "we're all trying".

i know we're trying. but, can we just stand in the doorway of awareness claiming that awareness of madness, midst our interconnectedness, can solve the madness? if that were true then we wouldn't all be sitting around this campfire sharing stories of the madness.

this is where derohan and miller can help. they take us by our mangled hand and dare to walk with us into the room of what to do about it. i gotta tell ya, its an awful place! cuz we are walkin into the land of our own worst enemy. but there's healing there. how can this be? it is because the problem ALWAYS contains its own solution.

what's levy's whole point? is it about what others are doing to us? no, its about the unseen role denial of our own personal madness is playing.

most of us can find compassion at least once in awhile. so we can know we're capable of such. the challenge for us is how to integrate it. to hold it present. this compassion for our own mad selves and our fellow mankind here on earth, the true home of the earth spirits.

but here's the challenge i raise... how the fuck can we have compassion for our own personal madness if we don't even recognize this madness?

the unseen role of denial. what the fuck is that??? lemme put it this way... if we don't start to recognize our own personal roles in the collective madness that is what levy names as our psychic epidemic, we'll never know... p

Palooka's Revenge said...

edit to add...

instead, we'll just keep doin what we've been doin. write ad nauseum about the madness that keeps happenin TO us. cuz it couldn't possible have anything thing to do with ME. i'm the victim!!

and i'll end with this... i've recommended the works of derohan and miller. if i could recommend other sources as well i would. but i haven't found any others that take this to the core and back again and then into the land of what to do about it... p

its time for a little TLC. this psychic epidemic is trauma induced. borrowing a page from dissociative identy disorder therapy: trama induced DID leads to strong reactions through thought, feelings, behaviours. many things increase stress including therapy.

that means we're victims to this nasty shit.

I have been thinking a lot about the current post Freeacre.  I have been studying and known people who I have been reading about for many years now, many.
The problems we are facing began a long time ago, with what I call the European invasion of the Americas. Some of my ancestors were a part of this, but some were here already and suffered the invaders.
A book I have titled: "Black Hills White Justice: The Sioux Nation verses the United States 1775 to the present", by Edward Lazarus, explains an awful lot of what the invaders did. In fact there is a YouTube by Toby Hemenway that covers some of this in the first 10 minutes or so of the video.
It's the same story time and again of the invaders and what they did to the indigenous people of that time and place in the Americas, and it continues to this day. They had their psychopaths then as we do now.
For me, I await another prophecy by a Sitting Bull for this time, and for the   Wetikos of this time.

Normally, I despise Phillis Schafley. But, she's got a point here. Making all women register for the draft now that they are deemed eligible for combat duty is WRONG, WRONG, WRONG. I can see voluntary service, but not being drafted into it. The Feminine is getting obliterated. Bad news alert. Where's the "Hell No, We Won't Go!" from the girls??

Bexar; Good piece on permaculture. Wholistic thinking is for sure what we need today. I don't believe the b.s. line that Gobekli was built by pre-agricultural people, but that is a minor criticism, in the fuller context.

I don't know, FA... If they were re-instate a draft that included women, I wonder what the sheeple would do. Would it spark a REAL civilian uprising that would put Occupy to shame? It's probably why a draft hasn't happened sooner, maybe.

Multiple deployments of soldiers into the meat grinders of Iraq and Afghanistan does a couple of things. If they "buy it" on their 5th tour, then the government won't have to pay Vet benefits. If they come back home from that 6th tour alive and commit suicide, they won't have to pay Vet benefits. Yes, this is hardcore thinking, but these fuckers actually think this way.

People who volunteer probably do it for economical reasons, escape, boredom, tradition and there are probably some who really do hate Muslims and want to kill them. A draft -drafting kids who only want to skateboard, play video games, Facebook constantly, might get the iSheeple to look up from their grazing... and finally say, "NO."

Maybe.

Gee, what could go wrong? You bring in a bunch of new women into a military environment they have a 50-50 chance of getting raped on the job. What do they do? They ... form .. . gangs. A female protection society. It would make a good novel. Just thinkin'.

Interesting times, the fall of an empire. Struggle tends to bring out the best as well as the worst in us. I guess resolving the associated meaning in all this is what wisdom is all about.

Rp: great prose matey!

re the draft: any messing with this legislation is surely preparatory is it not? There might be gnashing of teeth/duality arguments rampaging on at the time they mess with the legislation about it, going nowhere (something to occupy the talking heads, distraction from economic/waring/other more important news) but when it actually comes to instigating a new draft, surely the shit will have hit the fan, either with Russia/Syria/Iran or NK/China/Japan or both at the same time, leaving little room for draftees/objectors to maneuver? It would make a good novel. Just thinkin'.

damn good thinkin at that! the best novels are based on real stuff. i can't think of anyone better suited to write it! keep it short. like a chap book. then, self-pub in E-form thru amazon. you keep 70 cents of ever dollar. run the math on 50K sales @ 5 bucks.

capital invstmt? time and sweat equity.

key to success? timing release to coincide with real time catastrophic and/or controversial events hitting MSM headline stories. ie, a grunt gets gang raped by her 'brother' grunts and the case goes to trial.

think u can't sell 50K copies? hit right time and you could do that in a week! you write it but don't pub. you sit on it waiting for right time/event to manifest. and you don't title it until the event happens. then you title matching key words from coverage of the event. in this case, utility wins over cute every time!!

thats the ideal scenario. or... take it to market. rely on hot button, key words and phrases in title/text that are gonna match search works/phrases. buzz marketing via social networks, etc. word of mouth is the best marketing tool around.

i'd luv to see you get the notoriety your writing skills deserve FA. not to mention the income stream. same-o goes for RP!! the man's up there with any of the best of em in antiquity! ... p

i'm only bout mid thru pt 1 but i can comment on it RP. in a word... DUH!!!!!!!

if this was put up before, i missed it. prolly busy at the time and it fell thru the cracks. which is metaphoric and analogous all at the same time. iow, U has been showing us all along how things work but it keeps fallin thru the cracks in us. what helps this vid a bunch is our advances in being able to see U in action, out there. the hubble brought us an epiphanous occasion.

this demonstrates what i've been tryin to say about EM and everything being manifestations of energetic interactions. what's soooo hard to put into words is shown in the demo. especially in scientific words cuz i folded on any attempt at that hand in school long time ago. in that respect, i'm not even in the first grade.

i'm right where he sez the red bowl and the blue bowl are identical except for polarity. in my words, polarities of the ONE. a north pole. a south pole. which is just another way of sayin one bowl is dominate positive. the other, dominate negative. a dominate plus and a dominate minus. a dominate electro and a dominate magnetic. a dominate male and a dominate female. both are electromagnetically charged. both contribute their influences. geometry is just one way to see the how dance moves along. attractions and repulsions interacting.

if i was doing the demo i'd have made the red one south and the blue north. why? cuz the red is not only symbolic of the lower chakras, red is the color of the root.

blue is where? in the upper chakras. so, purple, indigo and blue are upper (north). aka, electro dominate. another way of saying spirit polarity. yellow orange, red are lower (south) chakras. aka, magnetic dominate. another way of saying what i've been referring to as the will. EM = S(pirit)W(ill)!!

green, in the middle is what? heart. the bal point.

what we're really looking at is god. a mother god and a father god. and us. and everything in U. all operating per fundamentals of creation. aka, fundamentals of universe.

this also demonstrates what i've been saying when i refer to the perfection of creation. which is to say perfection of god!! but in ways faaaaaaaaarrrr different than the mis-interpretations and mis-understandings peddled by those inclined to preach - from their position relative at their emmergence - to our imprints about their/our ideas/beliefs/conditioning/imprints of a PERFECT guy-in the-sky, pie. more correctly put, pie-in-the-sky, guy.

where, in the chakra line, would you put these preachers? iow, where in the energy fields? what color do you think of when you think of the chruch? most any church? i'd bet heavy odds you think purple. reality is gazillions to 1. aka, purple is spirit (church). blue is state (science).

spiritualists/naturalists. metaphysical/physical.
waves/particles.

all at the same time.

were would we be put the congregation? all over the map! like the color spectrum of a rainbow. what are those colors and how do they line up? thats a hellofa lot closer to the guy in the sky than the guy in the sky flap we're holding on to and scared to death to let go of. check that, scared of the reprecussions from an angry, punative, judemental, paterernal HIM... p

murph... thx. i preciate that. i finished 1 as well and lookin for time for the rest of the story. which will only be part of the story. in an expanding U there's no such thing as the rest of the story. except, thats the rest of the story.

rp... both ?'s otta my time zone. obviously if the bowls are turned over to face one another they make a sphere and we got lotsa them floatin around we call planets. the sphere is fundamental in sacred geometry. considered the most perfect of forms. perfection of creation follows from it. or is it the other way round? pun intended. even atoms and particles imply circles. fractals are connected to it. but waves don't always go in circles. or do they?

one thing that keeps haunting me is this business about.... humm, how do i put in words? contradictions works but is just part of it. and a bit misleading. ie, my comment to murph.

duality/oneness. i hear lots of stuff coming from folks who see duality as keeping us at odds from our tendency toward oneness. like, if we can't get out of this duality then we're precluded from ever realizing our oneness. but its obvious its both and U operates on this principal. we could call it the duality of the one i spose.

it can be real hard to wrap our head around but essentially i'm talkin bout what would be the flip side of our tendency toward conclusions where we are inclined toward something having to be one way or the other. that if something is this way then it can't be that way. the flip side being... oh yes it can. and is.

another way of sayin that is black and white thinking. and actually, depending on what layer of the cake we're talkin bout, it can be one or the other. but those layers are just layers of the greater cake. a point of view is inclined to be coming from where? one layer of the cake. hell, none of us can say something about something without leaving out a whole buncha stuff thats not only in context of the something, but the something is just one thing of a greater something.

yet another, the chicken and the the egg pissin contest. what came first? the sphere or the perfection of creation? they contradict and validate one another all at the same time.

yet another is to say it is and it isn't at the same time. thats the kinda stuff that blows fuses. to say something isn't is misleading. ie, relativity isn't quantum. but quantum's influence is there. and vicie versie. U is both. not only that, the is and the isn't are interconnected and both intradependent and interdependent.

we can say the same thing about evolution vs creationism. naturalism vs creationism. its not one way or the other. its both.

so why do we have these seemingly complicated contradictions? in a word.... durality. the duality of the one. at the core of it, its simple. and then it gets reeeeaal complicated... p

If this is true then she has upset some fucker. People like Madoff were just a diversion to distract the hounds and let the fox get away. It was trillion with a T I just read. According to the White Hats reports, Senior has all of the money for the International Settlements, believes he is untouchable and won't give it back. Both of the Clinton's each received a $20 million hush bung, Bidon somehow became involved and Hilary was the courier who passed a similar bung his way. Obama, being more senior received a $1 billion bung to temporarily have bad eyesight. Diverting the course of a stream is easy enough but when you try to divert the course of a river it tends to get noticed. Mind you, it could just be one of those stories like similar fates falling on Geitner and Gates et al.
Just sayin'.

Btw, why do reporters often go overboard in articles like this and call the crime high treason? The treason is only 'high' when state secrets are passed to a enemy during the time of an officially declared war. Otherwise it is only common or garden ordinary treason, as if that wasn't bad enough.

This is off topic. Sometimes I go to the real butcher which is a little ways away or sometimes, for convenience I go to the supermarket in the village. This time it was the supermarket and I picked up what American's call cold cuts, I have forgotten the English expression. The supermarket as you can imagine sells these in preformed plastic bottoms with a plastic film top or sometimes in a poly styrene bottom with a cling film top. Anyway, these always had a sell by date or a use by date or a best before date but this time it had changed to a date packaged. This might seem like nit picking but I thought something significant had changed. Everybody knows when meat has gone bad or smells a bit off or has gone mouldy but what about when bacteria levels have reached a significantly high level to make you ill but are not high enough to show visible signs of the meat deteriorating? It now seems the onus for deciding this has been passed from somebody who knows something onto somebody who knows nothing, namely the customer. This may seem like such a tiny thing to get arsey about but it is reassuring to know that the Fabians are alive and well and not letting their project stagnate.

Thinking About Graham Hancock's Demand
For Personal Sovereignty Over Individual Consciousness

That morning we stood shivering in Katyn,
in the deepening wood beside tracks
that disappeared beyond the train in fog,
the dank scent of freshly opened earth
seeped into our bones, and it was clear.
For us, all timelines ended here. Must it be,
because it's always been? We pitch
headlong into mean states with no memory
of our earliest bouyant dreams and, of course,
no remorse for primordial loss. Remember
a planeload of dignitaries, giddy on descent
into imagined contrition? Such flights
implode, short, on approach, in fog, for certain.
The dark memorial, cancelled,
with half the government dismembered
in dripping woods, just before the sun.

Anonymous said...

SATS

Rp, the quality and depth of your poetry never ceases to amaze me. Is there some situation that is playing through now that brought Katyn to your mind? There were two quite separate Katyn incidents which you have somehow managed to interweave together in this piece. The first was after WWll when the USSR managed to finish up with Poland. Academics, teachers, engineers and the like were rounded up and sent to a camp in Poland's Katyn forest. There weren't any military or intelligence amongst them so everybody thought it was a mistake that would shortly be sorted out at interview. Little did they realise that when they were individually called for interview, there was a soldier standing behind the door who shot them in the back of the head as they walked through. It was all a plan by Stalin who wanted a Poland that was weakened for a generation with the new generation growing up under Soviet influence. The Polish people are now in the EU and Shengin so we have fair numbers of them here. All in all they probably would have been better off with the Prussian's.

The second incident happened only a couple of years ago when the Polish Cabinet was going for a jolly disguised as a conference. Their plane crashed without survivors within Poland's borders. I never made the connection until now that the location of the crash was the same Katyn forest. Who benefited from this was unclear. Do you know anything more about it? At the time I did see a You Tube clip of people going through the forest talking about things that made no sense at all. They seemed to be collecting interesting bits of wreckage but they were not air crash investigators and their presence was never explained. They were as much of a mystery as the people on the Pentagon lawn.

After Hitler had raced through Poland at the beginning of WWll his armies swung north through Belarus (sometimes called White Russia) in order to halt the Soviets southern advancement. The local population got caught in the middle and were largely massacred in one of histories lesser known genocides. The Belarusian resistance generally supported the Russians as being less bad. Much the same reason as American folks supported Obama over Romney.

For those wanting to know more over these incidents, I can recommend two excellent historical anti war films. The first is Katyn directed by Andrzej Wajda (2007). The second is Come and See directed by Elem Klimov (1985). The title is a quotation from the Book of Revelations. After the battle of Armageddon, the four horsemen of the apocalypse invite those who are left to come and see what they have done. The story is told through the eyes of a teenager whose family were wiped out by the Germans. He joins the resistance and witnesses the horror and sorrow of war. During a period of about six months his face visibly ages forty years. On a technical note, thunderflashes were not doing it for Klimov and for the air raid sequences he finished up dropping real bombs from real aircraft. This is a true master work IMO, and a must see for people interested in this period.

rockpicker said...

SATS; I got this description of the airplane crash from Wikipedia.

"On 10 April 2010, an aircraft carrying Polish President Lech Kaczyński with his wife and 87 other politicians and high-ranking army officers crashed in Smolensk, killing all 96 aboard the aircraft.[106] The passengers were to attend a ceremony marking the 70th anniversary of the Katyn massacre. The Polish nation was stunned; Prime Minister Donald Tusk, who was not on the plane, referred to the crash as "the most tragic Polish event since the war." In the aftermath, a number of conspiracy theories began to circulate.[107] The catastrophe has also had major echoes in the international and particularly the Russian press, prompting a rebroadcast of Katyń on Russian television.[108] The Polish President, Lech Kaczyński was to deliver a speech at the formal commemorations. The speech was to honour the victims, highlight the significance of the massacres in the context of post-war communist political history, as well as stress the need for Polish–Russian relations to focus on reconciliation. Although the speech was never delivered, it has been published with a narration in the original Polish[109] and a translation has also been made available in English.[110]"

I can't point to anything specifically that motivated the poem. The first line came to me and would not leave, so I worked out the rest of it in a few days, and nights.

The NWO with the bankers at the top of the heap. It does seem to fit in with the agenda 21 and all its functions.

One of the 2 home town banks here has again been sold/consolidated. The 4th time in 8 years. Now they want to charge us money to have them use our money to make profits. Not quite on the scale as Cyprus but getting there. it appears the they won't be satisfied until the population is utterly dependent on them and totally impoverished.

“We have met the enemy and he is us.”

When you come to realize that every human encounter possesses a nexus point with every other human being we encounter. In each instance, we have a choice to be honorable, compassionate and kind to another or to take advantage of them. You have a choice to chart a new path for humanity or to walk in the evil footprints of those misguided ones who have come before you. You can pick up the Cross and walk the path of righteousness. Or we can continue to serve and be ruled over by evil. If reading the Bible is not your thing (highly recommended), then you can try a more secular approach in reading Dr. Wayne Dyer’s Power of Intention. Both works espouse the belief that we can manifest our just desires with the correct type of prayers, or the correct seven prerequisite beliefs, in order to manifest a change upon the physical universe. Either way, evil can be defeated through nonviolent means. Please remember that evil begets evil. Hate begets hate. Violence begets violence. Maybe it is time to try something that really works.

We have a choice my friends, but our window of opportunity is quickly closing."

I think this pretty well goes along with the message of the post. The battle begins with fighting the forces of evil (or the NWO) within ourselves. How's that, p?

fa... yes. thats levy's psychic disease diagnosis. as levy points out we've inherited the dynamics and pass them along now. he has his version of why this is so. i have mine... evil has compromised good primarily thru alignments and agreements running on subconscious levels and on conscious levels not recognized for what they really are.

making a choice decision is a beginning but just the beginning. the so-called path of rightousness is wrought with unlovingness, guilt in love's place, and unloving light imprints. not to mention interpretations and misunderstandings. evil does begat evil. question is, how did the evil get there in the first place and then.... how do i get it out of me? out of the magnetic entanglement? impossible to do when one is not even aware of this entanglement held in place magnetically.

evil does as evil is. otherwise it wouldn't be evil. its real easy to move along claiming loving intent, doing loving deeds, presenting a loving image of self while not even aware of nasty alignments and agreements made a long time ago and running the real show under the surface. its called presentation. it can look and be all lovey dovey on the surface. but if we seriously and objectively try to be an observer to ourselves and look for the contradictions between our intents and actions and certain of our feelings along with certain of our real thoughts we can begin to see that our inner reality does not match up very well with this outer reality we present. we can begin to see the gap and begin to see ourselves playing into it. and it playing us. playing right in to our imprints and judgements.

both the bible and dwyer along with several others who wag from the same tongue are mostly talking about band aids. the same tactic used by allopathic medicine. they are not dealing with healing the core issues. the stuff in the fuel tank. mostly because they haven't a clue about those core issues or what to do about em on the DNA level. the only level where real and sustainable change can happen. all they can do is talk ad naseum about choosing to do and be good which, yes, opens the door. but changes nothing if we don't jump off the cliff into the darkness of this dungeon called the sub-conscious and have some tools to work with.

dwyer's, et al, message... those aren't new messages. we've been hearing them every which way from sunday and including sunday for eons. if it were effective and sustainable we'd be talking about how it used to be. not how it still is. and certainly not how it just keeps getting worse and worse to the point that everywhere we look we see these nasty reflections. we're looking straight into the gap and seeing how it plays out... p

Well, I for one am still waiting for Obama to repeal the Patriot Act in the first 100 days of his first term. Its is like when you are a teenager and waiting on the street corner for your date to turn up and it slowly seeps into your mind that it is not going to happen but you tend to dismiss such negative thoughts and decide to wait a bit longer. I wonder why nobody mentioned it when he was up for his second run. What I mean is that I really do wonder why.

I also wonder why Assad hasn't popped his head above the parapet?

I also think that if all goes according to plan there will not be enough lawyers to go around.

Meanwhile over on this side of the pond, I have a feeling that Cyprus is an experiment.

Self censoring is a case of reconciling “Discretion is the better part of valour” with “All it takes for evil to succeed is for men of good intent to do nothing.” A difficult decision I have a feeling the Murphs have been wrestling with for some time.

This deal with Obummer signing the biotech protection act is a really dark omen, I'm afraid. Mike Adams says that by doing so, he as much as committed political with his base. I agree. And I don't think he cares anymore about what the progressive lefties think.

He's getting ready to move in a big way in an entirely different direction, and I believe it will effect the middle and lower classes negatively.

He hasn't got a friend left on the left. Not one able to defend his loyalties on the merits of his Chief's actions.

Maybe that's a good development, in the long run. What could be more unifying for the country, than to be shown clearly that the people you entrusted to do the right thing on your behalf have, in actuality, been screwing you for some time, and laughing at you while doing so?

Talk about synchronicity, the Chris Hedges link brought me in a round about way to the leaked USAF video commented on by Julian Asange called Collateral Murder. It deals with about about 20 innocent people in Baghdad being taken out by a helicopter gun ship and the disconnect of the personnel involved. They were involved but detached from the reality of what they were doing as if playing a video game where they were awarded points for the numbers of innocents they killed.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zok8yMxXEwk

Later in the evening I came across this video short (12 min) of a man who had a love hate relationship with the Enola Gay. He fell in love with the beauty of the technology until he realised what that technology actually did and the lies surrounding those events and how retrospective justification is awarded to the victors.

from "V", Steve Quayle alerts--

"What I fear is a scenario playing out like this. America is a super power hanging by a string. You are only as strong as your economy and our economy my friends is very weak. Fragile to the point that the slightest trauma, or the slightest "Black Swan" event could trigger the end of Pax-Americana not in decade or two but overnight. We all know that the kings of the east along side with their allies have formed a counter balance to the tyrant that America has become. They are called the BRICS. It was announced last week and I warned about this. The BRICS nations(BRAZIL,RUSSIA ,INDIA,CHINA AND SOUTH AFRICA) have agreed to create a BRICS bank to counter weight the IMF and World Bank. This effectively kills the dollar. They are setting up an exchange that would allow the issuance of credit and loans with solid Gold being the reserve collateral. They are doing this and building the framework and purchasing all the thousands of metric tons of 'GOLD' using American T-Bills. This accomplishes two things. One it dumps their position on the toxic US dollar and two, it allows them to buy as much precious metals as possible. The end game of this is that the BRICS understand that the dollar is about to die as the world reserve currency. That is why today over 50% of the biggest economies in the world have stopped using it, moved away from it or limited severely their reliance on it. If you do not hear the death knell ringing then you are deaf as well as dumb."

SATS, it's a combination of things. First it's the dehumanizing of a group of people, then there's the blind patriotism -doing your duty, following orders, other brainwashing shit. And, it's rare that anyone in the military asks questions or wonders why they're doing what they're doing. It's a job and they're working 12 or more hours a day and can't think of anything else but what they have to do today or the next. Then there's the money aspect. Most everyone I knew while working in a Merc. corporation in the M.E. only cared about making big-bucks -and didn't care how they made it either. Pretty sick bunch of crazy bastards they were. And, the worst part.... there's plenty of people like that around, ready and willing to stomp on your head when ordered to. Take the TSA for example. Our "To Protect and Serve" police forces in this country are becoming U.S. Stazi due to being sent to Academy (formally Xe, formally Blackwater) training centers, learning that the public is the "enemy."

Things are look'in... bad, man. I wonder if the BRICS are really going to jump totally away from the dollar and if so, will they do it gradually or.. you know, they could do a BRICS "get-together" like when the FED fuckers do a circle jerk in Wyoming, and decide to drop the 'buck' at a specific day and time.

Could happen...

I can see the logic of the Steve Quail report as presented but can this really be so? First of all, nobody on the outside really knows but it is strongly rumoured that the gold that was originally in Fort Knox has been redistributed to the IMF. Would the IMF really do a deal that would result in their own demise? Secondly, T Bonds, I believe are no longer secured against gold but physical tracts of American land. This asset might look good on the balance sheet of any new BRICS Bank but it not the basis of security for a system of trading. Any thoughts?

COOL tipi! I'm anxious to see what yours looks like, how it's decorated and if you're going to do a wood stove on the side or a floor fire in the middle? You're going to have to post some pics of it on a later post. They didn't show a whole lot of pictures of the interiors on the website. Sooooooo excellent!

Each Mother Earth News I get has an ad in it for Yurts. They look pretty cool, too, but also look a lot more complex, i.e. more expensive and harder to put-up.

Hey -question. I've pulled the swiss chard (didn't care for it much) out of the patch where I have mint, thyme, oregeno, catnip (doobage for the Attack Kitties) and basil. Not sure what to put in its place. I'd like some advice as to a REALLY good herb to grow. Something medicinal perhaps? Or, ah... something I can mix with rum -like mojitos. If Oblahblah doesn't start WWWIII by August, I'm going to order me some Crocus bulbs. The kind that saffron comes from. Gonna grow me some premo-expensive spice, baby. If I get laid off, I could convert the Madsen bike into a spice cart and sit it in the front of the local cooking school.

Something for the herb patch to replace chard? Something medicinal, something you can mix with rum (good choice) maybe a N.fixing legume too? Can I suggest a traditional remedy for ulcers, bronchitis, sore throat, viral infections, hepatitis etc. Something which you can also make liqueur or flavor soft drinks? Try Licorice. Gd.

Licorice? Like, you can actually GROW licorice? Can I grow red strings, rope or twists? Ok, just kidding. After some "Googling" which connected me to a Mother Earth News article on licorice, I'm gonna do it, but, the article said that it can get up to 5ft tall and crawl, so it probably won't fit in the little patch I have that used to be chard. I'm definitely going to grow it, thought -THANKS, GD!

Randy, I'd put in cilantro. Great in Mexican as well as Thai dishes. Also, chamomile grows easily and if you mix it with your mint, you can have lots of cheap "Sleepy Time" tea. I think I'll try some ginger this year, too.
My son will be living in the tipi for the summer, so I won't be able to decorate it properly until Fall. Hope to have a trout painted on it one day. We'll have two rabbit blankets, my homemade drum, baskets, futon sleeper/sofa, tribal knick knacks, etc.
Yurts are way cool. Cost twice as much, though.
Gotta go and plant some stuff.

MUST WATCH

This is a very disturbing video.

A one day old baby is stolen from its mother and father by the state and according to UK Column this is a far from isolated incident. UKC made the comment that not even Stalin or the Nazi party went this far.

http://www.ukcolumn.org/video/uk-column-live-5th-april-2013

I must warn you the sound quality is not very good and the people have a difficult accent but the pictures speak for themselves.

We have really come to this and if this doesn't make you want to fight back nothing will.
It reminds me in a peculiar way of the Enola Gay video I put up a couple of days ago. The film maker believed, as a child, that war planes did abstract things like firing guns , dropping bombs, they had flight paths and trajectories which were all very interesting but it was not till later in life he realised that their purpose was to kill people. Now Social Services, which may we remind ourselves means Services for the benefit of the people, backed up by the police are in the business of kidnapping a baby which has been growing inside its mother for nine months and using it as a money generating machine.

The only thing that was puzzling to me was that towards the end of the video it appears that the same thing had happened previously to this couple. This disturbed me slightly and I felt that this should have been further explained but emotions were too highly charged.

I have just come across this story but there is a link to another story 3 days ago (1h 12min) which I have not yet seen.

Good grief, Belgium. I watched both videos.Does Britain have a policy that retarded people are not allowed to raise their children? In some cases that may be best for the child. But all this secrecy? And, the children disappearing forever?? No visits? No nothing??

The second video is even more scary. Seems to be a bureaucracy run amok at the least, and institutionalized child trafficking at the worst - on a huge scale.

Over here we have social services that are despicably negligent when it comes to protecting children. Casey Dugart comes to mind. A little girl stolen from South Lake Tahoe while I lived there. She escaped her captors years later after having given birth to 2 children in a hut in the back yard of her captors. The male was supposedly under supervision by his parole officer the whole time.

Truly, the UK fucked with the wrong guy with Nigel. I hope he gets his daughter back. And I hope he can make a big dent in the system. I don't know what to think if trafficking and pedophilia are part of it. That is just overwhelming. Can't believe the Catholic church has gotten away with it for so long. Then there seem to be others as well. I have no words for it.
Are there no children who have grown up in this situation who are coming out with their story?

rockpicker said...

Turns out the murder of the DA and his wife, as well as his assistant a month prior, has to do with Child Protective Services and pedophilia, in Mississippi.

Yes Freeacre, I remember the Casey Dugart case, I had forgotten her name but at least I remember the documentary about her. She was found in a shack about 30 or so miles from her former home as I recall. In the UK, nearly said over here, kidnapping is big bucks for all concerned and seems to be institutionalised into the fabric of the justice / social system. It is the mothers and their inner family who suffer, the public who pay through their local taxes and the minor notables going up to high court justices and government officials who receive brown envelopes. It was the same UK Column people who exposed the Holly Greg case. She was a downs syndrome child who disappeared in similar circumstances, in Scotland this time. They claimed there was certain evidence linked to the Dunblane School Massacre where a class of first years were gunned down by a “crazy”. Also there were hints and allegations (to quote Paul Simon) that these were the sort of children that former premier Gordon Brown was quite fond of. Nothing that could be made to stick, of course but it was interesting that he took a socially acceptable wife when he received the premiership.

The second video, as you say is interesting for the fact that they have missed with a guy with a brain this time. Although it is a game he is making all the right plays and has forced a High Court Judge into sticking a finger up at the King of Belgium and the President of the International Court of Justice at The Hague. Such is the hubris of those who think they are untouchable. It is going to be interesting to see where this one goes. They said the Queen is embarrassed, I am only concerned with her sensibilities to the extent of where this could lead in the international arena. If Belgium recalls its ambassador to Britain and kicks the British one out of Belgium as a prelude to severing international relations, this really will put the squeeze on the justices. They might even loose their pensions. This is only wishful thinking of course, I am just playing logical conclusions, it would never come so far but can you imaging two countries in the EU playing Yah Boo with each other to this extent?

You mentioned the Catholic Church. The unravelling began when a relative of the former Bishop of Brugge claimed that he had been systematically interfered with by said Bishop. That opened the door for others to make similar allegations against other clergy in Belgium. Rats were popping their heads above ground faster than the church could bash them back down. When Belgium could not control it any longer, it went to Rome. The flock were less than impressed when the old Pope suggested the whole affair should be treated in the spirit of Christian forgiveness. When the finger was eventually pointed at the big man himself then he was too much of a liability and had to go. That is why it was the first time in about 1400 years a Pope had abdicated. I am not sure at the moment whether alleged victims of abuse are proceeding on an individual or class action basis. If institutionalised leaders for life can be toppled then what of governments which have to be elected?
Fine words can deflect some of the shit but some will stick. It depends whether this affair assumes the status of common knowledge as to what happens in the future. People remember abuse and trafficking of children cases. This is not something that is going to go away by declaring war on Bermuda or Grenada or some such. It is a courageous government that does not cut its losses when such cases get abroad.
